I am 5 weeks 2 days, but I ovulated later than usual so not sure what that means. Went in today for my first confirmation appointment and she showed us the yolk sac! Going back in 3 weeks to get an EDD. My doctor said she likes to do ultrasounds at every appointment- is that unusual? I love checking in, but I wonder if there could be any adverse effects? Maybe I should just be happy I get to see the little bean! So exciting!
Aww my medical office has me going at week 10 for first ultrasound - they said that anything before 8 weeks is just too early?
That's not abnormal. Most doctors will do a first US between 8-10 weeks, sometimes even 12 weeks. My doctor doesn't do them until 10 weeks either so my first appointment isn't until 9/22. I was bummed at first but I think it's kinda cool that when I do finally get it I will see something actually resembling a baby. So that's exciting!
I am so jealous of everyone that gets the early ultrasounds! I more than likely won't get to see LO until around Thanksgiving as my doctor's office only does an ultrasound for the anatomy scan.
I'm jealous of everyone who saw a heartbeat already!
I got one on Sunday due to a low grade fever, and all they saw was the gestational sac. They said it was too early. Praying everything is okay when I got back 8/27!!!

Mine was super early! My OB office went off of my LMP (of course), but I have 41-45 day cycles so it was completely inaccurate for someone like me to use their estimates. They usually conduct ultrasounds around 8-10 weeks otherwise.
Love seeing these!!! We will go first week of sept (my hubby is out of town the last two weeks of august but that's ok.) we are already planning on announcing to our families when we go to a baseball game all together (his side and mine) back home end of sept right at 12 weeks!!!!
5 weeks and 6 days and heard the beautiful heartbeat! This was after some spotting last week (and continued light spotting this week). Doctor said all is well!
Hey! For those that got ultrasounds already what did they measure your baby's heart rate at? I went yesterday and measured 6 weeks and 2 days and they said it was low and want to see me back in 2 weeks! So now I'm worried

@aturpin13 oh my! I am in the same boat! Went today *6 weeks 6 days* and they said the same thing. They were super positive about everything but then we're like.... well come back in 2 weeks because the heart rate needs to come up. Fingers crossed for you! Keep me posted! I'm going back the 27th
@bboroski my husband did some research and it seems common in early pregnancy but it's our first so we have no clue! I go back on the 25th, I'll let you know what happens! My prayers go out to you I have a feeling it will be a long 2 weeks for us!
It's super exciting to hear about everyone's ultrasounds, my first will be in 1 week, 8/20... Can't wait! We will be 7 weeks along, I see the doc 9/17 and she does a Doppler then, no idea how any of this goes, it's our first... And maybe 2nd, twins run in the family, should know more in a week.
I was surprised to hear at 5 weeks there is already a heartbeat! I am super hopeful I get to hear mine next Friday as I'll be 5W6D.
I had a miscarriage in June at 5 weeks, the first scan I had was early in week 5 and all we saw was a yolk sac and fetal pole, then I miscarried.
I wasn't going to have my husband come to the first scan because I figured it would just be a little blob but now that I see you are hearing heartbeats in week 5/6, I am making him come!!
Ultrasound from Wednesday- thought I was 6 w 4 d... Baby measure 6 w 2 d- so perfect! HB was 168! This was after on and off spotting (brown and red) for a week... They said all looks great!

Hi mommas!! I had another US yesterday to confirm viability and to see if subchorionic hematoma had resolved. I finally was able to hear the best news one could ask for in early pregnancy and after two MC's in less than a year. The baby has more than doubled in size... FHR is 124 BPM... And I guess my trip to the beach and getting some much needed rest (Well, pelvic rest ;-) ) my subchorionic hematoma (SCH) has resolved. I am blessed beyond measure and pray all of us have a turn at this wonderful experience. Always remember to say when in doubt: TODAY I AM PREGNANT!!
I had an ultrasound yesterday and all she could see is thickened lining and a collection of fluid that *could be* the sac. According to LMP I was 5w4d but according to o date I was 5w1d so she said that I could just be too early. I'm thinking it could go either way since I was bleeding a bit and my betas were a bit on the low side. I have to go back in ten more days.
@aturpin13 I had my ultrasound yesterday. The FHR was 124 Beats Per Minute. My ultrasound tech told me anything between 120-160 BPM is great if the baby is measuring in the 6th week/7th week range... But, bc I am such a worry wart I asked the doctor to he said the SAME THING. The heart rate usually starts to best 2-3 more BPM each day. Friday August 7 it was 94 and one week later it was 124 at 6 weeks 4 days. Hope this helps. Try not worry to much ( maybe I need to take my own advice!) take care! :-)
We went in today at what we expected to be our 6w5d and measurements show us at exactly that. 122 bpm for our little nugget. So excited! We go back in 2 weeks for our first appointment with our OB and to see our little bean again.
We had our first ultrasound today! Blob on the left is the yolk sack and blob on the right is the baby! 6 weeks 5 days along apparently which is two days more than I thought, but that's all the technician would tell us. Hearing the heartbeat was so exciting!
