Clark? Other names ideas?

I typically do not like surnames as first names, but I have been liking the name Clark. Just not sure if it screams surname too much to use. What are your thoughts on the name?
Any other name ideas? We just cannot think of many boy names we like. Our daughter's name is Norah. My husband and I both love the name Samuel (Sam), but it does not go with our last name. We also like the name Lucas, but would like to stay away from names that are too popular because even though we love the name Norah, we have encountered so many since she was born!

Clark is nms. I don't think there is anything special about it.

I do love Samuel and think a name like that goes better with Norah.

Someone I'm FB friends with from college just named their baby Clark. It's been two months and every time I see my college friends we talk about how terrible that name is. The other names you mentioned are very nice.

I met a dapper elderly gentleman named Clark Sailor once. I thought that was the best name. Clark also does remind me of Clark Griswold, but I love that character.

Honestly, I'm on the fence about it. I feel like it can go either way as a first name or surname. If you're unsure about it though, it's pbly best to go back to the drawing board.

Clark(e) is a very good name. There are a lot of ridiculous surname-y names out there and this isn't one of them.

I wouldn't personally pick Clark, but I think it's an ok name. I'm surprised everyone dislikes so much.

Especially the group of college friends that has repeatedly talked about how terrible it is? Really? Your friends must have great taste in baby names because I've heard so much worse!!
