  • We recently moved and I spent half the day trying to find a notary republic. Of course all the banks require you to be a member and we haven't changed from our credit union in NC to one in OH yet. I lugged my 2.5 year old all over Columbus to come up empty handed. I finally found one at a UPS 30 minutes away. I will be heading there tomorrow. I seriously googled "how to become a notary" bc that's how annoyed I was!!

  • Hubby and I went to a friends for a bonfire Saturday night. I wore some shoes that are like flats but rugged so the tops are open. The tops of my feet are covered in mosquito bites. Ugh.
  • My two-year old has been acting up all day, and I think he's frustrated about the impending arrival of his little sister and doesn't know how to express it. He was good at my appointment this morning, but once we got home and I started getting out the baby's stuff to wash, all hell broke loose. He decided it would be fun to throw the massive piles of socks and mittens I have, along with clothes and blankets and his crayons, all over his room. And he refused to nap till I put him in the car to go pick up DH.

Seriously, kiddo, I get that you're two, but you know how to act much better than this.

  • I woke up at 3:37 this morning. For the day. I worked out, headed to school, coached all day, and then came home just in time for DD to wake up from her nap (grandma was here during the day) so mommy duty started immediately. I'm shot. I'm going to bed.

Hey, Tuesday, show Monday what's up.

Woke up with a bad migraine but decided to push through it and go to work, since I have a promotion interview tomorrow. Get myself ready for work and DS ready for school. Just to not be able to crank my car. DH works night shift and had just gone to bed two hours earlier, but I got him up to jump my car off. It took about 10 minutes but did start. We did the "kill it and try again" test and, of course, it didn't start again. I sat in my driveway and cried until my mom got there, sent DH back to bed because he had his big boss coming in from out of town. Mom and I got DS to school and found out my car just had a dead battery instead of a dead alternator. Thankfully.

Fast forward four hours - mom calls to tell me she got a flat on her way to get DS from school. I leave work (after coming in way late thanks to my own car issues) and get her, sit in the car line for DS and ran out of gas! Apparently my car has to have a code from the dealer any time the battery is replaced as a security precaution for all the gauges to work properly. FML. Thankfully, this kind guy across from the school put some of his lawnmower gas in my car so I could get to the gas station. I go to try to get mom's tire aired so she could get to the shop and it's not just flat - it's BLOWN. Roadside assistance was going to take over two hours. Now, DH has to head straight to mom's car after work to put her spare on.

That felt good to get it all out. At least my MFM said my LO is doing "perfect". :)

    EDIT: Words suck.
  • @ljburrelli if you have aaa they notarize at their offices. Just call before you go to make sure there's one working that day.

My moan: no nap from the two year old = no nap for a tired over heated mom. Good thing he's so cute.
  • Found out I made a mistake on a work project, and spent my entire lunch break crying about it. Oh work, oh hormones. Ready to be done with both.
  • @ljburrelli I have a fun recommendation for you. There is a part of Columbus called German Town, there is a bookstore that is made from a few row houses. From there ho to Schmidts and eat a creme puff and some sausage. I am from the Cincinnati and drive up just to do that. Also, COSI is a fun hands on science museum.
  • Slept like shit, woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a bus, hip killing me, etc etc.....BUT hauled my body out of bed determined to get a workout in before work. Got to the office (we have a small gym) and just as the elevator got to my floor, it stopped as usual, buuuuut the doors didn't open. Like, a full minute of intensely staring at the doors didn't make them open, and I finally realized they weren't going to. I talked to the emergency people and then made the tough decision....yoga or nap? You can guess which one I chose. Luckily I was only in there for 30 min or so, but at least I had duffel bag of clothes to use as a pillow. So that was weird.

Was slammed all day at the office, during which my husband decided to txt me to ask how I would feel about him going out of town for a week in Sept. It would be work related, but still, not cool at all and completely optional on his part. Did I mention the hip pain and that we have a 20 mo old? I've agreed to a quick 2 day trip, but blergity-blerg fuckthatshit.

    Bah-humbug.....c'mon 10.27.....
  • 2nd moan. EVERYTHING. HURTS. I am exhausted, my hips hurt, my shoulders hurt, my vaj hurts. My pain is heightened because of lack of sleep and I can't sleep because of the pain. I took a benedryl and wish I could take about 6 and knock my ass out for a few days.
  • This baby is pushing and moving so much its becoming painful. I have to stop and take a deep breath or twenty before I move again. I'm glad and so happy to feel movement, but it didn't hurt with my first DD, not that I remember anyway. This little one is feeling pretty big and a bit rambunctious!

I'm late, but I was too exhausted at the end of the day yesterday to post. I over did it a little at work yesterday. I had a ton of books to move to my classroom from storage. I had help, but I carried three or four stacks. Spent the next hour feeling dizzy. I don't like that I can't do anything without feeling so tired. I also unloaded my cabinet because it was someone else's room last year and I had to get my books put away. I was so sore by the end of the night.

To top off a tiring day, I met up with one of my friends and we did a little light shopping and I found a really cute dress that I thought would be good for maternity pics. It made me look like a blimp. So now I hate skinny women because I'm all fat and unsightly. Boooooo!

ETA: Baby has also found his way to a nerve that he likes to sit on. Between that and being sore from yesterday, I'm probably going to be walking like Igor today.
  • I'm posting my Monday Moan now because yesterday was so crazy and exhausting!

Started feeling like I'm getting sick yesterday and woke up at 3am this morning with a very sore throat, barely able to swallow!!! Someone at work on Sunday was coughing like crazy...it's all his fault!

Also, ended up staying at work over an hour late to finish charting because I got a very sick patient from the ED and they don't know how to do their job!!!! Just glad I had awesome coworkers there to help.
  • My Monday moan is thay they don't have as much Monday Moans as they use to and I don't have much of anything to read. These went down as well as the number of comments on WTF Wednesday, UO Thursday and FFFC. Secondly, I miss Brooklyn too.
  • @ShayGenevieve There isn't as many moans, WTFs, UOs and confessions because most have been said already and don't want to repeat the same thing every week.  I agree, they were more interesting a few weeks/months ago when it was a little newer to us, but they are still fun to read and there are some good ones here and there!

I think the WTFs are my favorite!!  Some of the things that happen to people or things that people say to pregnant women are so ridiculous and entertaining at the same time! :)
