April 2016 Moms

Anyone's morning sickness starting to go away?

I'm 11 weeks today. Most websites say morning sickness peaks week 10 and then starts to subside. It's been pretty awful for me but I know there's light (and a sweet baby!) at the end of the tunnel. Anyone starting to feel better? Keep us updated so other girls know when they can expect to start feeling better! Hugs to you all!

I started feeling better at the end of week 10 and it's pretty much gone now. Still tired though.

  • I am in week 11 and just started to feel better. This week I have had more good days than bad and I can't remember the last time that happend. I still have the occasional nausious feeling but hopefully I am near the end. It had been a long 11 weeks.
  • I'm 9 weeks 3 days and my morning sickness has disappeared. They only time I feel sick is when I'm brushing my teeth and get too close to my tongue or if I wait too long to eat.
  • I'm also at 11 weeks. I started to feel better for about a week around week 8, but it's back now, and it's making up for lost time.

  • I'm at the end of my 10th week and I am starting to feel better. I don't feel like gagging every time someone mentions food.
  • I started to feel better around 9 and a half weeks! Still exhausted and emotional, but food sounds good again. It's such a relief.

  • At 8 weeks, still nauseated much of the time, but week 7 was the most intense for me so far. I have also noticed that it shifted from worse in the morning, to worse in the evening. With my first pregnancy, it peaked around week 9. I'm hoping the downslide is in the near future!

  • Thanks ladies! You've given me hope! I don't know when a good day became vomiting only twice, but today was a good day. Hopefully this week I'll find some relief!

    Baby due April 6!
  • Well I was finally feeling great at week 10. Didn't throw up for a whole week...and now at week 11 it's come back with a VENGEANCE! I'm really sick of being sick!
  • I commented on how I haven't had any nausea this week (9) and about 30 minutes later it came roaring back. Sweet hubby came home with those Preggie Pops though so I'm prepared!

    This is me exactly.
  • Yes I'm 11 weeks and I'm starting to feel better ! I'm so happy
  • I feel much better today so far 9+5 I hope things are looking up!
  • Not better, but different: I'm not nauseated all the time anymore, but I'm puking sort of out of nowhere every few days. Not sure which is worse...

  • I am 9+ weeks and I can tell it's getting better. Nights are still rough but the Phantom smells have gotten much better.

  • Yes! I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow. The general feeling of nausea that usually lasted all day is going away for most of the time. Some days, I do still feel this but it's manageable. Unfortunately, not eating regularly or eating certain foods still makes me spontaneously throw up. I say spontaneously because the nauseous feeling used to give me a warning. Now it just hits me like a ton of bricks and I'm running to the bathroom. I also have some food aversions, mainly the things I throw up! Anyway, I definitely do feel better in general, just not 100% there yet.

I'm 11 weeks and starting to feel a tad bit better. My vertigo seems to be going away, but I still have a slight headache once in a while. I'm starting to like good again. I was so tired of being so sick/ nauseous/ dizzy .. Finally! There's an end in sight!
  • I will be 11 weeks tomorrow. Last weekend I vomited every day but this week I have not and the nausea seems to be a bit better. I still gag at some thing or think I'm going to puke, but it is definitely better. For weeks I barely ate... Well now I am making up for that because when I don't have a wave of nausea I have a serious appetite
  • I'm having a pretty good week this week and I'm only 8 weeks. I'm no longer nauseous and I'm only throwing up once or twice a day. I'm not counting myself out just yet tho. I've got a ways before the first trimester ends.
  • I'm at 11 weeks and it seems the nausea is letting up a little . Fingers crossed it stays that way. I am still very tired and emotional though .
  • I am almost 12 weeks and am starting to feel (mostly) human again. I also get the sudden urge, out of nowhere, to throw up. I am kind of borderline nauseous most of the time, just not nearly as severe as it was from week 6-11. I went to Pure Barre this morning and lasted the whole class! Which is a huge accomplishment for me at the moment :)

  • Scratch what I said earlier...vomited after I posted that!! Fingers crossed to feeling better Soon
  • All I do is lay in bed. Nauseated at all times. Vomiting randomly. So tired. I feel horrible. My scenario is that I just moved to Illinois from sc to live with my boyfriend of two years. Long distance sucked. Then I go and get pregnant the first night I see him again. Lol. Surprise surprise. I don't even have a job yet (I am an RN hospice) so I'm slightly freaking out. along with paying for this out of pocket. I feel dead. I can't wait to feel normal again so I can get out of this house and work!!!! Third pregnancy by the way. I found out I was pregnant my daughters first day of college! Good luck to all!
  • Mine subsided after about week 8. Although I still get waves here and there. It's manageable though. The exhausting is still hitting hard. I go to bed at 8:30pm some days and still can't get up in the mornings.

  • I was starting to feel better at the end of week 8 and I even got worried that something was wrong because my headache was gone, I was able to eat full portions and I had lots of energy throughout the day. Some of the ladies here on the board told me it's pretty normal for it to come and go. And behold, less than a week later it came roaring back. It's not as bad as before but I eat very small non greasy portions throughout the day, mainly eating soup at the moment (I happen to make awesome lentil soup so I'm not complaining). The only time of the day I throw up now is in the morning when I brush my teeth :P so just enjoy it while it lasts!

  • I'm 10 weeks 3 days, and mine is finally starting to go away. I was sick as a dog last week, and still feel nauseus off and on this week, but nothing compared to what it's been. Now if only I could get my energy back...
  • I'm 11 weeks today also! :-) I had MS pretty early at around 5 weeks and was sick non stop for a full month.. Throwing up constantly. Then suddenly a couple weeks ago it stopped almost as quickly as it started. Although I did throw up this morning, I have been feeling pretty good! I even told my hubby this morning I'm really starting to feel pregnant and not just like I have a stomach flu accompanied by a bad case of gassy bloating! Yay! :-)
  • Im 11 weeks today too! Just as i thought the morning sickness was going away, i vommited so hard it even came out my nose :-& no nausea this time tho, so no warning, at least i was already in the bathroom doing my hair...
  • Hugs to everyone, at least we know we're not suffering alone! Today was slightly better than yesterday, zofran feels like it's actually working. Last few weeks it had little impact. Praying for all of you!

    Baby due April 6!
  • Ok, I hate to be "that girl" but I must have truly lucked out... I'm 11 weeks today and have not vomited once. However, for the first 8 weeks I felt so nauseaus that it actually felt like torture because I couldn't vomit. I took Diclegis twice after visiting my doctor in my 8th week and haven't felt too bad since. I don't know if anyone else has tried it but it worked out pretty well for me... I hear week 13 is the golden week to regain some sense of normality... Hope and pray all you mommy's feel better sooner than later!
  • I am 11 weeks and I am so happy my morning sickness has subsided. I went from not being able to keep liquids down to being able to eat light meals. Meats and greasy foods still make me extremely nauseous though and brushing my tongue always leads to the extremes. Other than that so far so good!
  • Yes! Mine was oddly more so "evening sickness," but nonetheless, it has been rare since the start of week 11. We are all almost there! <3
  • 9+6 and I'm feeling much better ;)
  • I'm 11 weeks 4 days. Nausea still there and maybe a little wee bit less intense? Not sure. I definitely don't feel great and often feel like I'm going to vomit.
  • I came back to this post just to say, my easing symptoms were a fake. I'm almost halfway through week 10 and my all-day nausea is back full force. I'm soooooooo sick of being sick!!
  • So week 10 is supposed to be the worst? I am week 10 and haven't really been nauseous before but this week I am the worst and have little appetite all of a sudden. Still haven't actually thrown up though.
  • Hi all! I am 9 weeks today with my first baby and this is my first time posting. I have been so busy with my new job that all I do is work and sleep. I have been lucky enough not to vomit, fingers crossed, but I was nauseous non stop for weeks 6 to 7 1/2. I couldn't eat anything. I started feeling better this last week, but then yesterday morning I woke up feeling awful again and had the worst stomachache. No cramping, just mostly felt like gas bubbles that wouldn't come out. I was a little worried at first, but was reassured by my mom. After reading all of these comments I'm a little worried about what my next few weeks may hold!
  • Still on a continuous zofran pump and home health care for PRN fluids. Planning to start weaning from the pump at week 12 and discontinue at week 16.
  • Reading these post about being sick is making me sick. I'm 11wk and 3days. I am not as bad as before but not sure if it's timing or the medicine I have for helping with sickness...
