Monday Moans

Re: Monday Moans

  • Loading the player...
  • I really want ham & cheese hot pockets (for whatever reason cuz I haven't had them in God knows how long) but they're so unhealthy and I'm too sore to go to the grocery store just for that.
Lol stupid Monday moan level: very pregnant
  • No sleep...the usual. My eyes are so heavy and my head hurts and even if I didn't have a caffeine limit due to pregnancy, I still wouldn't be able to consume enough caffeine to function. Heyyyyy, Monday!  (:|

  • I'm currently at my non stress test, waiting for my fluid to be checked and LO is so not happy. I'm guessing that he/she didn't like it and now is beating me up for it.... Lol my moan, I have to still go back to work after this, and I so don't want to... I have all this pressure and my ass hurts lol.
  • I'm so tired of having swollen feet/ankles. Seems like no matter what I do, by mid-afternoon my feet are so puffy I can barely fit into my shoes. Screw being pregnant in August. :(
  • Getting the glucose test done.
    Need food. :-S
  • I really wish I would've taken a sick day, today. I feel spacey and my pelvis hurts :(

It's still August, I still live in VA, and I'm still pregnant. So between the heat and humidity (which returned with avengence after giving us a slight break last week) and my newly achy hips, I'm uncomfortable.

Also, I now have to see my OB weekly because I have GD and history of pre-e. It's a bit of a PITA because this means getting up to drive DH to work, then getting myself and DS to the doctor and back, making sure to check my blood sugar and get a decent breakfast in between.

And I've only got 5-6 weeks (or less if I get pre-e) to get everything in order for baby. Which is plenty of time, but try telling that to my brain.

On the bright side, I don't have to go on insulin (yet, hopefully at all), just glybyride at bedtime. And I'm down 1-2 lb since last week (which is good because I'm 5'2" and currently 209, up 20 lbs from pre-pregnancy . . . ). So cutting all the junky carbs out of my diet is paying off.

  • The baby failed his NST for the 2nd Monday in a row. He was moving again but just not reactive. I didn't sleep well again and I'm in a nasty mood. I found a crack in my windshield and am going to do a 24 hr urine for a preenclampsia screen due to dizziness. I am ready to be done.

Second Moan- all I want to eat is banana bread or pizza and I don't have either of those things.

    Dear god, woman, banana bread!!
  • All I want to do is go swimming because it's my day off but DH wants to be in the house cleaning and making art. I'm down with the art but summer IS almost over. I need to take advantage of all pool days we have here in New England.

I also now want banana bread and a millshake.

And bills, DH just got in a fender bender the other day adding an extra expense of $2000+ for repairs . I can't even afford to go grocery shopping right now, I'm just making ends meet.

    Is it the weekend yet?
  • I took a personal day, my last one before baby is born and my boss is already texting me things about work. Ugh!! She needs friends and family because she works 24/7 (she was on vacation last week but still stalked me with work) and acts like I'm wrong for not doing so as well.
  • I have a mouse in our garage that doesn't want to leave...he's been there since Friday. Thank goodness, it's not in the house! The garage is attached to the house but it's on a concrete slab, so there's no entry point for it to get into the house unless we leave the door open. I'm thinking it must've snuck in when we drove the car out. From the amount of poop I found I'd say it's one bugger. He attacked my emergency kit food and water and chewed through a couple of backpacks to get at it...ggrrrr.... We've tried removing all the food sources and even leaving an exit point (side door) open for the mouse to skidaddle but it's still hanging around! DH says that if he's not gone by today, he's setting traps :( I really wish the mouse would leave because I don't want to harm/kill an animal.

Oh my god. Yes. I'm seriously going to run to the store and get the stuff to make banana bread right now.

  • My Monday Moan is that I have to pick up my bridesmaid's dress from the alterations department at David's Bridal. It fit perfectly when it came in, I just hope it still fits... Maybe I shouldn't get the stuff for banana bread after all. :( lol

Good luck! I agree with you on not harming however, there is a chance you can get sick which would be awful so you do need to take care of it soon!

Also mice use scent trails, once they establish a center they just keep rocking their ways back to it, especially if they have found good there. So bad news if it leaves on its own it may just keep working itself back in!

  • my monday moan is just that i feel crazy today! i snapped at someone at work which i NEVER do. i just have no patience and feel like i could fly off the handle at any moment!
  • This is completely my fault, but I ate ice cream after dinner last night so I was up with acid reflux several times in the night.

Also, DH's alarm started going off about a half hour before mine was set this morning... but he just kept hitting the snooze.  Of course I was wide awake so I finally just got up.  I wanted to rip his head off!

  • I'm flying home from my baby shower this past weekend and I can barely buckle the seatbelt on the plane and can no longer put the tray table down. Talk about ways to make me feel extra fat...
  • My moan is that I found lice in my DD's hair. She had it back in June and it was all taken care of (I checked regularly and took her to a specialist) then she gets together ONE time with a friend from school and gets it again. A few days after they were together her mom called to say the girl had lice. Come to find out the same girl had it back in June too. This is not something I want to deal with in 90 degree weather 33 weeks pregnant. I wish I could have a few drinks :(

I feel you! I just dealt with this last week with both of my daughters. One of them has really long hair and it took hours to get it out of hers. Then a few more hours with the little one because her hair is blonde and it is hard to see the nits! I have since been blow drying their hair every night and using a flat iron just to be sure they don't return (apparently the heat will keep them away). Ugh, so sorry, lice are the worst pests!!
  • Currently on my way home from PA to SC... 12 hours. Already stuck in Philly traffic! I can't complain though.. DH is driving the whole way non-stop (only for me to pee) My parents are following us making the big move to SC! So excited! Wish me luck making it in this crammed car! 10 hours to go!
