I am an a$$hole right now. I have been super nauseated for the last week. I was dehydrated and called the on call OB (new to my area so I don't know or understand the protocols). I talked to a nurse, instead of the doc even though it was after hours. They called me in nausea meds that require my insurance to talk to my OB so I have to wait until Monday to get them because the medication I asked for is not one they normally prescribe.They also wanted me to wait to get IV fluids even though it was decided I am dehydrated.

A) Me and my OB will have a long talk over this BS. I'm asking for a med that is a category B medication that treats everything I have and doesn't require prior authorization. He knows this med is safe and works. So I want some way to override this nurse because I am a nurse and I do not care what they do for everyone else. I am a type 1diabetic, so when I start going down hill, its fast. Hopefully we can understand that I am a nurse and I have a voice and I get what I want.

I am not waiting for IV fluids and I have 2 insurances. One picks up the tab of the other. I have 2 PCP and since my primary insurance has my Endo as the PCP, if I need IV fluids, I'm going to the ER and getting IV fluids, so I did and now I feel better.

C) I am a B*tch while pregnant and I do not care what the nurse says. I do as I please since I was going to go to medical school so I could be an OBGYN I will give them hell. Rawr!

SC ruling today that all 50 states will recognize same sex marriage. I'm glad for it, but my family full of conservatives is boo hooing about it on facebook. Get over it!! Gay people getting married is not going to change anything in your little bubble!!! Sometimes it's crap like this that makes me not want to be around my family. I don't understand how people who were raised with the whole "judge not" concept have it so wrong!

ETA: Sorry, more of a rant than a confession...

DH's cousin is getting married halfway across the country on DS's second birthday and we're expected to go. I'm more upset about it than I should be.

Repeat threads are annoying but I don't care that much.

If one more person on here says they're jealous of people with morning sickness because they "want to feel something", I will virtually throat punch them. IT IS NOT FUN TO LIE ON THE COUCH ALL DAY AND VOMIT/TRY NOT TO VOMIT.

I am amazed sex vs. gender hasn't come up yet. This is honestly the tamest BMB I have ever seen.

I never felt it with my first born. And wished I felt it all. I was cursed this time around. Dry heaving all day is not fun!

I already signed up for formula samples - We supplemented with formula as I didn't pump quite enough for daycare. I only had to spend $20 over 8 months for formula.

Also if you have a Motherhood Maternity and go buy something and sign up for their mailing list, they'll send you a box near your due date with like four cans of formula and some of those on-the-go single serving formula pouches. I gave mine to someone because I didn't need them, but still cool.

The tradeoff is that they'll send you Parents magazine for 18+ months. At least they don't charge you for it?  :-??

This whole thing has made me realize I need to defriend some people on Facebook. I can appreciate different viewpoints, but some of the shockingly close minded comments... yeesh!
