All things say girl but can it still be a boy?

So 1. Chinese Calendar
2. Heartbeat 170
3. NT measurment 0.9 mm
4. Papp-a above 1 (but Hcg is below 1)
5. Urine pale yellow most of the times
6. Left boob bigger than the right

All of the above say it's a girl.

A lot of them are old wives tales but a couple are scientifically proven.

So is it a girl for sure or can it still be a boy against all of this?

No morning sickness, salty cravings and my hair looks much better now - which say boy also present!

None of those are scientifically proven. They've all been debunked various times. If you want an actual answer you need a DNA test.

I read 1 scientific study paper on NT measurement but it said some percentage only holds true LOL. In our country its not allowed to find gender so I have to wait till the end. Goodluck to me and my curiosity!

Of course you could still be having a boy. I didn't have an NT and haven't heard about the boob one lol. My HB is 160, no idea what hcg is, left boob is bigger, urine is dark but I don't drink enough, I crave all sweet things, have had all day nausea, and my skin is horribly broken out! Guess what it was the same with all 3 of my boys Haahaa. I am waiting for my DNA results hopefully back tomorrow and I will let you know how true mine is.

Most of these old wives tales have been both true and false for my pregnancies depending on which one, and I have 3 boys, so no, I wouldn't worry that you are more likely to have a girl because of them. You are scientifically more likely to have a boy 51% vs 49%, so congrats, the odds are in your favor

Considering the are multiple Chinese calendars floating around, I'm sure you can find one that tells you it's a boy if it's going to make you feel better.

Sorry to break it to you, but you're definitely having a girl. I wasn't sure until I read about the pale yellow urine. That's what really confirmed it to me.

I don't mind either a girl or a boy! It's just that I am super duper curious to know. I am from India - not allowed to find the gender here but sometimes I feel it's for the good since it will be a surprise. About the urine sometimes it is dark yellow so I feel it depends on your hydration levels.

I freaked out when my DD had her legs crossed the entire time and we couldn't tell what she was. I was just so anxious to know and couldn't. I don't know how you deal with the not knowing lol!

All of my old wives tales say girl, but I will just have to wait until my scan to see! I think these are fun but lots of people here get really riled up over things that aren't scientific.

See and mine are pretty much 50/50. my anatomy scan won't be until October

and I'm sad I have to wait that long! lol

@charley15 I feel you! Mine is October 1st and if baby isn't cooperating we will have to wait until the 29th! I am very anxious because this is my first one so I just want to know (: I got the blood work results back from my NT test today and they were good so I'm just going to ride the coat tails of that excitment for a while.

@ACleanLife24 i know its a shame that i am pre-occupied with these thoughts but I guess the reason for me personally is that I have never Not known anything so close to me for so long esp. with the world of Google and internet taking over our lives i am used to having an answer to everything. Think there is a bit of confusion though bc simply feeling bad for the original poster that someone is actually "insulted" by her interest in her own pregnancy is not in the least bit "bitchy".

@bchgrl15 I take from your profile you are new around here.. but just stopping in to WK and make random judgements doesn't go over well. If you perhaps spent more time and contributed you too would be sick of the 100 posts over BS gender prediction methods and the like. There are 100's of people on this board and if every one was so special to start a thread about gender, symptoms, Or to argue they felt their baby at 8 weeks it would be quite dull and monotonous.

Hopefully you wil stick around and offer something a bit more

As one of the annoyed people, I was personally annoyed about the inaccurate comment that some of those methods are scientifically proven. No, they're not. Don't give false information on a website/board where people try to find reliable advice. One inconclusive "scientific" study doesn't qualify as proven by science. I use the " " because there are a TON of pseudoscience articles floating around. As well as a ton of "scientific" studies that don't actually follow a proper scientific method to test a theory.

Another reason for the frustration is the constant repeat threads of people looking for the sex of their baby. Luckily, they've decreased but a constant need to flood the page with "guess the sex of my baby" is frustrating and hard to ignore. If you want to discuss and show off your ultrasound go ahead but post it in the ultrasound thread. We don't need 30 individual threads looking for the same answer.

Also, I believe quite a few people mentioned why they were "insulted" already. Many of us are seriously too preoccupied trying to have a viable pregnancy to care whether it's a girl or a boy. We're just focusing on having a healthy baby.

I've participated in several birth groups on several sites since 2004 and never once been accused of being "bitchy or catty".
I never once argued that anything was or was not scientific, only stated that it seemed a bit much to be personally insulted by someone's interest in their own pregnancy regardless of other boards it may be discussed on.....since support not unnecessary judgement is the point of these. You are responsible for what you read and or believe on the internet.
If that personally insults you I'm sorry you feel that way but, I stand by it.

See that there? "Why" is the beginning of a question. I simply answered it. I never accused you of anything. Yes people come to these boards for support but also for advice. I was merely trying to clarify my stance. I'll take my cue from your comments and stand by my statements as well.
