Has anyone else experience something similar?

I know this is long and a lot but idk what may be going on. So i tried to conceive with my bf before a year ago after a yr of trying I gave up. And now it's been maybe a month or 1 1/2 months. So I began my cycle on 7/2/15, about 3 or 4 days before I was supposed too and my cycle is relatively exact maybe a day off but very and extremely rarely is it ever more than that. Well the day before I had sex and I had light spotting which has never happened before and it quickly went away after an hour and then the next day I got it in the morning after waking up and starting my day. It only lasted 2 days and my period usually last 4-5 days and if I am lucky 3 but that's only happened like 2 or 3 times. On day 3 I had very mild spotting that came earlier in the day and left. Day 4 no spotting or bleeding and then on day 5 I had spotting. I gave no thought to it thinking maybe my body is just changing bc I started taking fertilaid in hopes of it working. On day 7 I had intercourse. On day 14 I took an at home pg test and that came out negative. And on day 15 which was just a day ago I had spotting again. That lasted roughly 2 or so hours and it was earlier in the day. I had sex later on that night and no spotting. I thought I would have had spotting.

So since I took a pg test and it was negative I think I can say I'm not pregnant or maybe I just need to wait. But I was wondering if anyone else has had something similar and may know if it is something to be concerned about. I've never spotted in between periods and I've never had a period so short and then come back. This is a brand new experience and I just wonder if it may be something serious or if I am just paranoid. I am in my early 20's and have no known health issues. I am overweight but have never had any trouble with my period. And my period is good compared to some women's periods. Lately I've had increased cramps and back pain and breast sensitivity over the last 6 months but I'm guessing it's bc I am getting older so it is changing but Idk if this is part of that. I find it strange.

Any help or advice?

But from what I CAN gather my advice is:

You're regular until your not.
You're not pregnant if you have a negative test.
Fertilaid or whatever you're taking is probably the cause of your spotting.

Your period will change. Fertile aid will change your period.
a negative test means you are not pregnant at that time.

Stop screwing with your hormones with fertile aid, and start charting. You would have known taking a pregnancy test at cd 14 is useless. You may not have even ovulated at that time.

Fertil aid and other herbals can screw up your cycle and cause the spotting. I would stop taking any supplements unless they are prescribed by a doctor.

TL;DR -- if the tests are negative then you are not pregnant at this time.

Spotting happens. It usually means nothing.

Your period came when it was supposed to. It was your period. It can be light and spotty and still be a period. If the test is bfn, then you are not pregnant at this time. Please get yourself a bbt to confirm O each cycle so you don't drive yourself crazy. Take it from someone who knows.

My advice would be to wait until he has put a wedding ring on your finger to try to get pregnant. I'm not judging. I just think that you need to look out for the best interest of yourself and your future kid.

A wedding doesn't make a relationship stable enough to have children and not being married doesn't make one unstable.

First off a ring won't make a bad relationship any better. i have worked with a women's shelter and married women are victims of abuse just as much as unmarried women. Also I know lots of loving and stable relationships with unmarried partners. So perhaps you should leave your assumptions at the door.

Personally, I agree with waiting till marriage but not for "moral" reasons, it just makes it easier insurance wise. My husband changed jobs and i'm getting on his insurance because who knows, maybe i'll be too sick to keep working or maybe he gets a huge raise and i get to be a stay at home bum i mean "mom" (lol, its a joke, i dont have anything against SAHMs). That's about it for my reasoning for it, unless you have a job you LOVE with kickass benefits (i have good benefits but hubs's are better). anyway, its just nice to have options but whatever.

I agree with the fertilaid thing - it has vitex in the mix and it made my cycle wonky. Also, spotting is nothing to be worried about. If you're really scared go to the Dr. but usually you an spot for a multitude of reasons. Please get a copy of TCOYF.

We've been lucky enough to live in states and/or work at jobs that recognize domestic partnerships (opposite sex or same sex). I was on my SO's insurance before, but now he's on mine because it's free (thanks labor unions!).

It's like the best part of my job!!! I've never had insurance anywhere close to free before. Free gets us the basic PPO coverage (and basic vision/dental) - we pay a separate rider for rx and hospital, but for both of us combined it's definitely less than $100/month. It's a bit hard to find providers that take our plan, but I managed to find an ob I like and we are VERY LUCKY. Now, if only the city and state would actually meet with our union reps so we could get a new contract (we've been out of contract and without raises for over 5 years).....

@letyourheartbeyourguide I am seriously having a melt down over here over the insurance things. I'm a teacher, and through our district, it would've cost us $1200/month to have insurance with the new laws. I want free insurance. 8->

And for the record, as a stay at home mom, I'm offended by that comment. If you had any ounce of respect for what sahm's do, you wouldn't think this joke is funny nor appropriate to post here. Just because we don't get a paycheck doesn't mean we don't work our asses off.

ETA: There's already enough guilt/mommy wars with SAHM vs Working Mom that being the butt of a joke isn't that funny.

Seriously? You are going to make a joke about Stay at Home Moms? You don't know why women choose to stay home. They could be taking care of profoundly disabled children. They could have illnesses themselves that prevent them from working. They could have been victims of workplace discrimination that lead them to not having a job after they had their child. They could simply believe that raising their children is the most important job they will ever have and they have chosen to focus on that first.

How dare you label a whole host of women bums because they do not work outside the home? The joke was not funny and further perpetuates negative stereotypes of women. Unimpressed.

I would have responded earlier to the stay at home bum except I spent the last few hours bumming it. You know, carting the kid to all her activities, getting her back to school hair cut, general house cleaning, load of laundry today, drop off some mail, grocery shopping, dinner prep, lunch for tomorrow prep, tend the garden, and managed to get a small workout in. Serious bumming dude.
