September 2015 Moms

Is my husband pregnant? Or me?

i'm pretty sure he is pregnant! His sypmtoms:

Moodiness: oh my goodness his hormones must be raging bc he is so moody!...
Cravings! Seriously he came home after working out and looked at me and said "babe I need a Big Mac!" I said "you don't NEED a Big Mac" and he said "no you don't understand" and left to get a Big Mac! The very next day we were supposed to have a nice romantic lunch he turns to me and says "Hun I just need a Big Mac!" Hah I roll my eyes...
He can't sleep..
His back is sore...
His hands are swelling and has to take his rings off...
Pregnancy Brain: but not in the normal forgetfulness way that we get, I think in his case he has just lost his flipping mind! Some of the things he says just makes my jaw drop like he has not filter!...
And he is so exhausted and needs his naps!

So yeah my poor pregnant husband! Let's all take a moment and feel bad for him..... I just hope is little psychological pregnancy ends when mine does in September lol

Re: Is my husband pregnant? Or me?

  • This is very cute. My husband did gain weight and is super moody these days from the diet he put himself on but otherwise none of these symptoms. Once he put the milk in the freezer and cereal in the fridge and blamed the pregnancy. Hopefully he does come out of his psychological pregnancy- too many big macs ! GL

  • My SO eats all the time. Random things. And they come like cravings.
This soup I make he use to hate, now we've had it 4 times in 2 weeks because he keeps making me make it!
And now it's grapes, I bought myself grapes as a healthy snack, but he has eaten almost all of them!!
Oh and toaster struddles! He bought a box of them on Friday and they are already gone and he looked at me and said "how many of these did you eat!??" I didn't have the heart to tell him I haven't even eaten one. He ate all 6 in 2 days.
  • Your description of your husband is my boyfriend 100%. I'll make dinner and he insists in going and getting a big Mac with bacon on it. He also has donuts and butter cake next to our bed so he doesn't have to leave to get them.
He is sooooooooooooo moody that it makes me want to go hide in a hole until his fake pregnancy is over.
  • Oh my gosh, mine doesn't have a stash by the bed... But almost everyday when he lays down for his nap he calls me and asks me to get the ice pack out of the freezer for his head.... Yea!
  • Lol! My BF is pregnant too.
  • Glad to hear mine isn't the only one that had been ridiculously moody/crabby!! I definitely feel like he's had more of the stereotypical pregnancy symptoms than I have, LOL
Not that I'm complaining about not having them myself! ;-)
  • :-) Lol, I love these!

My fiance and I haven't slept a wink in 4 days.  He's so confused by it but I know he's just experiencing pregnancy sympathy pains. lol

I do not feel bad for him. HAHHA
  • My DH has been "pregnant", too! He's hungry all the time, headachey, tired, he's nesting furiously (he's so excited to start spackle-ing the attic)... he's groaning every time he moves now, like I've been.

...I'm lucky he doesn't get moody with me, but the guys he works with call him Grumpy Dickhead when he gets started :)
  • @AksanaAnais
I got the hospital bag lecture too! He said he doesn't want me to get rushed to the hospital or something and he have to be responsible for bringing me the stuff I need. He's afraid he'll bring the wrong stuff(and he probably would!) haha
  • This is so funny! My DH did gain weight with my first pregnancy and then lost about 10 pounds once the baby was here. But his eating didn't really seem to change, it was just sympathy water weight I guess lol. Now, my sisters and girlfriends! None of them have babies but all of them have symptoms. One is really emotional, one has sore boobs, one has achey back and sore feet, one has the nesting thing and keeps giving me a hard time for not buying diapers yet lol. They're all fake pregnant and here I am with this belly!

    Mine is pregnant too!

-- Requires more naps than I do.

-- Is nesting but in a completely different way...he's prepping all things work related.

-- Seems to be eating more than I am. And is really annoyed by the weight gain.

-- Somewhat moody...I suspect stress is the culprit. Or all the craptastic food he is eating.

Arg my man said something yesterday and I can't remember what it was but I was like, "Are YOU the pregnant one?"

  • Haha this is so funny. My husband will be so happy to hear that he isn't the only man out there suffering. He is currently on a steroid for a medical condition, but he eats all the time! It does make me feel better when I'm starving again 2 hours after a meal! He has gained close to 40 pounds since I've been pregnant. He is also terribly moody & has had a lot of the same back pains that I have. ^-^
  • My husband is eating so much more than normal and keeps talking about the "food baby" he's growing. He also has to pee all the time and he's definitely been more emotional than normal!

This weekend, we were on our babymoon and we saw a baby store--he insisted we go in multiple times while we were there! It was adorable. He was loving all the clothes, books, and games. He's a cute preggo!
  • Haha aw that's really cute. Some men do get sympathy pregnancy symptoms, my husband some how is getting a sympathy belly! I'm just happy he decided to start going to the doctors, I've been telling him to get a check up and to get something's looked at for almost two years and he just now decided to see the doctor and dentist...
  • These are fantastic. Mine has gained weight though he doesn't seem to be eating more unless he is doing it at work heh. Other than that he has been pretty good. He is obsessed w Costco though too since I got preg, baby clothes, toys, etc.

    This is my hubby^^^^^^^^^
  • I retract my previous statement that he isn't eating more. Yesterday I came home from the grocery store with stuff for dinner. As I'm cooking he asks, "did you get brownie mix?". It wasn't on the list so I did not. He waits about 5 minutes then asks "is there any in the cabinet?", "what about cookies" There is not. When our friend got here for dinner he asks her "how do you feel about a hot fudge sundae" trying to ask her to make a Mickey D's run. This went on for hours until I went to put DD down for bed and he made himself chocolate milk.
  • This is so funny! Thanks for sharing! DH doesn't have anything like this. He's eating more but not gaining and ounce. I thought for sure he would gain weight but no... He's always gotten by on less sleep than me. He's been so sweet to me and baby. I'm the only one buying anything for baby and he thanks me for that!
