PSA: When to call the doctor?

Do you have a something odd happening to your body that is not listed as a typical pregnancy symptom? Call the doctor.

It's really that simple folks.

Ask the forums AFTER you've put a call in to your doctor or while you're at the ER, but not before.

Seriously people. If I could, I would have CPS waiting in the delivery room with some of you as criminally negligent for not getting some of this stuff checked out.
If there's something strange underneath the hood.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  If there's something weird and it don't look good.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  Immediately.  If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor.  It's for your health and your child's.

If something is strange in your vagina who you gonna call....... your DOCTOR.

Is it bad that I sang your comment as I read it?

Yup, some of these people will be raising children... let that sink in.
"I wonder if my baby's face turning blue is normal? Hang on sweetie, mommy's updating her Facebook status to see if anyone thinks I should be worried."
Like you said, CPS should be waiting outside the delivery room. I've been saying this for a long time, in order to be permitted to reproduce, people should have to pass a test.

No because I did too lol
  • I'm surprised about some of the non FTM asking questions that really should be asked to the doc/midwife first. You've done this before and yet still coming to a forum to ask if you're going into labor...........

Thank you! I was going to post something similar today, but as always your phrasing is on point.... but yes call your freaking doctor!

Edit more words: What we really need stickied to the top is a "We don't know if you're in labor" discussion :)
  • Am really glad I haven't had to look at any mucus pics or the likes lol
  • ^ agree! W do not know of you're in labor. We can not tell. If you're worried. Call your doctor.

I was hoping everyone would. I sang as I wrote it. DD1 watch Ghostbusters the other day and it takes me a week to get the song out of my head everytime.
  • Just a friendly bump
  • @Ceridwen77 yes babes. Don't bother calling your doctor, you got this!
