We have a wedding to go to tomorrow, and my confession is that I'm more excited for my dresses from Rent the Runway to come today than for the wedding itself.
@dragonfly321 It's this fantastic website/app that has designer dresses for $50-60ish average for 3-4 days. Purses and accessories around $20 for the same time period. They send you them whatever day you start your reservation all cleaned and pressed, and you send them back a few days later without having to dry clean or anything. And they usually include a free 2nd size so you're pretty much guaranteed something will fit! Since I'm in my late 20s, legitimately every weekend is full of showers, weddings, etc, and I was sick of buying an outfit for each new occasion. And with social media, there's always pictures of events put up, so I can't stand recycling outfits. I've been using them all year and it's my new favorite thing!
I'm not saying this because I disagree with anything you said in particular, but WHY why why bring up politics on a board of Internet strangers? Last week you offended people with your discussion of religion. With this many people, I can pretty much guarantee we will have people who feel very strongly on both ends of the political spectrum. I just think religion and politics are topics best left out of this forum.
I guess my confession is that I have no interest in engaging in political debates on TB.
But my real confession is that I'm crabby today for no apparent reason. Probably going to get myself some chocolate because I deserve it, right?
2 reasons...
1. I rather air it out to internet strangers than people I know IRL -- I don't talk politics in real life for that same reason
2. People were complaining the boards were boring lol
Also, I wasn't dissing religion here-- just saying I wish it were kept separate. And the Trump thing was kind of a joke. I didn't think it'd be that polarizing and it doesn't look like it was. Especially since I said that I fall in the middle.

I washed one load of laundry this week three different times because I kept putting off folding the load was already in the dryer.
My load of dark clothes have been sitting in the dryer since last wed (like 10 days ago). I had to go in there for the past 3 days to get clean underwear, but still haven't folded anything. I figured once my husband runs out of boxers, he will fluff and fold them this weekend
I found a secluded area in the office just so that I could unbutton my pants during lunch. Been using the rubber band around the button, but it's not much help. Looks like I know what I'm doing this weekend...

I think the "new bump" has created this boring, drive by, no real interaction forum. By banning people for "not being welcoming" and basically whatever they don't like, it leaves us little to talk about. It also gives power to easily offended people who report that their feelings were hurt if they don't get the responses they want.
And I'm glad that some of you are starting to agree that the repeat posts are annoying, because they are.

Pretty sure I'm going to start a fire one of these days with how many loads I put in the dryer at one time because I'm too lazy to fold...
Some weeks I am so on top of it and knock it out easily. Then others I'd rather do anything else than fold and put away clothes.
In our new house our master closet is huge and we still have quite a bit of space to put stuff. Maybe I should go buy a ton more hangers and just hang EVERYTHING up. I'd be more willing to do that than fold. Lol

my ffc is that I don't think that god belongs in any political debate. I lean right fiscally but the social stuff kills it for me with them. It seriously makes me want to throw up when I hear their southern drawls talking about scripture. Save that for sunday- it doesn't belong in a debate or in politics in general...
I kind of like Chris Christie because he leans right fiscally but more left socially but I kind of really hope Trump is on the ballot because it'd be really friggen entertaining. Either that, or he runs independently and screws it over for the rest of the republican party.
On a related note, I can't wait for SNL this year. With so many people running, and so many gafs already, SNL is bound to be hilarious.

I think for a lot of people it's hard to separate their faith from their political leanings. For those who it's important to, it influences everything you believe. I don't think there's anything wrong with discussing it or talking about why it influences you, but yes, separation of church and state should still be maintained when actual laws or policies are being created.
For example, I'm a Christian but I am pro-choice because I recognize that I have no right to tell women what to do with their bodies, no matter how I feel about abortion personally. I don't happen to believe that homosexuality is a sin, but I know many people that do and they recognize that their personal beliefs shouldn't infringe on the rest of the country's civil liberties.
Also apparently this is a UO but I effing love talking politics, in any forum (except maybe in church, because I'm super liberal for a Christian). It's something I'm really passionate about it and I love discussing ideas and debating. I'm sure friends have hidden me on FB because I discuss my political beliefs on there a lot. My old BMB had a weekly political discussion and it was awesome. I'll talk current events and the presidential election and politics with people here anytime!
I just took a 2 hour nap with ds. Omg, I feel amazing! Now I'm driving 30 minutes to meet dh after work to eat at texadelphia, which I have been craving for weeks but didn't want to drive that far too.

^^^itll be a cold day in hell my husband decides to fold some laundry lol. The best I can hope for is in a fit of angry cleaning he will throw a load in the wash. That only happens if he runs out of boxers lol.
My confession is as much as I want to be more active on here, I just get exhausted by all the butthurt. All the most interesting people keep getting booted. How about we all put on our big girl panties and stop getting all butthurt because someone is a little more blunt than you prefer. Okay, that's mine.

It took years of training. I started with not folding his shirts the way he likes them (he does the two arms in store fold so that he can see the front of the tshirt - I fold mine in half width-wise and then half in length). Eventually, he learned that if he insists on having his shirts folder in a particular way, then he needs to do them himself.
I also did this with dishwashers. I load them however I think they will fit. He has a way he wants them loaded (he thinks it maximizes the cleanliness). now he loads the dishes! (I unload them).

I'm so tired of weddings and showers and parties but RTR never disappoints! Lol
@Monkeybutt80 DH is also crazy about the way I fold things and load the dishwasher! What a weirdo. I'm like as long as it fits and gets clean, who cares if the juice glasses or water glasses are on the outside?

My H seriously know NOTHING about house work. If you want him to rewire a lamp, put in recessed lighting, or build you a deck he is your man, but housework goes right over his head.
He once mopped the floor with toilet bowl cleaner......
His cooking skills include Ramen noodles, boxed mac and cheese, and microwaving Spaghetti-O's (nothing else, seriously, not even if you coach him through it)
His idea of folding laundry is balling up items and throwing them in whatever drawer they belong in.
The only thing household wise he freaks out about is the trash cans. Heaven forbid there be one piece of trash in the bedroom or bathroom trashes, he will Hulk out!
I used to be super independent but 3 years ago when H went back to school I put him in charge of paying all bills/budgeting etc so he would take some ownership of my income that was supporting us. Well he finished school and now Iif anything happened to him I would be financially lost. I have no idea where to mail the rent check or when the cable bill is due. Nothing.
Oh my gosh, can your husband teach my husband a thing or two? I do all the bill pay, check book, finance crap in our house. It started that way 11 years ago and I have tried splitting up our finances and we just cant do it (Im a control freak and he just doesnt pay enough attention) I have been known to have wished I married a banker. However, he makes up for his lack of finance abilities so we are all good.
I washed one load of laundry this week three different times because I kept putting off folding the load was already in the dryer.
I totally did the same thing this week! I have no energy to clean, do dishes, laundry etc.
My FFC is towards myself. I cannot seem to get my emotions in checks. I'm continuously grumpy and on edge. People at work and my SO are driving me up the wall. I almost can't deal with myself. And I'm a typically happy, upbeat, easygoing person... Ugh!
So the drive ended up taking an hour due to road construction.... And texadelphia is gone. I'm crushed, ad have no idea how to get rid of this craving now. Pregnancy sucks.
I have not done laundry all week and we are running out of clean clothes. Part of me really hoped that DH would do some of it since I have been gone from 7am to 3pm the last couple days, but he has used that time to play video games instead. Guess that's what I'm doing this weekend.

I'm going to a wedding this weekend and I wish I was excited about my outfit. I had a freak out that all my dresses showed off my bloat. Borrowed some options from a friend but it was tough times. I can't wait to have an actual bump so I don't just feel flabby
Life would be much easier if my toddler could sit in the car while I had to run into the store for a single item. Don't worry, I would never EVER do that. Not only for fear of overheating, but also for fear of someone taking him. And all the general safety concerns. But it would make life easier. Wouldn't it be lovely if stores had car sitting services? Haha. It's been a long day of errands and this mom has a very sore back from getting my guy in and out of the car.
Also, finding a reliable sitter might be harder than pregnancy and birth! Slight exaggeration, but I really have a difficult time with it!
This may be more of an UO, but...I like baby shower games. Give me a plate full of food and a baby word-search and I will happily stuff my face and partake in a little friendly competition/distraction from gift-opening.

Me too! Maybe because I'm really good at them. Especially word games like unscrambling words, how many words can you make out of the baby's name, crosswords, that kind of thing. The prizes are almost always disappointing but I'm really competitive so I don't even care! I just have to win!

I HATE that feeling; this not quite a bump yet stage is making me miserable trying clothes on for the most part! I'm pretty sure I don't look nearly as bad as it seems to me (I hope not at least!) I went with ruching on both my options for this wedding to help with that- just an idea if you have time to look for anything. I'm sure you look fabulous anyway, and you're the only one focusing on the bloat!

I'm the worst cleaner ever. H is getting super super busy at work so he hasn't been keeping up on his chores, and I've been so tired that I've been doing a terrible job, so today I bribed my mom with lunch and she came over and helped me clean for like five hours. She's awesome. And it looks so much better in here!

I'm having the same problem! And being a sahm, it definitely reflects poorly on me... but just chasing ds around is exhausting. I want to nap when he does. I think I'm going to just get up an hour before him and rush around to clean a bit everyday... I wish my mom lived close enough to come help! I would definitely bribe with food, baby time, whatever!
Double post, sorry. I just realized I forgot to weigh in on our board being boring.
I was thinking about this yesterday because our UO was like 2 pages long, if you look at other BMBs they can go on and on and get into really interesting discussions and debates. It frustrates me to no end that we have this random gang of WKs and sensitive people who lecture anyone who dares to disagree or GIF or get even a tiny bit snarky. TB used to be so awesome because the TOU were more vague and they didn't ban for stupid reasons like they do now. And since we've had a reg get banned for nothing, no one wants to be the next on the chopping block so we all keep our mouths shut. It makes for a very boring, AW-ish place. Because if you don't throw glitter on everyone's posts, you're a "bully." Ugh.
