How low is your baby sitting?

My lil man likes to keep his feet really low in my uterus. He, literally, kicks my cervix several times a day. Its a very awkward feeling. Also, I have a C section scar low down (from my 1st son) from 11 years ago and every time he hits it, it hurts for a brief moment. (Yep, this is only my 2nd pregnancy...big age gap but we feel that's good bc he's gonna be our little helper..such a great big brother already) Our lil munchkin is very rambunctious (even the nurse said so the other day when he kicked the heart monitor thing about 4 times in a row. But, yea, anyone else having these low down kicks or c section pain when the baby hits it?

  • My baby kicks me everywhere. She's a floating bean.

  • My Oliver is kicking pretty low, and more frequently than I thought he would at 26 weeks. I'm carrying mid-belly though. It's like someone shoved a soccer ball up there!
  • My lil man has had his legs low lately but his head is mid belly, closer to my ribs. He moves all over but, that has been his favorite place lately.
  • I'm still feeling the vast majority of movement down low and my bump is definitely low too. I'm thankful that so far my ribs have been spared...but I can't say the same for my poor bladder which feels like it gets stepped on multiple times a day.
  • I carry down low too and baby girl loves to run against a scar I have from a surgery that is similar to c section only involved my bladder. It is quite painful I talked to my doctor about it and she said until baby girl decides to move up nothing to do but take a Tylenol. I have found that if I stand up she stops doing it.
  • I feel you @Barker2+1, my little lady sits low down and seems like she loves using my bladder as a punching bag, which would be one thing on it's own, but I've had bladder problems for years now and it's been making me so miserable this whole pregnancy! Only 105 days to go!
  • Mine seems to spend all its time down low,
Mostly on the left side. Current favorite pastime seems to be waiting until my bladder is full and then playing kickball. Baby was kicking my cervix earlier and DH was like "can I feel the kicks?" Um no, not unless you stick your hand in my vag!
  • My little lady sits low and on my right side. I've only had a few taps above my belly button. Gotta love those vagina kicks.
  • My little lady was pretty high and kicking in my ribs until Saturday..since then I've had some pretty extreme back and pelvic pain with her feet sitting around my belly button and hiccups far far down. I feel like she's going to fall out...and my belly is noticeably lower/looks smaller...don't know if she's gunna hold on in there for another 12 weeks!
  • My baby insists on cervix kicks several times a day. Yesterday he spent about five minutes nonstop, and I had to get up and try to wiggle him to another spot lol. I'm 25w and this has been the most active week for him yet!

  • How can you tell where they are lol? I feel kicks or pinches a over mostly in the upper right to the right side of belly button
  • I'm carrying crazy low. I barely look pregnant at 25 weeks and have not felt anything higher than my bellybutton. I guess my ribs have been spared, though!
  • My little one is still all over.  I'm feeling punches (or kicks) at belly button height on my left and right. Sometimes I'll feel a spinning sensation and pressure right in the rib cage.  She's using the space she has to play right now.  We'll see how she settles as space gets tighter in the next few weeks.

  • My little man doesn't kick low as many of you say but he lays very low all the time. The pressure sucks. I have to try and move him every time

Mine is down low frequently, I get a lot of pressure in my low pelvis/bladder area. I can sometimes poke/jiggle and make the baby move to relieve the pressure. During my anatomy scan, baby's head was on my cervix (I'd been feeling pressure for a few weeks), and now I get a lot of kicks down near my bladder and hips. If you re not getting that kind of pressure, be thankful! It feels super weird, especially the cervix kicks. I haven't had any kicks at or above belly button level.
  • So if I am getting kicks in belly button does that mean he is head down and feet are up by belly? I so confused lol. Thanks for replying!
  • Almost all of the movement I feel is up high, around or above my belly button.

Could be one of several positions, probably. Babies contort all different ways. I just know mine is low because I can feel a lot of pressure down low from baby pressing against my pelvis. I can't tell if it's a head or a butt or the whole body I'm feeling, though. At 26 weeks, baby is around 14 inches long, so is probably not fully stretched out in there.

You've got time until you need to worry about head down position, it won't be important until you get much closer to delivering.
  • I feel like my child is trying to get a good look at my lungs tonight. Holy cow, rib pain like crazy.

  • It's nice to know I'm not alone when it comes to the lil man kicking my cervix or c section scar lol. This is my first pregnancy in 11 years and with him.I had no symptoms and he never went very low. So, a lot of this is new to me lol

I'm a FTM, my lil pumpkin kicks all over. Depends on the day and position, but when I'm sitting upright my stomach gets a lil hard on one side, don't know if it's the head or butt. :)) and I'm always getting funny tugs on the inside, otherwise my entire insides are her playground
  • I'm not sure which is better or worse, but as grateful as I am to feel it wiggling around, my ribs getting scooted into constantly is starting to get uncomfortable.
  • Almost all of the movement I feel is up high, around or above my belly button.

Same! My baby is often laying horizontally at belly button level and sometimes he is a little more diagonal with his feet up high and head low so I feel kicks near my right rib cage. Sometimes I feel his foot dragging around up there... That feels weird. I do get the occasional bladder punch when he decides to be diagonal/head down feet up.
  • Mine kicked me in the crotch and bladder the whole way home from my training class. In rush hour traffic. It was not a happy feeling.
  • This little guy has basically moved his things into and around my bladder. I have had my doc test for 3 UTIs already because I have the constant urge to pee. No UTIs just a super low kiddo.
  • At 27 weeks all movements up until now has been below the belly button. Random kicks are moving upward now
  • How does everyone know/ tell where their little munchkins are sitting? I literally feel like I'm getting kicked punched and head butted everywhere. Although sometimes it seems as if it's more centralized to around my belly button... Maybe?

  • I do get movement around my belly button sometimes, but most of it is really low around my pelvis and I feel a lot of pressure in that area when I'm on my feet.
  • She's been a low rider. I feel her heavy pressure as she sinks lows onto my bladder, but mostly she just chills and kicks my cervix. Awesome.
Baby number 1 on the way!

  • He is low, I get kicks to the bladder all the time. Not sure if baby is growing in my uterus or bladder...

Some babies have favorite spots, some are all over the place. Mine likes a couple places. One is the head tucked into ribs position which is pretty uncomfortable. Another is transverse so she's kicking and punching around my belly button. When she's laying low I say she's pulling a Nemo - Swim Down. And to be honest I'm just making semi educated guesses about this. I could be completely wrong.

  • I have most kicks in the left side right under my ribs. They used to be horizontal across my belly button. He is high up for sure.
  • Usually he hangs out right in the middle - no really high or low kicks (occasional bladder or rib pokes but not a ton... And no lightning crotch yet)... Yesterday he was SUPER high - right under my boobs was rock hard. It was really weird. He moved back down a bit this morning.
  • As low as she can get!! Every once in awhile I feel her a little higher up but 99% of the time she is nested down very low to the point I feel like I could burst at any time.
  • Today I had another anatomy scan (he wasn't very cooperative last time) and he had his head down by my cervix and his feet up today so, i havent been kicked in the cervix a lot for once in the last few das haha.. bUT he is very active :D... also, he's about 2lbs 1oz :D
  • I had to get my cervix check due to tons of pressure and her little butt was sitting on it. Lol. All the kicks I feel are in the pelvic area.
  • I was hoping for my baby to turn and start facing head down soon since he keeps facing the wrong way at scans but HOLY HELL im pretty sure he finally did the spin and he's been kicking my lunch!!
  • Baby girl has been head down low on my left side. Past 2 Sonos have been difficult. This past wkend at the 26 week sono her head was so low we couldn't get a profile image! Only saw her for a few sec! My stubborn baby girl not liking pix already ! Lol
