Being a social worker made me realize that I don't really like people all that much.
Yep. I was totally there when I was in that field. I lost all faith in humanity (worked with CPS/DSHS) when reading intakes for the children we worked with. All I wanted to do was come home and cuddle with my dogs because they can never disappoint!

Being a therapist for children and youth "at risk" made me feel this way. Heart broken for kids. But the parents...Oh some parents!
Just looking at thread titles lately has brought my fffc. Measuring behind doesn't matter.... It's not exact. Loss of symptoms doesn't matter, consider it a blessing for the relief. No I don't want to guess your gender. It's a baby, you will find out more between 16-20 weeks. Seriously people pick up a book. What to expect when you are expecting or something. Grumpy mama courtesy of my toddler who was up too much last night.
I can't help but feel bad for the moms who have actually experienced a loss when I read the should I be concerned with miscarriage because I'm not sick posts.
I've had a loss. There were no symptoms, and no changes of symptoms. Internet strangers can't tell you anything, we aren't doctors. So if you are really concerned call your doctor, and if not keep your post to the daily symptoms post.

FFFC: My 2 year old wants to dress himself and I let him. He's only going to daycare ffs, so what if he doesn't match.

Being an HR professional, made me realize I don't like people that much either! lol They complain too much...about everytyhing!
Being in Legal does the same thing. I don't much care for people beyond "my people" (and just to be clear, I mean DH, DD, and our close friends).
Working for the City did the same thing to me. I was the accountant for the Housing and Community Development Department. We helped low-income people fix or purchase homes. They made me want to slam my head into a wall. Seeing the options for assistance people in "need" have and don't use and then want hand outs makes me very grumpy.

I used to like people. Then after Working 15 years in my retail setting job (work in a pharmacy now) and some of the people I deal with makes me wanna slam my head into a brick wall. Either they are rude, demand things, that I can no do. Or are just stupid and I wonder how they made it this far in life.

And I've been biting my tongue until now, so I'm going to go ahead and throw this one out there: I'm not a total stickler about semantics, I swear, but, seriously, learning the 'gender' of a fetus isn't even possible. Anatomical sex, sure. But you won't know the gender at 20 weeks or at the moment of birth... and, for that matter, the gender may very well be fluid for the duration of life.
Maybe people are just shying away from the word 'sex', or maybe being PC all of the time is a PITA. Maybe some don't agree with the linguistic distinction at all. But I get stuck on that word every time.

And I've been biting my tongue until now, so I'm going to go ahead and throw this one out there: I'm not a total stickler about semantics, I swear, but, seriously, learning the 'gender' of a fetus isn't even possible. Anatomical sex, sure. But you won't know the gender at 20 weeks or at the moment of birth... and, for that matter, the gender may very well be fluid for the duration of life.
Maybe people are just shying away from the word 'sex', or maybe being PC all of the time is a PITA. Maybe some don't agree with the linguistic distinction at all. But I get stuck on that word every time.
I'm honestly surprised it hasn't come up yet. It's usually a combination of not wanting to say sex and not knowing the difference. I'll admit I use them more interchangeably than I should.
My favorite thing about the anatomy scan is seeing the heart not the sex. Something about seeing all the chambers and blood flowing in the right directions amazes me.

I bought chicken last week, froze immediately, and thawed in the fridge yesterday. When I opened the package I realized it was BAD! That was the last smell I needed. DH took the label back to the store for a refund and I'm making him get Kung pao chicken and donuts from the chinese place next door. Seems like a fair trade for baked chicken right?

My oblivious aunt is hosting a baby shower for my oblivious cousin outside, in Texas, in July, on a Saturday, at dinner time, without serving dinner, on my wedding anniversary. I know my anniversary isn't important to all of them, but it's the last thing I want to be doing, spending my anniversary outside in 100 degree heat, trying not to feel nauseous with her chickens running around. This is my last anniversary without a baby to worry about, but I still want to go, partly do I can know what NOT to do for my shower.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE snooping registries! I don't know how many amazon wedding registries I stalked while I was planning our wedding. I think I looked a every single public one i could find.
If you can't park between the lines and you are close to my car, I am not going to be careful with my car door, especially if it's on the side where the car seat is. My door may just slip from my hand. Oops.
Can this go for the people who park behind me over my line and I can't open my back hatch of my van? I should be allowed to open it a few times into their car

I would so not be going! That is going to be miserable..... I would just send a gift and say sorry, it's our anniversary. That should be an easy out.
