I'm so glad 4th of July is over. I'm so over fireworks, and I can't understand why people let their young children set them off. Definitely judged some neighbors for letting their little ones set of explosives late into the night.
I hate the beach! Born and raised in south Florida and I just never understood the hype. Hot, sand everywhere, salt water in your eyes and mouth. I mean I've been a million times of course but I'm always like... eh. Maybe I'm jaded.
I'm sick of people telling me I'm "glowing" - I'm far from it, it just feels like an insult when I feel so miserable. Like someone telling you something looks nice on you when you know it doesn't.

ME TOO! I was in a horrible mood all weekend about the fireworks!
My UO: I seriously hate wedding and baby showers. Something about sitting around watching an adult open a bunch of gifts and smiling like I care really sets me off for some reason. I'm all about celebrating someone's milestone (wedding, baby, etc.) but when it's a 3-hour event in which the majority of it is someone opening a bunch of gifts, I get exceedingly irritated. Maybe just because I have so many this summer and I'm tired of doing it. I really am a Grinch, I know. Don't judge me. If someone wants to throw me a baby shower, I plan to ensure that it's a very casual event where there is good food and alcohol (for others, of course), and no one has to watch me open a single present.
I side eye what some people eat while they're pregnant. Pregnancy is not an excuse to eat like crap 24/7. Part of me wonders if people don't know any better or they just don't care.

Probably also has a bit to do with what they can stomach, especially early in pregnancy. I know I'm not eating the best right now (I'm usually a VERY healthy eater) but have to do what I can to get some nutrients when I'm so nauseous and hardly anything sounds good to me.
@pbtoast yes!! I always think showers will be fun or sweet, but they're always annoying. And opening gifts is actually the BEST part---heaven forbid you get roped into attending one of those showers with "games". Not fun.

Lord what is wrong with you!? Ha, just kidding. I really one going to the beach… I love watching the waves crash and hearing the sounds. I love it especially at night. For some reason it makes me feel so small in the grand scheme of things. Now, living there I can see why maybe you don't see it so special. We live near a big lake and Im over here like "Lake Schmake"

------ I think everyone gets a pass first tri, since I agree, sometimes you can only stomach one thing.
I'm talking about the ice cream for breakfast, fast food every night kind of diet.

Oh, don't even get me started on the games! Half the time I don't know the person that well so I have absolutely no interest in trying to win a game of trivia about your favorite color or dream travel destination. Ughhhh!

People should gift their daycare providers. I realize that's an unpopular opinion for some....but really. If you think your in home provider is just banking on pure profit, you're delusional.

It was a topic in question from my last group and a lot of them seemed to think they pay their provider enough...
Summer is my least favorite season. I am ready for it to be over, especially with my all day sickness! The heat makes it so much worse! I am so ready for fall!

This is why I live in Washington...We have the reputation of it rains all the time, and I love overcast..unfortunately Global Warming has screwed up my gross weather and it's way too effing hot and dry!
I hate being pregnant and I am already beyond over it. I have a total of 8 doctors appointments just for this month. FML. It was an unplanned pregnancy, but I didn't have to see my specialists this often when pregnant with DD until further in pregnancy. I wish I could fast forward to February so I can have this baby already!
I don't get what all the fuss is about with the Royal Family. I don't care about their weddings or their babies. American media is so obsessed with it and I honestly don't get why my FB feed is plastered in articles about them.

Good thing I don't know you irl! I had 5 grapes for breakfast, then a handful of oyster crackers and an hour ago I had 2 ego waffles. Last night I managed to actually eat a plate of rice and sweet and sour chicken...(greasy Chinese)
I might throw up soon.
I agree some people are not aware/educated in that they really can't eat for two... Its like all the old wives tales.... Anyways I didn't eat awesome with dd but I also had a lot of food aversions and lost almost 20lbs in the first tri! Maybe more time spent judging the smokers and people using drugs while pregnant than worrying what the people who can't even stomach a grape or a glass of water are eating. Jmo
I eat whatever I want during pregnancy and don't give a crap what people think, lol. Will I eat only junk and nothing nutritious? Of course not. Yes it's annoying when people say "I'm eating for 2" or whatever as an excuse to eat everything under the sun and gain 80 lbs, but if you're hungry then eat. I've been eating extra this time because it helps to keep my nausea at bay. Sometimes it's broccoli, sometimes watermelon, and sometimes it's a fat, juicy, delicious cheeseburger. Haha

So many people said in another thread that they'd feel weird if their husband was present for a vaginal ultrasound or pelvic exam, or that it would make their H uncomfortable. That makes no sense to me. Your H is an adult, right? He can't handle a doctor doing their job, under a cover? It doesn't take that long and it's not like he'd be standing at your feet watching. DH came to all of my appointments last time and he didn't get skeeved out by exams or anything. How are these people going to handle being in the delivery room when you give birth? Lots of weird, gross stuff happens in there too, you know. And they do checks to see how far dilated you are like every hour.
I remember my UO.

I had this thought too. I figure if they're adult enough to have sex with you, they're adult enough to see something go up your hoo-ha for a few minutes.. And apparently I'm not adult enough to say that anatomically correct word...
Donald Trump is either clinically delusional or he's the world's best troll.
He is coming to AZ and says "I am probably the most popular person in Arizona" um no you are not. Why must the media make it look like we are a bunch of racist rednecks. 70% of people that live here are from somewhere else. We can't ALL be rednecks!

This = me. I always thought I'd be the epitome of a healthy eater during pregnancy because I'm borderline-orthorexic, but karma got me BIG TIME with nausea and food aversions. Literally no choice in the matter weeks 4-8. Only this week have I had some reprieve and I'm able to eat raw salads again and not snack on macaroons every night like they're water in the Sahara. Never judging a pregnant woman's food choices or weight gain ever ever again. I don't need more of *that* karma! I feel like such an air-headed jerk for having done so.

Ditto. All I was thinking was just wait til labor, delivery, and post partum. Gosh, they'll really be uncomfortable then...

Dh wasn't in the room when the one amazing nurse came in and actually helped me clean myself up when I could finally get up out of the bed for the first time, that was pretty much the only thing he missed! I just have to laugh that they think it would be awkward for their husband to be in the room during 90% of this stuff. I got check sooo many times. I got blessed with a newbie so everything she did got checked again!!!
