  • Thanks for ur advice
  • I am always very wary of "natural" labor inducement.  I have never personally heard of any of the suggested methods actually working.  Drinking castor oil also sounds disgusting.  Plus, agree with the others that it is still pretty early to want to induce labor.  Just suck it up a few more weeks....I think it is safe to say everyone is sick of pregnancy at this point.  Baby will be here when he or she is ready.

Seriously! I read this and thought, WTF, again?!
  • This!! Why rush your baby out when he/she hasn't fully developed. Ignorance on your part.

I can't even with these posts anymore. Just STOP IT PEOPLE. You will have your baby when your baby is ready to come and/or a doctor deems it necessary to induce. I have never seen crap like this in my life.

  • I'm not sure why everyone is freaking out about this and being rude since you didn't ask for opinions on you wanting your baby to come early, you asked if any natural remedies worked. As others have said, I don't think the remedies work, your baby will come when he or she is ready. I'm sorry you couldn't get a simple answer to your question without the extra negative feedback. That really makes people not want to even ask questions when that is what these places are for...

Get over it. Asking for advice and if it works is practically the same. I'm done supporting people who want to induce labor early. They need to grow up, suck it up, and be a responsible mother.

  • Yea, I would not even consider trying home remedy inducement strategies until after my due date. While I am very anxious to meet my little boy, 38 weeks today, he's not ready yet. It's annoying the crap out of me having everyone saying they wish he'd come now, and have been saying this for weeks. My Lord people, do some research! He isn't even full term yet!
  • Haha I did not say what horrible people you all were but okay, you can take it how you want. And just speaking for myself, i do support other moms when I see different posts but I'm not on here all of the time because I don't have the time to be so I read what posts I can when I have time to log into the app which is probably the case for a lot of people. You're making this about more than what it was originally and you obviously just want to argue and have the last word so go for it.

Your baby's isn't ready... When he/ she is it will come. Castor oil and pinapple juice will likely give you the poops. You have 2 weeks 4 days.
And these myths don't "work" most of the time and if by chance it " works" it's more likely babe was going to come then anyway.
I wouldn't try it but that's because being pregnant and have to poop every 2 minutes doesn't sound appealing.

And if your body truly isn't ready... Your just going to cause more hospital bills and discomfort for yourself!

I'm pretty sure I didn't ask for your advice. But while you're telling me to get over it, I will be lucky to see 37 weeks and yes it sucks when people have healthy pregnancies and they want their babies to come early but that is the time to give them useful information and good advice, not to make fun of them and ridicule them.

I understand not everyone has the time to be here as often as some of us regulars; however you at least acknowledge that you send support to those moms - others, not so much. If you were here as often, you would probably be just as sick of these posts as the rest of us are and you would probably get a little short with them as well. However for those who aren't able to be here often, they should follow the TOU and forum etiquette and conduct a quick search of the board before asking these repeat questions (it literally takes seconds and gives thousands of results). And those of us who are here often are the ones who end up replying to all of these posts, so it is rude for someone to think we should take the time to reply to their repeat post but they can't be bothered to take the time to do a quick search.
