We found out a few weeks ago that we are having a boy. We have one son named Benjamin so we wanted to go a little off the beaten path this time around. We both really like Atticus but are having a tough time coming up with a middle name (not Finch) . Any suggestions?
We are team green. We have a daughter named Emily. I really love the name Felix if we have a boy. It isn't a very common name, I honestly don't know anyone with the name, but I love it and so far hubby seems to like it. We aren't sharing it with friends and family because I'm sure someone will object to it. What are your thoughts on it? Still undecided on girl names.
I'm having a boy and naming him Felix ! I love it as well but I feel the same way as you , that people will think it's weird . I think it's awesome
Lurking from December as I'm in between both, we found out the day before my birthday (June 28th) which was also my parents 35th wedding Anniversary we having a girl, she will be Evangeline (Evie) Hope
We find out on the 13th. Gavin Harris (Harris was my grandfather's name) if it's a boy and still undecided for a girl name. She'll either be Elise Catherine or Violet Elizabeth (Cecily June is still a strong contender though but we seem to be leaning towards the other two more). We change our decision daily. Any thoughts on those girl names?
My name is Elyse!! Love it. As a kid I wasn't fond of it because teachers couldn't pronounce my name but now, Elyse/Elise is getting out their and isn't soo unheard of like it was when I was a kid. I think when writing the name, I liked that mine had the "y" instead of an "i" but either way I approve haha
My husband and I found out we're having a boy! We're between Cooper Lane or Cooper James. Can't decide!
I definitely like cooper james better. I feel like cooper lane sounds like a street name
You know, I was thinking the same thing. It's my step dad's middle name who has treated me as his own since day one so it would be nice to use it...but I'm so insure about how it sounds. I definitely like Cooper James better.
Very true! Both go nicely with our (complicated/hard to pronounce) last name. We have to go with easy and unmistakeable, poor little one will go thru years of school and no teacher will know how to pronounce his last name.

Ive heard lane as a first name before.. Maybe Lane Cooper
So we are having a boy (yay!) and have been thinking Peter. However my husband just casually mentioned he thinks that can be a euphamism for penis. Personally I've never heard that! Googling confirms it's true but it doesn't seem as egregious as like Dick or Johnson. Thoughts??
Just found out we are having our girl and her name is Larissa Nicole and congrats to you guys I think it's a beautiful name no matter what anyone says so let them get you down about it

I've HEARD of "Peter" as a slang term for penis, but very rarely—it's nothing like naming your son Dick. So I definitely wouldn't throw away the name on that account!
From an origin standpoint, Lavinia in Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus is violently raped, and then her hands and tongue are cut off and then she is murdered by her own father.....
We've managed to narrow our baby boy's name down to 4 choices. What are everyone's thoughts on these:
Dixon
Lucas
Ryder
Shea
Lucas or Shea by a mile.
Dixon will be followed by dick jokes all his life, and Ryder sounds like you're trying really really hard to give him a "cool" name.
I'm 22 weeks and we still can't decide on a boy's name we both like. We like names that start with an A or a D. Something different, nothing too common. Help!
