Too early

I wake up too early to pee and can't get back to sleep im exhausted at the end of my night shift anyone else who is going thru this?

Re: Too early

  • I was just about to put this on the whining board.  I have slept terribly this week.  I went through this once back in 5-7 weeks but it is back now and I'm tired of being tired! I can handle getting up to pee but not the constant tossing and turning and being hot...I'm over it.

I had PSD w/ DD and could barely sleep but that was at like 30+weeks.  This is waaaay too soon, but thankfully no sign of PSD yet.

  • Are you ladies side sleepers? I am and always have to get up to pee. Last night I decided to try sleeping on my back to see if there was any difference and there was! I was actually able to get some sleep. I did way up a little early this morning out of discomfort and had to switch to my side. But yay for some sleep at least.
  • Yes! It's usually like 3:00 am and I just lay there like.......................................................

  • The combination of trying to get my twins to sleep, them waking up at opposite times in the middle of the night & getting up frequently to use the restroom is leaving me zombie like come 6am.

  • Me! I hate it, I wake up like twice at night and early in the morning. I am like a zombie until I get a nap in the afternoon.

  • Yup 7am every morning like clockwork.. Then I'm like okay, I'm awake...what now?!
  • Sometimes I wish I had a freaking bed pan!! LOL
  • Yes, sometime between 5 - 6, EVERY morning for the last week  - which would be great if I wasn't on Summer Break! My husband then gets up at 6am for work and I swear he literally stands outside our bedroom door and banging pots and pans so I stay awake.  He is SOOOO loud getting ready, or I'm easily annoyed by him right now…:-)
  • Right there with you! I was up every hour on the hour peeing last night. And then I just lay there around 3 - 4am. It's so annoying and I'm so exhausted during the day.

  • I don't mind it when I have to pee and my toddler isn't in my bed, I don't have too much trouble falling back asleep. But trying to sneak out with him in there is terrifying. I'm always so afraid he'll wake up, and he definitely won't go back to sleep at that time. I'm always lying there weighing how bad it would be to just pee my pants...

  • I'm on my first of 4 night shifts. Blurgh. My problem isn't peeing as much as its this central heater I have. I sleep in a cold basement and this little baby is cooking me from the inside! Add poor sleep to my already ridiculous level of fatigue and I am right there with you! Wondering how long I'll be able to keep up 12 hour night shifts!
  • I had one of those all of a sudden "eyes pop open and I am A W A K E" mornings this week.  I just suddenly woke up at like 5am, was alert as could be, was burning hot and thought, "Oh, great.  This only happens when I'm going to barf."  So I went to the freezer and got an ice pack and put it on my neck and just waited to get sick lol!  I never did.  It must have just been a hot flash.  Damn hormones!  Then DH's alarm went off for work and I went back into the bedroom and he was all "WTF why are you awake?" because I am NOT a morning person.
