Traditional boy names

My husband and I are discussing more traditional names for our boy. We have come up with Aaron Scott Arnold as our favorite so far.

Opinions on Aaron Scott?

Scott is a family name on his side.
John is a family name on my side.

Other names we have discussed

-Easton
-Zachary
-David

    I like Aaron Scott, but not a huge fan of Aaron Arnold due to the alliteration. I like your names except Easton - to me it's trendy-made up and not Classic at all

    Easton is Old English. It's my favorite from your list, I'm a fan of surnames as first names, and yes, that is trendy at the moment, but not made up...

    I like Easton Scott Arnold.

    I do like Aaron Scott, but the alliteration with the last name isn't my favorite.

    My husbands name is Aaron Adams and he's always been called "double A" and loves it. We have been looking for an A name we like to carry on the nn.

    Easton is one of the trendiest names out there. Toss that.


    I like Aaron I don't love alliteration but if you guys don't mind I think it's fine.

    Zachary is my favorite though.

    I have a two year old son, and I am so over the Easton/Weston trend. I don't think of Easton as a classic name at all. Both of my parents are British and when I told them we knew a handful of boys named Easton they laughed - in the UK, Easton traditionally refers to the something on the East side of a city. Like Easton Market, for example. It's a place name, not a child's name, and it's not like calling your kid "Brooklyn" it's like calling them "under the bridge" or "north of here" It's not a classic name at all.

    Aaron is a great name and I think Aaron Scott is a strong name. Zachary is a great name and I personally love the nickname Zack. All the zach s I've known are energetic, happy kids, so it's a positive name for me. Good luck!

    I don't like Aaron Arnold. I don't mind first and last names beginning with the same letters, but the as, rs, and ns makes it too sing-songy to me.

    I think of Easton as a very trendy name. The others are much more classic.

    Love Aaron Scott, but not with your last name. :( I like Zachary Scott and David Scott a lot too!

    Sadly alot of the oldest best boys names have been stolen by women ie: Ashley, Robin, Kelly etc. I have met a few boys of each but no one seems to want to go that traditional lol.
