Feel free to throw imaginary vegetables at my head. It's kind of amazing. I even made a lot of rescue calls (listening to frantic fosters, talking to long winded vets, ya know) and HAD A SNACK! It was incredible to be able to eat something after 4pm and not feel like dying. I had two string cheese sticks and hummus. Even LO got to try the hummus, and he loved it. He thought it was so tasty, he shoved his cracker and his entire little chubby fist in and smacked on it all around the house.
Hummus has been one of my go to snacks lately. SAMs club has little pre packaged snack sized hummus cups with pretzels. They have been perfect to take to school for my morning snack.
Ahh this thread is always my first stop on TB after work! Hope all you ladies are well today! @bntfroggie woohoo congrats! And @Parker16772 that's great news!! I'm very excited to go check out these threads you guys are talking about!! I sing in a chorus and tonight's the first rehearsal for Christmas and I'm so excited! It's always so weird to sing Christmas songs in September!!
Hint hint hint - Check out weight gained thread
Make sure to have popcorn ready when reading this thread.....
I don't see the big deal about weight gain......other than the annoying phase of "too big for regular clothes, and too small for maternity clothes" stage, I don't see much to complain about.
Agree with pp. I don't mind gaining weight in the least because I know it's healthy and normal when growing a baby. But I really hate the in between stage which I am currently at. I'm trying to make it till the end of this month before spending any money on maternity clothes. My current wardrobe is having to do some major stretching to hold me all in.
@bntfroggie- Yay! Congrats! I get two new nephews and a niece before my LO comes. I don't know about you, but I'm super excited my baby is going to have cousins around its age.
Random thought: I don't like it when Easter falls in March. It just throws me off.
How many people on your own BMB could you talk about in a thread on your BMB without them knowing.... because they only drive by to make random posts?
I feel like you could do an experiment
I feel guilty about this .. I only mildly participate .. I am pretty sure I don't add much value. ::sigh::
On the bright side I am almost caught up on this thread after three days!
I know what you mean. I only get to check TB about once a day (between work, MS, restless sleep, more MS, and back to work again). By the time I catch up and have something of value to add, the thread's already got another 2-3 more pages to read! I tend to just like people's posts like a stalker. But I will add that even if I don't get to post often, I LOVE reading everyone else's posts. I don't personally know anyone my age who's pregnant or been pregnant (I'm the first in my circle of friends), so this group of ladies on this thread really are my lifeline! You guys are amazing and you lift my spirits every day - letting me know that I'm not alone.

I'm the same way! I try to keep up, "love" on comments, but don't post often, but I'm here, & love seeing everything that's going on. Lurker/stalker status ">
Morning. Today should be my Monday. My mother is on my case about that crib still- I asked her for the model number and guess what? They already threw the piece away that had the number on it so I'm screwed. She is complaining that ONLY 2 BABIES DIED. I said I'll remember that if you die in a car crash due to a recalled part on your car. Its the same thing. She snaps and tells me if you watch your baby and know what they are doing they won't get hurt. Some stupid logic that is.
My dog kept me up all night because he was wheezing, I still got up and got myself and my kid ready for school/work. I told DH I'm leaving. He said "Ok". I get to work, tell him about the crib. He says "I got bigger problems right now." His "bigger problem?" He never got up even after I woke him, and they slept through the school bus- and that means because I have the car that they had to walk the 1.25 miles to school. Awww...poor them *sarcasm*. ( I am so not in the mood right now.
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
I would not let your mother stress you out about a crib. It's not her money going to purchase a new one therefore it's not her decision and her input isn't needed. The crib she bought before served its purpose when it was used for the child it was bought for.
On a completely different note, I've been lurking on some of the other boards and am flabbergasted that someone actually has the gall to call another person a liar over what store they bought a certain product from. Just... Really? How the heck are you going to tell someone else "no you did not buy it from there"?
hmmmm any one know where the least expensive place to buy Similiac Sensitive baby formula is? I have a friend that had twin girls this year, and our billiards team wants to give her formula as a gift. We all chipped in and have $150 to spend......I have never bought baby formula before.......
@SparkE82 I would try Sam's When we formula fed this was the best value.
@charley15 big hug to you to get through the day. I say just buy a new crib and tell your mom you're done discussing the subject. I hope you can find some "me time" today even if it's just a few minutes.

Thanks @kynbar5 . I'm thinking we will do a lay-a-way at Kmart or Sears or something like that after Christmas, and get it paid for before baby comes. Idk who else does lay-a-way... but we will probably do that after the holidays.

Probably Sams or costco. Also check the Similiac website. Usually if you sign up they will send you a bunch of manufacturer coupons. DS was on enfamil and I pretty much signed my whole family up and got 5.00 off coupons.
Oooh so my turn for the cravings being 95% suggestive. Tonight is pork green chili night. Probably huevos rancheros. My mama in law can COOK!!! My mouth is watering now!

I'm totally eating chef boyardee spaghetti for lunch, and it's amazing. However that's all I brought. Must plan better tomorrow now that my brain is returning.
Am I the only one that gets a big grinch smile going when I see that someone has actually utilized the search bar and properly commented on it instead of starting a new thread?!

I'm in a whiny mood today. Everything hurts. My vagina, my uterus, my back, my legs. I feel like the waddle is starting already because everything just hurts, not that I have a 400lb gorilla in my belly or anything yet. Remind me why we can't take muscle relaxers, ibuprofen, alcohol, all the good stuff again?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Huge kudos to you ladies who already have kids and manage to take care of them, and yourself, and your home and possibly have a job outside of the home too. I don't know, I feel like I'm failing at being an adult right now. I have to prepare things for work, cook dinner, go to gym, walk dog, clean up etc etc but all I want to do is watch Real Housewives and pass out. I'm not normally lazy, I just feel wrecked!!!
I got no sleep last night. My husband was snoring, literally, like a pig. I'm thisclose to banishing him to the guest room.
Kudos to you for being more patient than me. DH was snoring last night and I had a full blown tantrum. I burst into tears, turned in bed so my legs were against his back and started kicking and crying that he needed to shut up. I felt so awful when he woke up, sleepily apologized and went to the guest room.
@ecwk I totally feel you. I'm on a big project at work and I spend most of my day thinking about food or sleep and my evenings are spent napping and having stress related breakdowns.
@charley15 surely there is a model number somewhere on the crib, like a serial number imprinted or on a little plate or something? I feel mentally invested in this situation LOL

This is where the model number should be (in the red circle). However that whole bottom piece is the piece that got thrown out (stole the pic from the recall website). We had plans to just cut one out to replace it, until we found out it had been recalled. By time I asked my mom to send me a pic of my bottom panel, she had already sent it to the dump.
Eta: Wait a minute! I think it may be on the headboard too! I'm having my mom check for me.
Ugh sorry, @charley15! Maybe you could still contact delta and send them pictures of the crib if they need you to - tell them the sticker is gone (truth). Do they need a serial number? Or just the model?

Somewhat starting freakout mode for airplane travel on Saturday with two kids - did it with one but never two. Like will we actually need a stroller going through the airport or is a Kelty backpack enough for our 14-month old (and 3-year old can walk) - we're borrowing one from a friend once we get there. We're renting car seats when we get there with the car (definitely calling ahead of time to make sure they're really there). I know we need to pack snacks and buy apple juice/fill water past security. We have our son's Leapster he can play and watch movies on (and might have our laptop). What am I missing? How many toys will we need for a beach vacation? I mean we're buying beach toys once we get there.

They just need the model/style number, but I just found where it may be on the headboard piece. I'm making my mom look for me Then I will email customer care to see what I can do about the crib.

@skruhmin I just don't even know! We pack up and drive bc I can't even fathom doing all that with all the kiddos! Jealous of the beach part, but I don't envy your getting there. Hope it all goes smoothly though!!

Do you have a lower profile carrier you could use like an ergo type SSC or ring sling? Both are fast and easy up and downs, but not as big and bulky as a kelty

I can't find my ergo right now - side effects of everything being in storage. My husband doesn't mind wearing the kelty. Driving would be nuts because we live in land-locked Colorado. No beaches anywhere close.
