Is @westypet un-banned? I just noticed her profile picture is back and no longer says "user banned". Did I miss something? Or???
Ooo, hope so! Last active June 21. What day is it?...
Me too! I miss her humor and all her gifs! Her birth announcement was on the 20th. It's the 23rd now so??? Let's hope it's the case and we hear from her soon.
So, I kind of 'intro'd' myself in the dear blank, please blank thread, but thought I'd do an actual intro here since I'm laying in bed on hour 24 of no sleep, and @SmashJam inspired me.
So, FTM, due June 30th, so you're all vastly ahead of me and I'm jealous. (In my other post I referred to myself as 39 weeks when I was really only 38+5 because I round up in attempts to make myself feel closer than I am, but that's a poorly thought out plan because now I hit 39 weeks and I'm like 'man, I've been 39 weeks FOREVER.')
You're all my favourite because your posts are so organized and everyone here seems to understand science, and logic, and sarcasm. So I'm joining late and don't expect you all to suddenly care deeply about me, but I'm realizing I should have joined in sooner because posting isn't as scary as I thought.
I just found myself wondering if the lady who was gonna pack LED candles actually did so (probably). And also which of the two going home outfits she chose to wear, and which pair of shoes that she packed she wore, as well.
Especially considering I feel like a total fool thinking about checking in at the hospital with a bag. I'm totally leaving it in the car and sending DH down for it later, lol.
Thanks everyone for the sweet words about our not so little boy! Last night was kind of scary because he had so much fluid leftover from being a c section baby and he was coughing and spitting up fluid like mad. It also made him feel full and I was having a hard nursing. Lactation specialist came again today and brought a nipple shield which really helped!
@lwyz welcome! I was a late joiner too but felt very welcomed by all. I love that you pretended to be 39 weeks. That's the kind of mind games I tried to play with myself while pregnant that didn't always work out. I would allow myself to look at the bumps next week video the day before, then two days before... hang in there lady!
@mellymar I was the same way heading to the hospital. Trying to figure out how much I could bring in without looking like a crazy person and what to leave in the car for the hubs to get later. And I probably used seriously about 20% of what I brought. You just can't know ahead of time what to take! But my led candles were definitely part of that 20%.

So excited to see your announcement! He's a cutie!

I wonder how huge her bag was? )
At my hospital's childbirth class they actually told us to leave our bags in the car! They said the only things they wanted to see with us when we arrived was the birthing ball and dad's snack bag. This was great advice, there was no need for anything else during labor and if we'd brought anything else in it would have just taken up space.
The more I think about it, the more I want to call BS on Kate Middleton 8 hour postpartum pictures cause she was all dolled up and looked flawless meanwhile I can't even stand up cause the pressure on my Virginia is something real

TRUTH!!!! I don't care how many professionals helped her. Either she was on amazing drugs or... Total baloney.
Sinus infection. Haven't been sleeping. Due tomorrow. My birthday is also tomorrow. Would love to have this baby on my birthday. Took the fur baby for a walk, eating pineapple, doing the primrose oil thing, and went to target today. Target, work your magic, and get this baby out!
Truly random but @virginiaunicorn11 I was really hoping you'd get LO to stick his tongue out for your photo. My LO sometimes sticks up his ring finger when he nurses and for a second I think he's flipping me off. Need to get a photo of they and finally change the generic temporary image I picked 3 years ago.
Love your photo though, looks like my chunk. As my MIL says "that's a healthy baby."
Supposedly if you make and hold "o" lips at them for 10 seconds they'll imitate. Maybe works with tongue out? I call BS though . . .or my LO is broken.

I have to defend the princess. #2 has been SOOO much easier. I was walking around, put on make-up and generally felt like a rock star 8 hrs later. Big difference between a 3rd degree tear and 1st degree tear. Two stitches are nothing.
So if you're planning on more than one kid, maybe it's something to look forward to? I thought everyone who had a good experience was full of BS after DS. It's amazing the range of normal.
39+5 and my baby's butt is always pointed up and to the right. I have the FUNNIEST odd shaped bump! (Sometimes he'll kick a foot way out to the left, which makes me look even more hilarious.) Anyone else with odd shaped bellies?
DH took DD to the Pirates game for some Daddy-daughter time so it's just me and the little guy hanging out. He's sleeping in his swing and I had all this stuff planned that I was going to do (like pack because we're moving in 6 days!) but honestly I'm just laying on the couch watching TV enjoying the rare time to myself

Works with tongue out with my LO (not always though) - we seriously spend so much time sticking our tongues out at each other haha

every time I'm holding my sleeping baby, the (waaaayyyy out of context) line from the Dave Matthews Band song "Crush" comes into my head: "And I wonder this, could tomorrow be so wondrous as you there sleeping."
I've decided the baby can wait to come out. I just received the complete Dawson's Creek series on DVD and tomorrow is my last day working from home before maternity leave. So my daughter can just stay put till mid-July. No hurting my feelings anymore girlie!! I'm gonna sit here and relive my junior high + high school years with a massively pregnant belly.
@mommaswizz I JUST started rewatching Dawson's Creek today also, but have only made it through the first episode so far! I can't believe how they talk...I don't think I sound that smart now, haha.
I went to drop off lunch for my husband a work today and the security guard at his job congratulated me on the baby going in and then when I was leaving he stopped me and told me to wrap my stomach tight so it goes back to normal and to wash my "thing" with hot water. Yes, he called it my thing.

Lmfao... Wow, so many thoughts.. 1) my body is not your business 2) my vagina is so not your business I've completely disassociated from the rest of my body because it's so far outside the scope of your business that you shouldn't even know I HAVE one 3) why don't you go wash your 'thing' in acid, you misogynistic ass

My fiancé sent me this today! Makes me excited to watch him during labor... If I even care at that point!
P.s. Labor? What's that? I feel like I'm pregnant 4lyfe.
