Just looking for some opinions

DS is Daniel Vincent and we call him Dean. Vincent was my DH's grandfather. For this baby who is also a boy, I would like to have a middle name from my side of the family. I was thinking of Greyson Anthony (my great-grandfather) and we would call him Grey. So Daniel Vincent and Greyson Anthony, and I would shriek Dean and Grey across the playground. Thoughts?

I don't like Greyson. It's very trendy. Daniel Vincent is nice and timeless. I do like Anthony.

You lost me with "Dean" from "Daniel" but ok.
I think your name choice is fine. Greyson seems to be trending lately, but I don't know recent numbers.
How does your DH feel about the name?
Seems fair to have a choice from your side but ultimately you should both agree on the name.

I would side eye you for calling a kid Grey. It's not the worst name, and it seems to be trendy so maybe it won't seem so odd in a few years. Also, you have one trendy and one traditional name. But it's not my kid so you do you.

I'm not a fan of Greyson either... sounds super trendy and odd with your son having such a traditional, classic name (and nn too).

We have a Graham in our family with nn Gray. Just another option and not as trendy.

A lot of people here don't like Grayson/Greyson, but I like it. I personally prefer the Grayson/Gray spelling though

I echo a lot of the PPs. Greyson is NMS but Anthony really works so perhaps Anthony Greyson instead of Greyson Anthony..?

My son's name is Greyson, in my defense I picked it 6 years ago when we started TTC, and had no idea it would be "so" popular/trendy by the time we actually were able to have a child.

I obviously love the name, and so does everyone I've ever met. Also, maybe it is internet trendy, but I've never met another one, or heard of anyone naming their son that. I call will call him Grey eventually when the name fits him, maybe tween + in age.

I also love Daniel Vincent!

I don't see the appeal of Grey/Greyson at all. Besides being ridiculously trendy, the color grey is just too drab for a name. Anthony is a much better first name, and if you have to do Greyson, please middle name it. Your son's name is so classic and wonderful, his brother deserves the same.
