I swapped clothes with a local momma - my baby boy clothes for her baby girl clothes. Problem is ALL- 95% - of the clothes she gave me are all worn out. Worst trade ever. I'm donating all but about 5%
My dad bought a box of buster bars on Monday and brought then to our house and then left them here. I may have eaten half the box myself this week..... if baby girl doesn't come soon I may just gain another 10lbs in the next two weeks waiting for her...
FFFC: I have no clue what a buster bar is....
It's one of those peanuts and fudge ice cream Popsicle things from Dairy Queen... Maybe that's a Canadian thing!

They have them in the states. Super good. They don't make them at individual DQ's though, so some people don't really know about them
Tragedy! They really are so good! Um I sound like I eat them all the time haha, actually this week was the first time in a year. I forgot how good they are! Hence half the box.....
@SashaDenn25 im glad im not the only one! DH has changed many a diaper for his nieces-nephew and just laughs when he thinks of how its the opposite of most guys/girls.
@louiseambrose i forgot about bathing..thats a definite first for me too!
I don't truly know if I'm having BH or real contractions. It's been 11yrs since I was in full blown labor. I keep having contractions when I sit, stand, and lay on my back, but the disappear when I lay on my side. As soon as I roll or get up, they start all over again. They've decided not to stop labor any more so I'm not supposed to go in unless they are regular...but they are regular until I lay on my side. Doc is no help...he says "you'll know". Ugh!!

They are from Dairy Queen. Basically DQ ice ream on a stick with a layer of chocolate and peanuts then dipped in chocolate. So good!
I think I need these in my life!! Only issue, no close by DQ's
@Miz_Liz That's sad. DQ is great. Everyone raves about the blizzards, but I prefer their other treats! When I worked there, I used to love making the dilly bars and ice cream sandwiches. It was fun, and the manager let me eat whatever ones I screwed up.

I think I would have one too many "oopses" if this was the case!
I secretly threw away most of my husbands ball caps today. He seriously wears two out of the thirty he owns. Funny thing is he actually found them in the trash and was not happy with me at all X_X
I called DH and asked him to stop by the store on the way home because we needed stuff for dinner and I forgot to go on my way home. Except I didn't forget, I was just too lazy....I went home and took a nap instead.

I've done this with DH's clothes multiple times. Not only is he a borderline clothes hoarder but he pulls everything out of his dresser and makes a mess of the clothes I recently folded at least three times a week. The trick to not getting caught is to just throw away a little each time
After reading the post about how long to wait to have sex I am thinking my poor dear husband got the short end of the stick. All of these ladies going for it after 6 weeks when their doctor cleared them... Not happening here. My DH is going to have to wait until I'm in the mood (and if I go by previous pregnancies that wil be anywhere from 3-6 months after baby gets here). And I don't feel the least bit guilty. This will be the third kid who will inevitably wreck my vagina. He can take care of business on his own for three months (or longer). Sorry, not sorry. Also, having sex two days after giving birth? Um. No. To quote the great Nancy Botwin "it would be like throwing a hot dog down a hallway..."
Last time I was pregnant we didn't have sex after about 24 weeks because it was super painful for me, and then at least 8 weeks post partum. So hubs and I went online and picked out a flesh light for him and we used it together so we had at least some intimacy. Maybe that could be useful for you?
I made homemade mac & Cheese for dinner yesterday. As I'm eating I'm thinking really hard as to why it's called that.. I mean I get the cheese part but why the mac. Then I'm like I'm dumb. Macaroni & Cheese. Macaroni noodles! Soooo obviously not pregnacy brain anymore. So I blame this is extremely dumb moment on hardly any sleep the last few days from being up with my precious baby girl. :-$
After they told us that baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead at our ultrasound DH is convinced this means baby will be here within 2 weeks from today. I started to try to explain about the measurements being estimates and don't change my due date...until I seen that it sent him into nesting mode and he started actually getting things done that I have been asking him to do for weeks. I'm just going to let him think what he wants if it gets things done lol
My give a damn is totally busted. I go to work and really I go through the motions of work but really I hate it right now. I'm over people touching my stomach, asking me to pull them up. Telling me how tired I must be. The list goes on. I fought getting pulled out of work so Much months ago and now I'm like hey can j have that option back please?
@Saratiff I find the later into the pregnancy I get this time, the more I don't give a damn too - and the more people piss me off. I went grocery shopping last night and came home and told my DH that and he just goes, "Uh oh, did you almost fight people again?" haha. I have just found that the more rude people get, the more my filter has come off my mouth (as long as DS is not with me).
I took my 6 day old baby to the beach today. We just sat under the umbrella in the shade for a couple hours, but still... I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't keep their newborns at home for the first 6 weeks.
I intentionally have a nap in the late afternoon so I don't have to make dinner. If I wake up too early I pretend to be sleeping until I know the window for actually cooking has passed.
I really dislike my in laws. I use every excuse to avoid them and I'm reluctant to let them do much with my kids when they ask, but I'll let them take them when it's convenient for me.
I have a couple FFFC.... first one is I'm half hoping this little guy decides to come at 37 or 38 weeks because I'm ready for my leave and to have my body back. Also my DD birthday is August 29 and I would like to be home and settled before then. My second one... my boyfriends mom lives with us and I swear the further I have gotten in my pregnancy the more she babies him. She washes his clothes calls him daddy or baby and says poor him cause he had a hard day at work even if he only worked a half day. It's really starting to annoy me and kind of creep me out. When she first moved in she mostly kept to herself in her room I guess after a year she's finally comfortable here? Lol
I showed up to work in my flip-flops this week. I always wear them around the house, and I completely forgot to change into my shoes! Thank goodness I didn't have any patients scheduled that day. Such a lucky coincidence!

I was throwing away DHs socks that had huge holes in them... He wasn't happy about that. I had to actually convince him to buy new socks! Oy. He also wasn't happy when I emptied his entire closet and his dresser and sorted through everything that he did and didn't wear. I wound up with a full trash bag to donate of things he had never worn the 2 years we'd been together.
My boyfriend is kind of a picky eater. Sometimes when I cook I don't tell him about certain ingredients I've added because I don't think he'd eat it if he knew.
Also, although I am not due until the 20th, I can't help but feel jealous of all these women in my area who are having their babies before me. I obviously want my daughter to come when she's ready and would never try to put myself in labor, but there's still a part of me that can't help but want her here asap, damnit!!
'Haha! I do the exact same thing to mine- he once saw that I had used whole wheat noodles and complained that he hates them (he'd been eating them for months and never noticed). So... I bought a box of Creamette pasta (he knows the green box) and once I used them, I kept the empty box. For several months, when I made pasta, I'd just put the empty box on the counter and he would think I used 'regular' pasta. Never mind that the shape was never the same! I also call zucchini bread "cinnamon bread" - he complained once when I accidentally called it zucchini bread and asked why I couldn't make the cinnamon bread instead. My mom thinks it's awful I do it.... but hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!
I think my MIL is a quack. I could never say this to my husband but every time she gives me advice it takes everything within me not to roll my eyes. My favorites are when she told me that all babies get diaper rash unless you use cloth diapers (untrue), that for two days prior to delivering I shouldn't eat because then I won't poop on the table (unless I'm being induced I have no idea when I'll be delivering and therefore cannot schedule this. Also starving myself for two days is extremely unhealthy to both me and the baby), and the latest one: The fact my breasts haven't leaked means I'm nowhere near labor. Um, that is not an indication of when my baby will come. Please be quiet now.
My SO is gone to pick up some things for me to cook him for breakfast. I'm really hoping there's a long line up at the store, I don't want to get out of bed & cook for him just yet!
@messymolly08 my mother is absolutely horrified that it's no longer standard to give women enemas the minute they hit L&D to avoid pooping on the table.

She tried to tell me that I have to have one done! I just wish she would back off and stop trying to incorrectly run my pregnancy!

I went yesterday.. And got a dipped cone.. Yummy!!
@messymolly08 your MIL would be baffled by my existence. My CD twins do get diaper rash occasionally and I never had any leakage before I had them and they went on to be exclusively breast fed. She's also the one with the weird hang ups about changing tables/pads right?
@Miz_Liz Totally!!! My road rage this morning was unreal. I can't deal with stupid anymore. It's like i literally hate everyone.
This^ x a million! I live in a super touristy beach area. I'm not sure I'll make it through tourist season this year. I've made up new curse words while yelling at drivers every day (you know, because they can totally hear me through my car windows). It's not that hard not to drive like an idiot. Stop signs and green lights mean the same @&$"ing thing here as they do where you live!!!! Ugh. I can feel my BP rising just thinking about it.
