I know that baby showers are gifts, but if you could have any theme that you wanted, what would it be and why?

Also, if you are not doing a shower, what theme are you thinking about for your nursery?

This is just something for fun and to generate creative ideas for anyone who needs them. Enjoy!

    We're not having a shower (as far as I know) because this is my second little boy in 3 years and we have all his baby things still. We did my first son's nursery in Winnie the Pooh and will use the same stuff for this little guy.

    We are not doing a themed baby shower. We'll just include the colors of the nursery on the invite! Nursery colors are navy blue, coral, gold and pops of turquoise. I was having a hard time coming up with a theme I actually liked. Maybe this thread will help me out with that and I'll re think it!

    @AudriannaMaria I like the sound of your color scheme. It sounds different, especially because you are having a girl right? That's cool to go nontraditional.

    We're doing a garden party for the shower (baby girl) - super excited! Our nursery doesn't have as much of a theme as a style... Very classic and simple - colors are light pink, grey and white. My DH just finished painting it and I got cute drapes and an area rug... Still a lot left to do though!

    ETA -- we painted the walls of the nursery a light grey and will do pops of navy blue and white accent colors, with anchors and sailboats.

    I'm jealous! The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorite movies. My Aunt and Mom are throwing my shower, and they looked at me like I had 8 heads when I suggested that ( they asked me about themes lol). Aww and Peter Pan. Like old school Disney Peter Pan? Once Upon A Time fake ruined Peter for me. But I will always love the movie.

    My mom is throwing a Baby Q for my shower so we are doing simple decorations like pink balloons and streamers, but our nursery is a woodland fairy type of theme :) I'm so excited to start on it!

    Me too! Well, "Geek Chic", but I called it Nerdy because SO's name starts with an N and I really wanted Daddy to be reflected in the shower. I wanted Star Wars, my aunt said: Why not just blue? We can't do blue? Lol my Dad loves the idea. Maybe that will be the nursery.

    The nursery is being done in the Lion King, the shower will likely be as well.

    We are not having a shower (that I am aware of) but DD's nursery is beach-themed, and will will be using the same stuff for DD#2. Since the nursery is "done" I am starting the work on DD's big girl room :)

    No baby shower, as this is our 3rd child. His big sisters helped pick his nursery theme though: Dr Seuss. We are painting & using the big decals. Our 2 daughters can't wait to read all their favorite Seuss stories to their little brother in his room. :x

    The theme for LO nursery is safari so basically lions elephants monkeys giraffes. Not sure what the theme of my shower is as my family is planning it but it was mentioned that I like owls. I'll find out in November.

    I know the date of my baby shower but not the theme. That part is a surprise :). But my baby boy's theme in his nursery is Monsters Inc. And then I found this the other day at the Disney Store and loved the monsters theme even more!

    No baby shower as this is our second. My sons room is navy with navy and white gingham curtains and bedding. We got the matching curtains and bedding in pink gingham for our daughter. I like that they will have somewhat matching nurseries.

    Even though baby girl will be using all of DS's old things, everyone insisted on throwing me a shower. I'm pretty sure it's because they know my mom would cook the food. :))
    The them is fall with pumpkins and it'll be at DH's parents' house since they have a big barn on their property. FIL will get the hayride going for all the kiddos so it'll be fun.

    Baby girl's room will be the same as DS's. Grey/charcoal and white with yellow.
    I'm sure I've posted photos a billion times so you may be tired of them already, but I just love DS's room even though it isn't finished.
    First ones are in the old house and the ones with a bed are in the new place. I especially love his bed because it is so low, and there were times where he would roll out of it, and he would just climb back in. :))

    We are doing jungle theme for DS's nursery, and when my best friend heard that she decided to plan the shower with that theme too. At least that's what she made me think :)

    @chiccobeanz I found some great stuff on Etsy for Star Wars themed nurseries and kohls has lots of little area rugs, curtains etc

    Thanks :) The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorites too. My mom is throwing the shower and it was her idea cuz the shower was always going to be in Oct and Jasper is due in Dec before Christmas... Get it? ;) lol And the nursery will be Disney Peter Pan anything else just wouldn't feel right

    DD'S room is white and we're not painting it. Our whole place is white (the walls are textured and we rent). We're adding color with the curtains (eggplant-ish), gray crib and light pink and purple owl themed bedding. DH is painting an old dresser we have to match the curtains and he got this sparkly varnish for the drawers. It all sounds random but I think it'll tie together nicely. We're also planning on painting some small canvases to hang and I'll probably make something with her name on it for the walls too.

    Our shower is navy, pink, white and gold chevron.

    Our nursery is turquoise, grey and white chevron.

    Not having a shower this time but with DS it was blue and orange safari themed. My aunt hosted it for us as a sip and see and had little stuffed animals set out for decorations which she then gifted us. DS latched on to the giraffe one and is still obsessed with giraffes.

    We've gone through some different themes with his room. Safari mostly then added some Care Bears. Now as he'll be sharing his room with Bun, we're doing navy on DS's side and apple green on Bun's with touches of grey and cherry red throughout to tight it all together. It's simple but I'm excited and it'll make it easy to have it grow with them both and their interests.

    We're doing a jungle theme for the nursery and shower. The invites say "lions and tigers and bears oh boy!" Side bar question for you ladies...are you having men at your shower? It's totally unheard of in my side of the family and DH thinks it's weird too, but his family thinks it should be men and women. Just curious what you all think.
