Re: Twatwaffle Tuesday 9/22

  • TW goes to my insomnia from 2-4am last night. And to the new & loud milkman who came at 4:15am and made my dog bark just as I was falling back to sleep. Grrr!

  • Mine goes to the TW who stole our mail out of the mailbox on Saturday, took the checks, and dropped the rest on the side of the road. Also to the mail carrier who isn't supposed to deliver our mail on Saturdays.

  • RLP is a TW. I thought I knew what it was- that jabby feeling when I coughed or sneezed. But no, now it is so bad every time I stand up or try to walk after sitting for any period of time, that sometimes I can't move at all! I feel like I have a premature "pregnancy waddle" just because I'm in so much pain sometimes.

Oh wow. We're these bank checks you could call and cancel at least?! People suck sometimes.

They're checks being sent to us at work. I got a big envelope today that had all the mail that was found on the side of the road and there were 7 or 8 return envelopes in there and only two companies put their invoice in so I have no idea other than those 2 who I should call and inform.

Rain is a TW! Not really because I know it's good for the earth and stuff, but it was NOT predicted by my weather app and I got drenched on the way to my car after work. I have an event tonight I was going to wear that outfit to...now I need to dry my hair and change.
  • I am a TW. I tried to cut my own hair (used to do this in college) and it's horrible. And my hormones are not helping - I'm feeling like bad haircut is this is the end of the world. Gonna have to go from shoulder length to chin length bob. Feeling very stupid.

  • @MississippiCatfish ugh, I'm sorry. I have definitely cried after a bad haircut before. Nothing lousier.
  • Headaches are tw they started last week and I keep getting them. Ugh
  • My heartburn is a TW... I'm very annoyed that I can't fully enjoy the homemade spaghetti my H made me. And later this evening I'm going to feel horrible.

  • Thank you, @cantobean! I'm definitely over-emotional about it, and I know it, but that makes me appreciate the comment even more!

  • I will third fourth and fifth the insomnia monster. It's pretty much every other night. Traveling to the EU for work doesn't help either. I'm still up at 3am- GAH!
  • @MississippiCatfish The morning of my baby shower during my last pregnancy I decided I needed to cut my bangs... Yeah.
Thankfully my sister is a genius with bobby pins and hair spray. It took the rest of my pregnancy for them to grow to a length where they would lay down on there own.

Haircuts for women here start at $40. A guy with the same length it's like half that. Its ridiculous!

TW to my ingrown it's gotten so bad I have to have it removed again! And TW to the dog who dropped her toy on my toe because she was eager to play.

    Edit for auto correct
  • My uterus that won't stop contracting. I get checked every two weeks to make sure all is as it should be but my contractions are relentless. I'm constantly having to take baths to get everything to calm down.
  • Oh, and the winner should go to the lady who pulled her van into the parking spot next to mine after I had just pulled in and was so close that I couldn't get my giant belly out of the car. She just walked in and ignored me and I was trying to squeeze out. I had to repark my van just to get out of it. I was in my lines and she was wat over on my side despite the fact that there was no one on the other side of her car.
  • I feel ya on the heartburn. I made a home made lasagna tonight and now I'm regretting eating it and I didn't even eat a lot! Now it's Tums and milk for me!
  • @Fullerj21 and @adventuremama you guys can probably look forward to a baby born with a head full of hair. That is one wive's tale where there is actually a positive correlation!

Haha I had soooo much heartburn with my first and he is just barely getting hair (and very fine blonde hair at that) at two! It'd be nice is this one were different :)

Attached is a picture from a week or two ago. That little bit of hair is a huge accomplishment for him!

  • @AdventureMama I love his clothes in all of the pictures you've posted! I can't wait to dress a little boy :)

Ah yeah, in the study it says most (23/28), so its definitely not 100% but there is a correlation.

Your boy is so stinkin' cute!!!!
  • Same! DD is just getting hair and I had heartburn with her too

I read a couple of scientific studies that confirmed it, but I suppose their methods could have been suspect. Who knows.

And your daughter is absolutely darling!!
  • I forgot to do this yesterday, but seeing a Pitch Perfect meme this morning brought back my rage. Target or myself is a TW. I pre-ordered Fast & Furious 7 and Pitch Perfect 2 on blu-ray like a month ago thinking that they would at least ship to my house on the release date. FF7 has been out for a week and it's still in IL according to FedEx's tracking number.

What's the point of doing a pre-order if a week after the release date I still don't have it? I'm never doing that again! A box and mortar store is 5 min from my house in either direction, I will just buy it in person from now on, ugh.

  • @brushesnbrunch that would piss me off soooooo bad!!!

Ps- I bought Pitch Perfect 2 last night at Kroger and they had a coupon where you could get the Shick Hydro razor free with purchase. Random deal, but I'll take it!

It's not as good as the first (very few movies are), but still cute!!!
  • I am late. Work is the twatwaffle today and it was yesterday too.

We saw it in theaters. I agree, not as good as the first...but I still laughed a lot!

  • @AdventureMama I didn't even know H&M had kids clothes! I'll have to look into this. I agree with you- I'm not into the cars and footballs style of boy clothes and that seems to be a lot of what the big name stores have. We found some cute boutiques on vacation and got a few things but I wasn't sure where to look around here. I'll definitely have to check H&M!

Same but I also don't like "princess", "drama queen" crowns or anything along those lines on girl stuff. We don't have an h&m and I'm terrible at deciding when it's ordering online. Maybe there's one in the moa and I can make h take me there;)
  • @wisco29 I definitely wouldn't be into the princess stuff if I had a girl either!
