I find that I rarely use her name, but we have lots of nicknames. To name a few: Baby Bird (her name is Wren), Piglet, Cuddle bug, June bug, and Sweetness.
Our poor son, our nicknames so far seem to be mainly based on insults - we have ratbag (based on a joke one of the L&D nurses made), little monster and smooshie-face. Hopefully we won't keep calling him this long term. In fairness DH and I only use those names between ourselves - I usually call LO love or darling when I'm speaking to him.
My L&D nurse called me "sweet pea" the WHOLE time. Every time she walked in the door- "it's me sweet pea." When time to push- "alright, push sweet pea." So we call her Sweet Pea as a joke. Also, Little Bit. & I thought about Emmy, but haven't used a lot yet.
Baby Love, Squeaker, Stinky, Piglet (or Schweinchen, which is "little pig" in German)... but we use his name a lot.
He was named after my grandfather who just passed away in September, and we didn't realize how weird it would be, at first, to use that name! So we call him Baby C. or Little C. to distinguish him from Grandpa, who was Big C. DH and I (and the family) have been making ourselves say it a lot to get used to it, and it worked - after two weeks, it felt normal.
I've called LO Peanut since before we knew her sex. I hated when people called her "it", so I picked something. Her name is Paisley, so it still goes, and honestly I almost never call her her real name either.
I call Sylvester little buddy the most. We also call him burrito buddy (when he's swaddled up) and I call him Bebe in a French accent for some strange reason...
Hubby calls her "peanut" weighing in at 4/11 at birth so it makes sense lol I call her piglet because of her eating grunts and how crazy she gets for food
Her name is Colette so we call her Cole and Colie a lot. Also, Pretty Face (ridiculous, I know) or Fuss Face depending on her mood. I'm about to start a new evening nickname: Colicky Colette.
I feel like I call her anything other than her actual name. I've called her monkey, baby, butterball turkey, piglet, hoglet, booger, monkey butt (don't ask why, I have no clue)...there are probably others, but that's what I remember as of right now. Most of the time I just say "baby" though.
Our daughter is Quinn and I typically call her that or "Q" because I called her "Q" the whole pregnancy but my husband calls her snoopy, and I don't know why... Lol
We have so many... Little Man, Bub, Ev, Mr. McAwesome Pants. I do use baby a lot too. I need to start using his full name (Everett) or he won't know it!
Master P, PJ (always said in a snotty, aristocratic voice - reference Disney's Robin Hood where Little John is swindling Prince John during the archery contest), Lil' Dude.
Piglet (I see I'm not alone here), hungry hippo, lovey, monkey, and I use baby a lot too. I do use his name frequently (Colin), and I'll call him C sometimes too.
"Stinky girl" or Heavy Evvie, but mostly "little girl" or "pretty girl" if I'm just talking to her by myself. We gotta drop those first two before she understand us!
Our little one is named Henry and hand to god we had no idea hank was short for Henry! My husband keeps trying to call him hank the tank but I immediately shut that down. His name is Henry damnit! Haha. I sometimes call him Hen or Hen Hen.

Our lo is Henry, too! I've had several people ask if we were going to call him Hank, especially FIL who pretty much insisted on it, despite what I said. So far no one has called him that but he has no shortage of silly nicknames. I call him baby, little boy, dumpling, bud, and buddy. DH calls him bud or buddy mostly. My mom calls him sweetness, sugar foot, and sweet boy. Poor little boy is never going to know his real name
Nugget, big man, sweet boy, Mr. Man, & his name, Dominic. A lot of people are trying to call him Dom, which really rubs me the wrong way. I don't really like any nicknames derived from his name. Domi is ok.. We'll see what sticks!
Re: Just for fun - LO nicknames
