Re: Boy or umbilical cord???

  • It's a boy. I googled it. Google is always right.

  • @JenScheil So you think BFing in public is creepy? Why? First of all it's MY breasts not my child's genitalia. Two completely different things.

But why on earth would you or anyone find a child eating creepy???

Oops my post cut off. Personally I do not support breastfeeding in public, neither does my husband. Especially not without a cover. I have left restaurants if a woman feels the need to whip it out, today you can plan to avoid that. By they way, there are also websites dedicated to men who get off on watching women breast feed, so yea I think that's creepier than a woman posting a sonogram picture on a pregnancy website asking for pregnant women's opinions. That's what this website is here for. Support, not judgement or attitude. While I don't support BF in public, I would never make some one pay for doing it, I quietly walk away.
  • I don't think breastfeeding in public is a bad thing. It's completely natural just like my unborn child's potential penis. Can I also remind everyone that we don't even know if that's what it actually is????? That's the whole reason for my post.
  • OP, I apologize for us jacking your thread.
I hope your doctor was able to call you yesterday or today to answer your questions and to hopefully let you know your lo is healthy and growing at the right rate.

I wonder if OP will be posting her newborn's penis here if it's so natural and normal.
I'd like to say please don't here and now.
  • It's JUST a penis just like it's JUST a boob. If someone has a fetish they can easily Google both of these things and find what there looking for. It's all part of the human anatomy which is natural women were built to provide milk to there beautiful growing babies just like men were built to have penises to reproduce and pee (obviously). I guess I'm not seeing the difference very well....sorry everyone I'm trying.

My post definitely got hijacked though.
  • Lol @taysun I definitely will since you gave me such a great idea!!

@ACarter0914 I completely understand where you're coming from being that the same tech misidentified your friends LO so therefore you have every reason to be skeptical.. Professional or not we're all humans and all humans make mistakes. But I hope that everything's good with your LO. Best wishes!
  • I'm actually having this problem except I was a first told boy however today was told it's a girl? Different techs and now I'm emotionally torn because I was hoping for a boy!!
The lady today at the doctors office rushed thru the entire thing she was 30 min behind and showed us the baby for a total of maybe 3-4 minutes she was like the legs are all tucked down into your pelvis but do you wanna know what it is...a girl well at least it looks like that to me....but u can never be 100% sure until they come out?!?!?
Anyone who can help me I would love the input. I think I'm staying team but we might do an elective ultrasound just to double check where they aren't rushing through the whole thing!
1st pic the legs were opened wide
3rd pic the view is from the side
2nd is where the lady said it's a girl
  • I can't even tell what I'm looking at.

  • there's my boy
  • I'm not sure which is more inept... the argument against breastfeeding, as it is natural and how women nourished their children for entire civilizations and generations. Or the whole posting the sonogram to a board of strangers, often not medical professionals, and asking them what it is...

I mean do whatever floats your boat. Just can you guys limit it to 1 thread please. Ppl keep posting stuff like this, and although it's important to them, it clutter the board from other stuff we can talk about. Or it prevents us from seeing more important questions on the board, about procedures or something like that. But that's MY thought on all of this.

its really hard to tell with yours )= I found out yesterday that Im having a boy, and as you can see from the ultrasound picture (attached), it's alot like the original picture posted, just alot smaller due to no umbilical cord showing, just all turtle. Your pictures are a little blurry, as if baby wouldnt sit still, ours wouldnt for the doppler either. Hopefully when you go for an elective they'll be able to catch baby still long enough to confirm either way.
