We love talking about names and have been long before we were ever TTC! For girls I think we have narrowed it down to four: Perry Charlie Susie Violet (my grandmother's name)
Boys we are all over the place but here are some we are currently into: Franklin (NN Frankie) Theodore (NN Theo) Gabriel (NN Gabe) Lincoln (Link?)
DH and I are happily set on a boys name, but for girls our top name was always Lena... Then I met someone named Madalena and I LOVED IT and thought how about Lena as a NN. DH sort of likes it but likes just Lena better so he's a little lukewarm. I like it when people have a "formal" name and a nickname but his name is just one syllable and no nickname so he isn't used to it. Thoughts?
Are you sure it wasn't Magdalena?
I believe Madalena is the Portuguese version of the Italian name Magdalena. Both come from the surname of Mary Magdalene in the Bible.
Rainbow Baby? {2.1.21} MC at 8 weeks {EDD 9.2.20} Rainbow Girl! {2.28.16} Baby boy, lost at 16 weeks {EDD 6.10.15}
For girls we like: Emmeline Kay and Harper Margaret For Boys: We can't decide, but the middle name will be Monroe. First name contenders are Sebastian, Owen, and Liam.
DH and I haven't talked about it yet. We were team green for our first and will be again, so I'm not sure if our top girl name will stay or if that will change and we will need a new boy name. My first pregnancy ended in a mc and we actually changed our top boy name for some reason when I got pregnant again. I like to keep a running list on my phone of names we like.

Yes... I am sure lol.... Both are names from the same origin as someone has posted above. This girl went by NN "Maddy" I have also met someone named Magdalena and she went by "Magda."
We've got first names picked out but haven't been able to agree on middle names at all. If baby is a girl she'll be Leah and if baby is a boy he'll be Judah!
We are both somewhat traditional with names. DD is Mackenzie Lynne, and Mackenzie was kind of strange for us at first since it isn't necessarily on the traditional side. We both decided we loved it though. We have no idea for a girls name this time, but for a boy we will go with family names most likely.. So far we are thinking Jefferson Alexander (NN Alex). It's kind of a tradition in H's family to go by your middle name. Jefferson is H's dad's name - who passed away 2 years ago & Alexander is my brothers middle name.
Everyone hated both our kid's names before they were here. My dad even went as far as telling me we were going to ruin my daughter's life...lol.but we like different names. Our last name is EXTREMELY common so we wanted something different.
We have a Nova Mae and an Otto Graham. Our boy name is Sullivan (Sully) Grey or Reid and our girl name is Daphne Lux.
Oh! and we're team green!!
I'm obsessed with your names! Great choices!
3 miscarriages - 1 DS (6) - 1 DD (3) - #3 due March 30!
We, well I, decided on a girl name. DH is good with it but I came up with the name and asked "permission" from my in-laws. My DH's sister Annie passed away 3 years ago, if it's a girl I wanted to incorporate her name so I landed on Annily Grace. Both in-laws love it and appreciate us naming the baby after her, if it's a girl. For a boy we are stuck, I like Wyatt River, hubby is unsure but my MIL is in agreement with me. Lol. We have 3 girls and 1 boy already, with our son we wanted to name him after my hubby but didn't want to make him a Jr., so we gave him my DH first name and since my DH is an avid hunter, we used that as his middle name/name. We named him Zachary Hunter, and call him Hunter.
I have 2 boys already, Kaiden & Gavin. My boy name for this baby is Maverick. Not sure of a middle name. I like Keira for a girl but not set on it, but middle name for sure Nicole (my middle name).
So tough. I'm a teacher so I can't name my child after any student I've taught over the last decade, good or not so good. DD is Theadora (Thea). Name meanings are also really important to us. I'd always loved Asher for a boy but it's so popular now. I don't want my kid to be one of three with the same name in his class growing up. We'll see if bean will be a boy or a girl and then start the decision making. I find choosing boys names so much harder than girls. I really liked reading through all of your ideas!
Girl name might take longer. I like Ella, Brooke, and Hazel. DH is not quite on board with my selections. Middle name will be Elizabeth (after my grandmother)

We LOVE Amelia Christine for a girl (Doctor Who fans and my Grandma's middle name). However, just like last time, we are stumped for a boy's name. I just know I want Emerson for a middle name, because that's DH's middle name.
Name the boy Rory because he was the best companion ever.
Our boy name is picked. It's a family name on his side. Boyd Dean. As for a girl, we both love Lillian. That was my Great Grandmothers name. Having a hard time finding a middle name we both like for a girl.
Our boy name is Thomas Boyce (my dads first name as well as my late grandmas maiden name - my DH's middle name)
Girls names are Charli Nicole (Charles is DH's name and my middle name is Nicole)
or Madden Marie (DH's moms maiden name and my moms middle name)
I hope that I don't offend at all but Thomas Boyce having the same end sound doesn't really flow. Charli looks incomplete and is a boy's name and Madden also sounds very masculine to me.
I don't know if you are open to suggestions but I think Thomas Madden, Thomas Charles, or Boyce Madden would be nice.
Charlize or Charlotte would be a prettier for a girl and more formal and, if you wanted, you could still call her Charlie.
My mom actually came up with one of our names while we were joking around! Jaymeson or Radleigh for boys and Olive is the one girl name we are set on!
I would rethink the spelling of Jameson because everyone is going to misspell it. You will have the same issue with Radleigh as well but on top of that, with all the girls who have -leigh spelled names, most people will think he is a girl. Olive is not my cup of tea but it's not terrible. I do actually like some surnames used as first names for boys. Others I like are Edison, Lincoln, Davis, and Riddick. Best of luck to you.
We've had a boys name picked out for a while - either Charles Preston or Preston Charles. They're both family names. If we go with Charles (the likely choice) as a fn then Charlie will definitely be a nn.
Anyone having an impossible time agreeing on girl names with their DH/SO? We finally agreed on one - Delaney Mae, but the more I look at it, the more I don't know if I am in love? Really love the nn Lane or Laney, though. Because:
I am thinking about being team green this time. I have a boy and a girl already. Callum Donovan and Rowan Maisie. My boyfriend named my daughter and I swear even now I am considering changing her first name. It's really not my style haha.
For a boy I really like: Wilder, Atlas, Fletcher, Cove, Oakley, Theodore, Winston, Orson, Asa, Barrett, Oliver, Maxwell, Jack, Indigo, Sage and Reilly
For girls: Aspen, Indie, Juniper, Matilda, Nora, Evie, Sylvie, Audrey and Elowen.
@Jessimuca I love the name alice rose. I also just love Rose by itself. My husband agrees with Alice but not Rose.
for a boy I loveeeee Oliver Aaron. (Aaron is my husbands middle name). My husband didn't love Oliver but I keep saying it so much I think he likes it now!

For our girl we've had it picked out for a long time! We love Adeline Grace & for our boy it is John "Bishop". DH's first name is John but he goes by His middle name. Even though I really didn't want the boy's first name to be john I had to give in & understand that it was a family first name. But we will call him Bishop.
My little brother Blake took his life Feb 2014 so if we are having a girl we are naming her Blakelyn no idea on boys name
So sorry for your loss but Blake is a beautiful name for a boy I like Blakelyn it's different which is nice I'm sure there won't be anyone else in class with that name. I have a unique name and loved that no one else shares it.
@lostbuttcute my brother Todd took his life in November. We're using his name as a middle name for either a boy or a girl. I hope your family is doing OK. I know how hard it is.
I really love Ira for a boy, but my SO says it's too "nerdy Jewish" (we're not Jewish). The thing is, I think that's a big part of why I liked it! It was just the perfect name: unusual but not unheard of, not trendy, nothing my cousins have already used, not too overly masculine, and the name of two of my favorite NPR hosts! I don't want this to become a wedge between us but I can't think of any names I like nearly as much.
