Hello April Mommies!

Just a friendly reminder,

Before you post a question, please lurk around the board, even 4-5 pages back to see if your question has recently been answered.
If you haven't found your answer, please try using the search function.

If you're mobile, it is located at the bottom of the April 2016 thread. If you're on the computer, it is located to the top right of the screen.

Here you can enter keywords and search past threads in which you may find the information you are looking for. Also, it will look on other BMBs so you can essentially see into the future.

Many of us are going through the same emotions, worries, and symptoms and have created several discussions about such. When we start several threads about the same topic, it busies up the board and makes it difficult for those who have a unique or new question to have it answered.

We are all excited to be here, to be pregnant and we all want to give the best possible advice and support that we can.

I don't really feel like anyone is qualified to be determining the quality of someones comments.

Thanks for sharing. This group is pretty active, unlike some other ones, so looking through 4-5 pages may seem like it was something that was posted a while ago. I used the search bar yesterday to find the Tuesday Group, but when I clicked on the first heading, it was from the March 2016 group. I wish there was a way for us to delete a thread once we write it and find out something else was already written. Would help out a LOT. Especially with Pregnancy Brain. :-)

@cjbwifey2010 there are two different search inputs, one for all of TB and one for whichever board you're on.

@cjbwifey2010 the original post said 2-3 but the reason I suggested 4-5 was because this page is so active. There has been days I was looking for a post from the day before and it was on the bottom of 3 because so many people were posting. But even if you go 2 pages back thats still better than not lurking at all

Would it be rude to just copy and paste the link to this thread in response to questions like this? Or questions about being nauseous?? Or fatigued?? I don't want to get myself banned but goodness there are toooooo many sensitive speshul snowflaykes here!!! I miss the TTGP girls so badly. I think that would be a fine idea to do in a friendly tone, educational for the person too since they honestly might not know about the search options.

My intent would always be friendly and educational. The problem would come from how it received from someone who might not know. A "friendly tone" to me doesn't mean the same thing to sensitive gals/noobs.

For example, my response would be:

"Sorry you are experiencing (enter symptom here). This is a common symptom and it is discussed frequently. Check out the search function and this awesome thread about it: (insert link to search function thread)"

Depending on the OP, I would either get a "thanks, I'll check it out" OR "you are such a meanie! we are all here to support one another! everyone is allowed to ask whatever question they want!!" Or a WK will come out of nowhere and say something similar. Blah, no thanks.

I got your back if that happens, unless I'm not around.

It's hard to keep track, but it seems like many of these ladies are just popping in to ask a question and then they leave when their needs are met. Repeat posts are getting old pretty fast, at least with regular community participants.

If you are on the mobile app if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the main page you will see the page numbers to click on. underneath the page numbers there is a bar inside the bar it says search April 2016

I only use this on my phone. Others may be in the same boat. I don't see a search bar.

If there is one, great! Where is it. I'll use it.

If there isn't, well frankly the amount of I'm willing to put into scrolling through old posts on my tiny phone simply to minimize someone else's mild annoyance in the face of repetition is exactly zero minutes. If it bothers you that much, you're always free to use your own time to use your own search bar, find a previous thread that you feel is identical, and post in in response. In fact, I would be grateful.
