I'm getting my masters in ABA. I'm going to test for my BCBA after I graduate. Do you work in a school, therapy center, or do home bound? I'm a sped teacher now and I love it, but I'm thinking that I might like going more towards the therapy side when I finish.
Hey @kyleec89 , I work in home. I considered taking the BCaBA course work but I don't think ABA therapy is for me and I don't want to be trapped at my current company to complete the certification. With your masters you would probably be more in a supervision role and making treatment plans and depending on the company you wouldn't do the direct therapy with the client. Good luck and hope it works out.
I'm a nanny and absolutely love every minute of it. Even the parts when kiddos are tantruming/sick/making me crazy.
My dream job would be to be a midwife, and with any luck I'll be going back to school after baby and getting my degree in midwifery (fingers crossed for being accepted to the crazy-competitive reprogram).
I am a court clerk for a Justice of the Peace. I love my job! It's very interesting and I get to interact with people all day. Plus who doesn't like great benefits. I'm just looking forward to once we can finally get pregnant. I'll get to stay home which I'm excited about.
I'm a biomedical engineer working in intellectual property negotiation (patents) for medical devices. It's not what I pictured myself doing in college, but turns out it's been a wonderful fit for me. Love that I'm always learning something new! Also, I'm able to telework, so that flexibility will be key to (hopefully) maintaining a decent work/life balance with a new little family member.
I'm a Project Manager (PMP) working under contract for the federal government. I help decide and what projects and make sure they get done right an on time for the radars that the FAA and weather uses all over the US and world. Next time you step on an airplane, think of me... I'm keeping you safe from point A to point B! I love what I do.
I started out just trying to get my name out there, then focused more on doing it to help out charities that meant a lot to me. I've also never shot anything that's racier than Maxim-rated, so no worries there. Pin-up is fun, confidence building (especially after having a few kids), and I recommend every woman try it once. There is no right or wrong body type. All are welcome. I've tapered off considerably since deciding to add to the family. I was 8wks at my last shoot for the BwT 2016 calendar.

I'm in Retail Marketing and work with an incredible team that makes going to work every day enjoyable. The job can be stressful at times and requires quite a bit of travel (which makes me a little nervous when thinking about hopefully welcoming a LO into the mix).
I would LOVE to eventually get into a field where I work with children on a daily basis :x
Love hearing about everyone's backgrounds! Such a vibrant and talented group of people!
I run a private mental health care home (feel like there are lots of us MH professionals around here).
I specifically left a social work job I loved for 4 years to run the care home so I could be at home with our future children. I suppose that is making ttc even tougher, knowing I made a career move with children in mind and it's not happening as soon as we had hoped.
@sillysarahsoda sorry to hear things aren't happening as quickly as hoped, but from one mental health professional to another I just wanted to say hello :-h
I'm a SAHM & blogger. Love the flexibility and that I can work from home! I have my degree in Elementary Education and use it raising my children every day
