Hey All! As a FTM I've been curious about what my body will look like after giving birth. There is so much info out there - much of it contradictory, most of it confusing. I'm not feeling really stressed about losing the baby weight, but more just curious about how much stomach will deal without that bundle of baby in it. I saw this article on Buzzfeed and found the photos really helpful/illuminating about the process. Given - every body is different and people will have different journeys, but I thought this info might be helpful to some of you all as it was to me

Re: Post-Birth Body
I didn't know if it would actually make a difference so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on one of the expensive ones so I bought this one off of Amazon with low expectations. I loved it and it's in great shape after being worn for a month and washed several times. I'm already planning on packing it in my hospital bag.
I wear maternity clothes because a lot of them support that jelly belly (I buy full paneled maternity jeans) and maternity tops are a little forgiving and easier to wear to nurse baby.
I don't know if the recovery will be similar this time or not! I'm six years older! I guess we will see!
I also wore a Velcro belly wrap for comfort and recovery and I swear by it! That and breastfeeding were my secret weapons.
There are definitely changes, but they're small and not a big deal. Worth it? Oh ya.
