GTKY baby names

We are Team Green so we need a name for either sex but we are totally prepared this time around!

Do you have your names chosen? Anyone have a name they LOVE but can't convince their SO of?

    We will most likely use a 'D' name. I have an 'A' and 'B' and my angel was our 'C'. I like Dylan and Darcy, but DH hates those.

    So here's a question about baby names. Our friends used one of the same names as we are thinking about (Penelope). Should we count that name as out for the count? We really love it.

    How close are you to these friends? Will you be seeing a lot of them? Personally, I'd still use the name - your baby is your baby for the rest of your life!
    I am afraid we are actually pretty close to them- my husband went to school with one of them and then reconnected with her at University. We all have a lovely mutual friend named Poppy and I think that is why we are all so keen on the name. I don't know though, even though our children will probably never be at school together, DH and her husband could potentially be working together soon so we will probably be seeing a lot of them.

    Agreed. Oliver is the best name. We have an Oliver Charles so I may be biased.

    We don't really have any name choices this time yet. I had a lateish mc before oliver and I was bleeding this time around too so I think we're both just waiting until 12 weeks to start doing any real planning.

    Girls: Beatrice, Caroline or Margot
    Boys: Caleb or Dashiell

    For a girl, we know the first name will be Eleanor.  We can't figure out a middle name though.  It's tricky because our last name also ends with an -er sound.

    For a boy, it will probably be William Robert or Robert William.  For DS, we hadn't picked out the middle name by the time he was born.  My husband really wanted William to be the middle name, but I vetoed it because of labor and emergency c-section. lawyered.

    Lol Dh and I have been compiling a list of names since we were decided to TTC. We need a long list (32/gender) because we turn it into a tournament where friends and family get to vote on their favorites (this is how we did DS).
    I like more unique names. Some of our top contending girls are: Madeline, Maizie, penelope (penny), Ophelia, and Ginny
    Boys are tougher but so Far we like:
    Aemon, Elliot, cooper, Nolan, and Eli.

    Havent really discussed names. Just have discussed if we wanted to find out or not. I want to find out but my bf doesnt. And if he doesnt find out then i cant find out because i cannot keep a secret lol

    Boy name is picked out, girl middle name is picked, first name is not. SO and I always tend to disagree on a girl name.

    We've had a boy named picked out before DD was born. We've already started discussing girl names in case we have another girl but it's so hard for us to agree on girl names! So far we can both agree on Juliet and Matilda (nn Mattie). MH name is Matt so I thought that would be cute :) I'm not sure if I love those names though. I'm sure I'll change my mind multiple times. :P

    Has anyone dealt with a family member (mother or mother in law) catching wind of your boy name and telling you it is awful and you need to change it ? How do you manage family reactions? I told her it didn't matter what we decided to name our child that she would love him or her just the same and she could use a nickname if she wanted...


    We were lucky everyone loved our daughter's name right off the bat

    We haven't discussed names yet but ones we liked from last time are Jenna for a girl or Jamie for a boy. We all have J names...so I guess we are THAT family. Haha!

    Everyone knows our boy name and it's very common/ traditional so we didn't worry telling people. When we named our daughter (Eloise) we didn't tell a soul because I was afraid someone would hate it and express their displeasure and I didn't want to deal with the doubt. If we have another girl, we'll probably stay hush on it for that reason.

    I don't have any experience in dealing with people telling me they hate a name I had picked out but if it helps, you might change your mind over these next 9 months. My mind changed about 4-5 times last time around.

    Our frontrunners so far are Charlie/Calvin/Jonah for a boy and Claire/Camille for a girl. We already have a Lena and I feel like we're going to have a lot harder time coming to a decision with this one!

    We have two boys, and for both those pregnancies, our girl's name was Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Elizabeth and Diana are family names. And now the new princess has that EXACT name. Soooo...is it out? Will we just seem like Royal family followers?? How many Charlottes will there be this next year?? Sigh.

    Another Dr Who fan here...I LOVE Amelia...but DH's ex wife is Amy so that one won't happen. I like Clara but it sounds funny with our last name, so I'm pushing for Claire instead which sounds fantastic with it. DH and I also both really like Emma but I don't want a name that is so popular right now.

    We haven't gotten much agreement on boys names yet. I have a few on my short list but the only one we've agreed on is Rowan...I'm not sure that it matches very well with my stepsons' names, though (Patrick Ryan, Jacob Brendan, and Connor James). Hopefully we'll have a girl and I won't have to worry about another boy name!

    We pretty much are set on the name Addilynn Jordan for a girl and the name Declan David Thomas for a boy. The middle names are family names.

    We picked Owen Matthew for a boy (Owen is my husband's middle name and Matthew is my father's name) and Everlie Gail for a girl Evie for a NN (Gail is my Aunt's name and she passed away 3 1/2 years ago, she got to hold me first when I was born ♡♡♡)

    I'm going to attempt to go Team Green for the first time and I'm totally stressed about coming up with a boy and girl name. Haha. We have two girls (Lucy and Lena) and I really want to avoid the letter L this time. Lena was the only name DH and I could agree on for DD2, but I regret using the same initial. 

    For girls, I love Ruby (DH says it's too rhyme-y with Lucy) and until about a month ago, DH and I agreed that if we ever had another girl, her name would be Maggie. But I'm not sure I'm totally in love with it anymore. I also like Mila and Everly. 

    For boys, I like . . . absolutely nothing. I can't think of a single boy name that I love. Time to find some baby name books . . .
