I have to say that I am really quite shy on here - I'm an older mom and have definitely posted rarely. When I first started reading the posts I was like "whoa" these ladies can be tough. I think I even made a comment about it early on. But overtime I have really come to rely on some of this toughness because it has helped me keep perspective. I love the August 2015 board - all the personalities and all the honest feedback. I wish I had been a bit more active here and been able to give more support but I was kind of a deer in headlights this time around! Good luck to you all - and thanks really - for keeping it real.
Lol! I love you bitches! Every day, I wake up and put my big girl panties on one leg at a time...I'm sorry some people can't do that and feel the need to be babied. But, honestly, if they can't take honesty from all of us here, what kind of fairy tale world do they live in that everyone agrees with them?? Whatev! I'm glad I have you ladies!! A few of you and I could be legit sisters, we see so much eye to eye.
Love the expression but I'm kind of laughing/crying because I physically can no longer put my panties or pants on by myself anymore.. So I guess in a sense, I cannot put on my big girl panties!!! ( )

No time like the present to get more active here @Sbuxtonteaches
I have no idea where they got the negative vibe. I've always thought of us as feisty; like the mom on Moonstruck. I love you ladies. Thank you for your honesty and support.
-.- see, I get annoyed easily, so a lot of the "issues" I have with the bump in general are because of the lack of common sense. To me, if you have a question/are unsure of xyz ASK YOUR DOCTOR. I haven't seen any meanness unless it's coming from the person who didn't get the responce they wanted.

Omg, this^^^^ !! My husband had to help me into my underwear tonight because I couldn't bend over (I think my baby is pinching a nerve!).
Also, for the record, I really adore all you ladies on this board
Man and I thought this board was so nice! With my first, the Feb 12' board was a nightmare. It was a constant war between stay at home moms and moms that worked. I hated it. I think yall are lovely. If honesty means being bullies then boo hoo go away lol. Most of the fiestyness comes from people asking the same doggone question over and over or not liking the answers they're getting

I agree. I don't post anything on here because of the rude replies I get back. Women on here expect you to know everything which is weird.
You clearly haven't gotten to know the board @destinysmith94 which is unfortunate at this point. We don't expect you to know "everything". We expect you to use a little common sense, ask your doctor medical related questions and support other women instead of just logging in to use us as your personal Google search engine. If that makes us "rude" so be it.
I do think it was ehh.. Fuel to the fire.. To post the link here? I get totally why those ladies think that way, because there have been instances where people here have been rude, insensitive, snarky, etc. I am not saying we need to be all happy joy joy and rainbows, but in quite a few cases the snarky comments weren't always necessary.. So I have to agree. I feel like some things could be worded better. Sill straight to the point, but without the snarky, you know?
However, I do enjoy several ladies posts(don't want to give anyone big egos so I'll let you guess ) and I also just tend to skip over the negative side. I never got close with anyone on here, but some of you do brighten my day, and that's made it worth sticking around for. For all the snarky comments, there are always the moments when we all rallied together to offer support and positive thoughts to someone who truly needed it.
@Marissalynn0620 please don't allow anyone to make you feel bad for posting this to let us know what is going on. You shouldn't have to defend the board. You know us...we can defend ourselves.
If people think we're snarky, rude, ect that's usually because their apart of the "puppies and rainbows" crew and they just can't deal with different personalities. There are many posters here that I don't particularly care for but that doesn't mean I will sit around complaining about them. I deal and move on. You cannot tell someone how to respond, "without snark", because you want everyone to sing "Kum-ba-ya". It's not even the real world.
Anyway, you know the ones that have your back. Even after the babies are born

I didn't know a thing about pregnancy when I came here. When I want an honest opinion I come here. I know they will give it to me straight up and in return I would do the same for them. I have grown to adore complete strangers and I wouldn't want them to be any other way!
Interesting since a lot of them seem to be from jersey. .. we're not known to be rainbows and butterflies. .. sensitive people
amen. Us tough Jersey girls have thick skin (and great hair)
I never knew we have so many jersey girls in A15! I'm a born n raised Jersey girl too! I'm in Lawrence now but was raised in East Windsor (between Princeton/Freehold) and born in New Brunswick. (Delivering my son in Princeton)
It is true though.. Us Jersey girls do have a thick skin n tougher then most attitude. Lol we can't help it. It's just who we r. Or maybe it's in our drinking water. Lol
I lurk over in July too sometimes even though my due date is 8/28.. I'm on special meds that I have to be on that might make me go early.

I was born in Seacacus. Lived in Jersey city until 5. Moved to Howell and that's where i spent my whole childhood until about 22. Then I moved to Toms River and have been here since. But my god, i have lived everywhere. Freehold, Brick, Long Branch, Red Bank. Everywhere! lol.
@destinysmith94 not everything, just things that to a majority are common sense. Plus seeing the same question asked 10000000 times can make some people aggravated. If you want an opinion, you are going to get their opinion. Now. Whether you like it is a totally diffrent story.
Lol very interesting read, I don't get my panties in a bunch over the small stuff(my panties barely fit as is lol) we're all pregnant and hormonal but I can't believe we're the bad girls of 2015. Lol. I kinda like it
Lol!!!! Its the Leo babies we are carrying!!!! I'm going with that....
Side note: I have never gotten offended here or felt attacked, unwelcome etc.
I don't post a lot because I'm pretty tight with my D12 FB group and the bump app sucks, but when I do check in I notice that we have some quality posters here. This board isn't particularly snarky IMO- but I've been on TK/TN/TB for a long time and seen real nasty stuff go down.

I agree. The people who have a problem with this post are the ones who never contribute anyways. If you have something constructive to say then we will respond accordingly. Don't expect a non snarky response if you ask something ridiculous. Even when I was a FTM I had common sense.
I don't contribute a lot mainly because I don't have much to say. I was more active with my March12 board because I had more free time, but I've drifted away from our FB page at this point. And, I guess it was because everything was so new to me back then as well. I find the boards to be fairly mild compared to how they were a few years ago. I jump in here and there and ignore posts that seem ridiculous. And, some really are.
Omg I am just seeing this...July15 can suck it. If being "rude" or "mean" keeps the mucus plug pictures away and our Aug15 mommies happy with keeping their babies until full term...so be it. I'm completely satisfied with that outcome. But honestly...we're not even mean at all. I've never felt offended or seen anything that should make anyone else feel offended. Those ladies that left in a butthurt flurry have obviously never worked in customer service... love you ladies!!! Wouldn't trade this board for anything
@BRIELEE333 yey! another babe being born in the baby mill! but in all honesty, its a good delivery hospital and they have a level III NICU just incase. thats why i wanted to deliver there ... also, my obgyn only goes to that hospital
This just makes me lol...when I was first on the A15 there were times that I felt people were just being mean to be mean, then I came around to the belief that if you don't want people's brutal opinions then you shouldnt put stupid questions on the board lol. Yes people tell it like it is, if you can't handle the truth then get off of the board. With a due date of 8/10 I had thought of lurking, but I figured why bother, they are probably discussing the same things as we are. At least on August I've gotten a sense of some of the.personalities and know about the firing squad haha
