Do you "know" what your having?

Re: Do you "know" what your having?

  • I hate that stupid Chinese gender chart.

First time around, I was pretty convinced that the baby was a boy. EVERYONE around me thought girl. I was right. This time, something in my gut says girl, but I think it's probably just wishful thinking. We'll know soon enough - and above all else, I just want a happy and healthy baby.

  • I don't have any feeling yet with this one, but with my DS and DD I "knew" what they were by a gut feeling.

  • I have been wrong 3 times so far; husband has been right three times so far. Chinese sex chart has been right 3 times so far. We stay team green - we have boy, girl, boy. My first two pregnancies were identical. The third was so different! This time, I am guessing girl, and husband guessed girl too, and the Chinese chart says girl, so maybe I'll get to be right this time LOL. I'm guessing girl, bc if there is anything to the science of the Shettles method (which we weren't using - it was just coincidental timing), this baby is old sperm haha!

  • I have 4 boys already and the Chinese Gender Chart has been right for each one. This time it says girl. I think I'll be in absolute shock if this one is a girl. I can't fathom the thought, but would definitely be excited! I've always felt we would eventually have a girl, so maybe this is it!

I have a feeling it's a girl and we have two boys already (just because everything about this pregnancy is a shocker).  I'd be happy with either - the idea of 3 boys is absolutely awesome and chances are my uterus is only blue - and it'd be kind of fun to piss everyone off that says "Oh it really needs to be a girl....girls are wonderful....I love girls...blah blah blah" - I hate those comments, especially given our history.  A HEALTHY baby is all I'm asking for, stop doing the gender preference comments!

I totally understand! I have 4 boys and all I've heard is I hope it's a girl - as if having a 5th boy would be a travesty. Geez, people.
  • I'm convinced it's a boy. I even call it boy even though I keep reminding myself it could be a girl. My mom, DH and MIL all think it's a boy too. Either way I'll be happy but I really think it's a boy.

  • I really wanted a baby girl, but for some reason I feel like I am having a boy.  I have no idea why, just a gut feeling.  We will see what happens. All I know is that I will love this lil one SO much either way. I am looking forward to meeting him/her in March!
  • We both think it's a girl. I don't know why but I keep picturing a girl. We're Team Green though so we'll find out in March!

  • I have absolutely no instinctive thoughts either way, but it's still really early I guess.

DH is willing this baby to be a boy. He (semi-jokingly) refuses to throw girl names back and forth "because it's a boy. There's no point wasting our time." I keep telling him that he better be more open to the idea of a girl or the karma gods are going to bless us with a girl for sure lol. He is one of 5 boys so I think the idea of a girl petrifies him!

Like most have said, a happy and healthy baby is all that I care about either way!

People just have zero filter. After the #2 all I heard was "well now you have one of each and you can be done!" Now with #4 everyone keeps telling me I "need another girl to even things out." People are rude.

I am feeling boy. I asked the hubby if he had a "gut feeling" about it yesterday and he said boy.  If so, this would be the first boy to carry on his family name for another generation.

  • I knew with both my children. It wasn't like a "I am so certain" it was just like when I thought of them it would instantly come to my mind "oh my son" and then I'd have to be like no you don't know yet stop saying that haha. With my first I wanted a boy so bad and I felt he was a boy but I didn't want to get my hopes up. Second I wanted a boy again but I knew she was a girl. Third I think a boy but I would be very happy with either and a girl would be so sweet because my daughter is only 9 months old. They would be very close sisters! But I'd love another little boy. Ideally I'd like b/g twins but... Hahahahaha that's wishful thinking
  • Dh and I both have a gut feeling it's a girl but who knows. Dh is 1 of 3 boys and our son is 1 of 3 grandsons for my ILS so ya...
  • When I was pregnant with the twins, I was so sure from day one that it was boy/girl. I even "knew" that Baby A was a boy and Baby B was a girl. Everyone else said it would be two girls, and I argued that I had the mama's instinct. And then it was two girls and I was shocked haha. Mom's intuition... not always accurate! hahaha

  • As weird as it is I knew both of mine would be boys I had dreams around 10 weeks with each and they were each toddler age and I knew in that moment what sex they were. So I'll wait and see if at 10 weeks if I have another dream with this one.

    Feeling like they're a boy... We'll see!
  • I was SURE #1 was going to be a boy...nope. This time around, I have NO idea, but everyone around me is convinced DH and I will have only girls.

I "feel" like we are having a boy but it could be wishful thinking, we have mainly boys in our extended family and only one granddaughter so far.. I'm really picky where clothes are concerned so no zoo animals, no dinosaurs and no figurines of any kind, however finding plain, gender neutral clothes here in the USA ( I'm not originally from here) seems to be a little difficult where I live - which is kinda ironic because utah is baby central !
  • I don't feel strongly one way or the other, but my mom says she thinks it's a girl, and the Chinese gender chart says it's a boy.

All I know is that one of them is right ;)

Another whose intuition said girl the first time and was really disappointed after the 20 week anatomy scan to see two balls and a penis.

Hoping for a girl but I have no intuition this time.

  • I am team green... my husband is dying to find out! I made a deal that if we kept the first preg a secret, we would find out with our second (god willing). Someone once told me "if God wanted you to know what it was... he would have made you a window". That kinda stuck with me. I'm stick'n with it even though I know its gonna kill us both not to know.

There are multiple versions of the Chinese gender chart floating around so you're bound to find one that was "right".

I was team green last time and everyone said I was obviously carrying a boy. I was internally certain (and hopeful) that it was a girl. And I was, so there, old wives tales! I have no clue with this pregnancy yet, but those strong feelings didn't come until much much later. Plus we'll find out this time, I owe my husband who humored me the first time around.

  • I am thinking boy because I'm really hoping for a girl...I feel like I will get the opposite of what I hope for...according to the Chinese Gender Chart, it's a girl...But I am happy with either...we are actually hoping for twins but we shall see as I don't have my first u/s until a week from today.

  • This is my third pregnancy and with the first two, I had no feeling either way. I didn't qualify for genetic testing when I lost the first two so I won't ever know if they were boys or girls. I am only 4w4d with this one and I'm super hopeful. I'll be happy with any healthy take home baby but I just feel like it's a boy this time which is weird because I never even made guesses with the other two.

DH says boy too. My sister had a dream that I was having a boy the day before I told her I was pregnant. Chinese calendar says boy too.

  • I already have 2 girls (13,7) and 1 boy(10), so I really don't care what I have. Everyone all around us and even my girls want a boy, so that our son will have a brother and not always be surround by girls (especially since my husband deploys often). I'm really feeling girl right now, maybe just because I already have a name. Like I said though I'd be happy with either.
