Gender Disappointment (for those who care) RANT

just wanted to get off my chest that gender is 1 small important thing to me along with my child's health(#1 concern) future,etc. but I've notice on these threads women ATTACKING mothers for wanting to simply know their child's sex! Seriously? I'm not sorry for wanting to know everything about my unborn including the sex! These who (who usually have multiple children) will bash other moms (sometimes FTM) because of it & it's sickening. Let people be happy! It's not YOUR child anyway why do you have to force your opinions on others? I am fully aware that health is mostly important but sheesh if you hate my excitement so much get off my post.

You could have at least been a little more honest about what you posted. Did you really expect a prayer circle, a musical scene, and singing disney animals with a title like "crap! it's a boy?!?"?

Eta: you were also super nasty when not everyone was rude to you. playing the victim isn't cute. don't post on forums if you don't want people's genuine responses.

I want to just say that I read the original post you're referring to.
If you would have searched, you would have known how gender disappointment is generally taken on TB, especially with an "Oh Crap." beginning. Sarcastic or not, it came off extremely flippant. Had you been a little softer with your post, a little more thoughtful and a little kinder with your tone, it might have been received better.

However, THIS post is just AW-ish. You post for opinions, not butterflies and rainbows of agreement, or in this case, sympathy.

Edited to add this thought: If you have no sympathy for someone losing their child, then you are not a decent human being. Losing a child breaks a heart forever. No retort on a public, online forum makes a loss like that unworthy of sympathy. Get over yourself.

Right?! I was confused about that as well. I'm a FTM so...

And nobody said we were upset about anyone wanting to find out the sex of their baby we said maybe posting about sex disappointment wasn't appropriate on a forum such as TB. This whole post makes absolutely zero sense which is exactly why I call AW-ish MUD.
