  • There is s thread like this. It may be a page or so behind but it's called What are your symptoms? Just an FYI.
  • I don't know if we're going to want to make it sticky, because as we progress, the symptoms change. I know there was a thought to doing it weekly...HOWEVER, I do like the reminder yesterday that there is a place for symptoms in our weekly ticker change check-ins! Can we make a sticky that reminds people to put their symptoms there? That seems more logical.

I thought people could just keep adding to the post over time and discuss changing symptoms and whatnot. Anything to kill the hourly symptom posts.

That would be ideal, but I don't see people waiting a whole week to post their symptoms in the appropriate thread. Their itchy feet and constipation are important and we all need to hear about it immediately.

Seriously though - some ladies might also be scared and they actually need info right away.

  • I'm all for a weekly symptoms thread because

    A) It better consolidates the same thing

    B) A sticky it will be too long over time and too cluttered

    C) While there's a symptom segment in the ticker change, symptoms change from day to day

Me too. The bowel movement thread kind of sent me over the edge this morning.
Yeah, but someone used the Elmo pooping gif. What more could you ask for?!

RE: someone being scared- I think if you have some off the wall symptom that you want to ask about, it's ok to start a new thread. Just not "I need to poop", "I poop too much", "I'm thirsty", "I vomited"

Those get real old. I would also like to put a cork in the idea that if you aren't sick you are going to lose your pregnancy. That just makes everyone feel bad.
  • @jonesl12 We forgive you, since you're not a drive by or part of the positivity police.

My nipples occasionally feel like they're on fire. During my last pregnancy I had to wear a bra at all times (even to bed) because any kind of fabric directly on them was awful.

  • awesome ^ @KDHB13. Thanks for the response.
I'm going to read into it some more as I know this isn't Google.

I'm sorry I suck ! I worked 11 hours today and am exhausted !! My brain is fried today :( I posted a symptom as a new discussion and deserve the highest level of punishment allowable. Seriously sorry . I should know better :)

Long story short. My right nipple feels like the Devil himself is stabbing it with a spear laced with the blood of sinners from the depths of hell. It started this morning . Your thoughts ?

@jonesl12 My nips stung and burned horribly for the entire 1st trimester of my 1st pregnancy. This time around, not so much. The breastfeeding / pumping probably desensitized them. I used cold packs on them and nursing pads from early on, because even wearing a bra hurt. Thankfully it goes away, and it's normal.

  • Yay!!!! A symptoms thread!
  • Round / Broad Ligament Pain---
Has any had this? I'm 8 weeks and 2 days and the last 4 days I've been having sharp throbbing pain on the left side. I have 2 kids already never felt this before. It started hours after my 1st OB check which was 4 days ago. My doc said she has no concern because the baby looked well to her and said it's just "broad ligament". Let me mention, I haven't seen any spotting at all. ;) Thank Goodness, but the pain is like contractions. SCARY

  • Yes! The boobs! Mine started this week and I think they've gone up half a size and ache. My mumma did warn me I suppose lol.

I can't speak to contractions (FTM) but I've been getting cramps since my BFP. As far as I know if there's no spotting then there's no worry. Good luck!

I get it when I sneeze!! One time I sneezed and the pain afterwards was absolutely unbearable. Now I just try to reposition myself when I feel one coming lol.

  • @chanteee I've had RLP really early this time. It doesn't feel like cramping (and definitely not contractions, yikes) for me, it's a sudden, sharp pain that goes away quickly. It happens when I sneeze or stand up or turn too quickly.
  • @MrsCayEye & @chanteee do you get the pains while stretching too? I get them in the mornings if I stretch before getting out of bed. I also get side stitch pain from walking long distances now which didn't happen pre-pregnancy.
  • @Jlnitti80 yes it'll happen when I stretch sometimes too.
  • @Jlnitti80 no problem! Pregnancy is weird and has such a huge range of what is considered normal. It also impacts things you never would have thought about, like nasal congestion. My worst symptom right now is frequently getting the chills like I have a fever, so weird.
  • @MrsCayEye YES!!! I have had that every night this week. I have been going to bed with hoodies and yoga pants all bundled up like its January with no heat vs August and open windows.
  • I've been having pretty icky lower back aches, sometimes with leg pain.

I also had an ectopic pregnancy scare this week due to an ultrasound mixup with the radiologist. It's a long story, but the moral is that when your doctor tells you that there is no intrauterine pregnancy indicated on your ultrasound, but you KNOW that the tech showed you a gestational sac on a screen a few hours earlier, TRUST. YOUR. INSTINCTS. Make the doctor double check everything, even if he is condescending and/or resists (this happened to me); you know your body better than he does, and you've got to stand up for yourself. In my case, the doctor FINALLY called the radiologist and got the correct ultrasound report (there was a gestational sac! just like I %$#%$# said!), but he still did extra blood work this morning to confirm rising HCG levels. They're awesome, and everything is fine, but I am now looking into a new doctor.

  • I've got a funny symptom, and I know it's pregnancy related, since I had it with my first. I get the hiccups every day. And I never ever get them when I'm not pregnant (even drunk or eating spicy foods). Sometimes it's just 2-3 in a row a few times a day. Other times it's like 45 minutes long. I find it funny until my chest starts to hurt. Anyone else have this?

Yep! It's usually only one or two at a time though.
  • I feel like I have the hiccups constantly! Glad I'm not the only one

  • I'm wondering if anyone else on here is dealing with OHSS?  My ovaries feel like they are on the verge of exploding into a million pieces.  I swear I can *feel* me right ovary just pulsating angrily.  I had my first ultrasound on Friday (6w2d) and everything was good--heartbeat, placement, measurement--but my RE did mention that my ovaries are gigantic.  My free fluid is almost all gone--thank you cabergloline--but when I sneeze or move too quickly, I feel it all in my ovaries.

  • I have constant diarrhea. And I just feel like I've got some kind of bug all the time. I'm only 7 weeks. Please tell me this gets better.

@Cat&Baby I swing between constipation and diarrhea. It's normal. Try eating some bananas or white rice, as they can clog you up a bit (if you can eat them without feeling queasy).

@Cat&Baby Totally normal and it gets better in a way. Before you know it you'll swing over the to the other extreme and be constipated. So fun!
I am going in between those things right now and it.....is not fun.....I take public transportation to work and it gets uncomfortable sometimes.
  • Second time mamas- did your round ligament pain start earlier this time around? I also have strep throat right now but my hips are killing me!
