@Funkymooncow I cried wi h Homeward Bound every time too!! Even now I can't watch it without crying.
@CourtJack definitely a good way to jump in and join the posts. Also some members create an intro post to tell some sort of back story or whatever, if you want. Either way, welcome! FX for you too!
@BioTeach84- My LP has been an average of 11 days but this past month it was 12. FF said you can have a variation of a day or 2 either way, less days or more days in the Q & A section. Also, some women have higher temps until AF shows and then it drops after she's arrived. Or, for some, the temps drops and AF shows that day. I'd maybe wait another day or two before testing again because it is possible of later implantation especially with shorter LP. FX for you!! I totally know where you are at because I was just there 4 days ago. I totally get it.
@severmilli12- My face broke out a bunch too this past month and that doesn't happen very often. I chalked mine up to being off of BC. FX for you though!!
@MrsB8214- So when did you start temping? without starting from the beginning of the month you are probably not going to get a very accurate chart.
@Kstu728- temping is pretty easy, the key is consistency. Do it at the same time everyday. Some people can be sensitive to even a 30 minute time difference, so you may need to set an alarm for weekends or daily depending on your schedule. Also, you want to make sure you get 3 hours of sleep before taking your temp. Little things that you may not think anything of like breathing with your mouth open or snoring at night can affect it so if you know before you start temping that you have a tendency to snore, you may want to just start vaginally vs orally. Also things like sleeping with the AC or the temp of the room changing can affect it. Again, consistency is key!
Thanks @MNturnsVA my temps usually drop at 9 dpo, so to still be well over the cover line and not turn a test after AF is late is super annoying. I just want to know what is going on with my body!
personally I'm a fan of Old Fashion or straight up whiskey, also something whiskey tonic, instead of gin. And keep that positive attitude!
I like your style. I love a good whiskey, and that is usually my drink of choice. And wine
@mrsschmity and @BVBabyHopeful I'm can y'all live closer so we can have a whiskey and wine night? Seriously want to go to Scotland to drink alllll the whiskey. Bars with hundreds of whiskeys! Oh my!
@MNturnsVA@sorarose@Margo412 I started temping once I learned about it but that was after I think I ovulated but I'm hoping that it will help for next month. I know it won't give me feedback for this month unless I ovulate later than I think but I was wondering if it needs multiple cycles or just needs you to start at the beginning of a cycle. Thank you both for your help!
@MrsB8214 - you'll probably need a cycle or 2 to really get an idea of what day your O will be. And my first month was CD 18, 2nd month I didn't O & 3rd month was CD 20. So the O date can vary much more than the length of your LP.
@sorarose I didn't even realize it was a VIP membership perk! Yay, now VIP seems worth it! (I upgraded before O of my first cycle, just assumed it was standard.) Now off to obsess over pregnancy charts that "look like mine" .

@MrsB8214- The biggest thing is consistency when taking your temps. Trying to take it at the same time everyday and watching for things like if you are a mouth breather or you snore. Those things can affect your temps. Or turning the AC off when its been on for the last few nights or turning it on when its been off. Drinking alcohol (depending on how much you've had and when) can cause a pretty significant temp spike for most, especially if you go to bed with a buzz. If you go on vacation or travel for work, sleeping in different environment than your home can affect it. You can make note of all of these things on the date that stuff like that happens in the same place where you enter your temp on FF. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and I believe its right there. Also, don't be surprised if you have an anovulatory cycle ( or you don't ovulate) at some point. If you are sick or taking antibiotics, that can cause an anovulatory cycle, high intensity work outs can cause them (although if you are already doing these, you probably won't see that happen. If you were to just start them out of nowhere though you may be more likely to see that). And if you were on BC for a while, I read that some women will have an anovulatory cycle 3-4 months after stopping their BC. So I wouldn't say expect it to happen, but just know that it can happen and its normal. If you have multiple anovulatory cycles that's something you would want to talk to your dr about.
Note: I didn't temp this cycle but used an OPK... I have been out of it since the birth of my son last year, and this wasn't exactly planned this time around, we were targeting Jan 2016 to start trying for #2 but we may have come in a bit early.

The last couple of days, I've been getting a mild burning sensation in my belly.. like if I ate vicks vapor rub or something... i had this the last time i was pregnant with my son, just chalked it up to something i ate, but it's been consistent for about 3 days.. anyone get this sensation?
