My daughter was "Madigans" as we wanted her name to be Madelynn if it was a girl, or Logan if it was a boy. The whole combining names for celebrity couples was so popular at the time, so that was our inspiration.
This one is "G-Baby" or "Jr." DH is set on the fact that it's going to be a boy....we shall see!
We started calling our "ninja turtle" and it stuck. Idk who started it but I like it. Its unique and we love super heroes. On ovia it says he/she is the size of a Lego brick now so we've been using "Lego" this week too.
We also called ours Schrodinger's Baby during the TWW. Now, it's usually Baby, The Baby, or Our Baby. Although right now my LO is the size of a sweet pea, so all day long I've been referring to him/her as Swee'Pea.
I think we are going to go with pumpkin now. My son has started talking about "Baby Pumpkin" referring to a mini pumpkin we got at the patch today, but I can't get over how adorable it sounds, especially from a 2 yr old. And, it won't give it away if he talks about the Baby Pumpkin in front of people.
Okay, you'll have to follow me with this one. Back in May I was bucked off of a total jerk of a horse. I got a nasty concussion. While recovering from concussion I got what can only be described as crazy baby fever. So we're pretty sure the concussion and baby fever were related, and I'm calling the fetus "lil Connie" for my concussion baby.
We just recently named ours--I lost one in April at 8w4d (Tic Tac) and so we were hesitant to become attached--but had an ultrasound with a visible heartbeat Wednesday, so we are calling it Roo (like kanga and roo in Winnie the Pooh)
We call the baby "Mayhem", though my DS1 has been talking about "New Baby".
The weird thing is that he (DS1) was in the bath with DS2 and out of no where looked at me and said "New Baby" very serious. Later during bedtime he told my husband all about where babies come from and that "New Baby" was choosing our family. That was three days before I got a BFP, and he is 2. We had not mentioned anything about maybe having a new baby to him.
I joked that baby was our little Mexican jumping bean. Hubby didn't care for that. Lol. So I said fine, just Bean. We didn't use it much until we told my son I was pregnant. He uses it all the time so the baby is stuck with it now.
With my 1st she was peanut. Oddly enough she's deathly allergic to peanuts now. We are absolutely terrified of peanuts so this one could never be called that. It's been nugget lately but we'll see what DD calls it when we tell her soon.
We actually switch it up every week with what The Bump tells us for size. It has been fun so far. Every Sunday my husband asks me what our baby is this week. Loving it!
Our LO is called "sprout". My DS loves that station on TV. DH and I couldn't decide on what to call the baby and we were watching Sprout one night and had an ah-ha moment : )
I'm going to sound like a horrible mother to be, but we call ours little turd. The nickname happened by accident. Sometimes I refer to our dogs as little turds. Hubby was asking a question about the baby and I thought he was talking about the dog and I was like that little turd...... So unfortunately it stuck. But that is just the nickname we will use between us. I suppose around other people it will be jelly bean or peanut.
My baby is little turd also! From an inside joke when my husband and I first started dating!! My friends don't like it but I don't care!
We call our embryo "froggy bup." My husband, who can be very odd, just started calling it that. Well, the 7 week ultrasound looked a lot like a tree frog.
I really like parasite......lol however we call ours piglets because their twins and my first u/s they look like a pig snout pressed up against the wand.....lol
Re: GTKY - What do you call your unborn LO(s)?
