Had planned a home waterbirth but ended up transferring to the hospital and after 36 hours of labor(between home and the hospital) gave birth via c-section. Obviously not at all what I wanted but an amazing and beautiful experience regardless. I don't think I've completely processed my birth experience yet(and probably won't for a while) but I'm so grateful that everything turned out well in the end and that baby girl is healthy and perfect. Thankfully my midwife knew when it was time to go to the hospital and when we got there it wasn't an emergency, I still had some time to try and get her to change positions and get dilated while I received IV fluids. Unfortunately she was just in a really bad position with the cord around her neck so she couldn't rotate without her heart rate going crazy. After 5 or 6 hours in the hospital my contractions were so strong they were going off the monitor ( So I received an epidural around 3 am to sleep and hopefully avoid a c-section. When they checked me in the morning I was still at a 6 and my cervix was swollen At 10 am they told me a c-section was going to be the safest option and 20 minutes later she was here.
Leighton Isaac was born Sept 1st at 5:28 am, exactly 7 days past EDD. He weighed 7 lbs 3 oz and was 20 in long. We were scheduled to be induced the night before but he came on his own with no help at all! He's healthy, happy, and perfect. He's already gained 11 ounces! Husband and I are so in love with him
Thursday morning, 10 Sept, at 2:19am, we welcomed David Lucas into the world weighing 7lbs 9oz and 22in. We are so blessed to be a family of 3 and thankful for the talented labor and delivery staff that helped us get there.
So late on this update! Aaron Hector was born August 30th at 7:56 am Weighing 7lbs 10 oz 19 inches long! My water began to leak. I went in to L&D to be sure it was tim . 6 hours of contractions finally got an epidural and 4 hours later i had an emergency C Section due to my son low heart rate and my fluids were low.
I'm late on my birth story. Jaxson Brooks was born on September 1st. Weighing in at 7 lbs 5 oz and 20.5 inches long. I had been having contractions for 5 days that weren't doing anything. Then finally Monday night at 730 my contractions went to 3 to 5 minutes apart. My husband and I walked around walmart, I bounced on the medicine ball and had my husband give me a back massage until about 1145. We went to the hospital got checked and I was at 6cm. Got checked in and given an epidural. My parents showed up at 2 and I was at an 8. They tried breaking my water but couldn't. At 4 I had a bunch of doctors in the room because his heart rate dropped during contractions. They gave me a shot to stop them but they were so close together that it didn't do much so they had me changing positions to try and get his heart rate back up. Right before they were about to wheel me away for an emergency c section his heart rate went back up my got monitored for 10 minutes to make sure he was alright. At 728 in the morning we welcomed our first baby to the world. Didn't get to hold him right away due to the cord being wrapped around his neck and being covered in poop. But at almost 3 weeks he is doing great. Only dealt with jaundice.
I am kind of late with my birth announcement...Annsley Grace was born on September 6th at 2:36 pm weighing 7 lbs 7 ounces 20 1/4 inches long. My water broke while I was on a walk at 7:30 the night before...I decided to wait it out because I wasn't completely sure that it was my water (I had my membranes stripped the day before so I had all sorts of weird things going on down there) anyway, at 11:30 that night I woke up in pain, ran to the bathroom and felt another gush and realized I was having my first real (painful) contraction! I woke up my DH and told him we should go to the hospital to see if it was my water for sure or not. Got to the hospital and sure enough it was my water and my contractions were 3 minutes apart. I did some walking until I couldn't take the contractions anymore and gave in to am epidual. My blood pressure dropped really low, baby's heartbeat was at 187 and my pulse was 135...I almost had to have a c section, but after 2 hours they got my blood pressure and baby's heartbeat back to normal. I pushed for 3 hours, tore both sides of my labia, but I have a beautiful healthy baby girl!!
On August 30 my little miracle son was born. I had no idea I was pregnant, I had failed pregnancy tests and had a period. I went to the ER for appendicitis and found out I was pregnant at 9:15am. I was 6cm dilated in the ER. After being admitted to labor and delivery I was 9cm dilated. His heart rate began falling and since we had no information on him I was sent into an emergency c section. At 10:59am he was born perfectly healthy despite no prenatal care. I carried him for 38 1/2 weeks. He was 6lb 10oz and 19in long. Welcome to the world Braden Matthew!
Easton Jakob 7lbs 11oz 20in long. Born on 08/27/2015 @ 3:00am. He's now almost 10lbs and 21 1/2in long! I had to get induced because of high BP. I didn't end up progressing after having my water broken and had to have an emergency caesarean which I wasn't happy about but he's a happy and healthy baby and that's all that matters
Our little heart warrior, Caden Nicholas. Born 8/19/15 via emergency c-section after an induction that failed after three days. Weighed 8lbs 6oz. At only a day old, he had open heart surgery to correct a congenital heart defect. He had a few complications including a second surgery to correct an issue caused by the first but he fought hard and was discharged home earlier than expected on 9/6/15. He is currently a happy and healthy baby! We couldn't be more in love with our little fighter!
