How are these appointments going? Dish on dilating and effacement and all things doctor appointments! Had your baby already? Let's hear how your postpartum check ups are going!

    Due date is today and tomorrow I have an apt to see how things are progressing, hopefully they are moving along (last week I was 2cm and 60% effaced and baby was at -2) Come on little man!! I have another week before i agreed to consider an induction so still just waiting. *twiddles thumbs*

    Had another NST today. Everything's normal, now just to see if I make it to 42 week appointment Thursday in which case I'll be induced Friday I think. MEH.

    Due tomorrow, having contractions for the past several weeks only progressed to 2 cm dialated 60% effaced. Being induced Friday if she won't come by then.

    I was due today (the 22nd)... No signs of anything happening yet though! My 39 week appointment on Thursday had shown no changes from the prior appointment - 50% effaced and not dialated at all. And so we wait....

    @SmashJam did it hurt getting your membrane swept? I have a feeling my dr might suggest that today to try and get things going. I'm 40+1 today. I may just tell him to wait though.

    @rachelkaylene the only part that hurt were her knuckles digging in to my pubic bone as she was trying to do it-the actual finger in the cervix wasn't too awful.

    40+1 apt today and I am 3cm and 50% effaced. Did a membrane sweep to hopefully encourage little man to make his debut. Scheduled for a NST next Monday if baby hasn't come by then. Praying baby decides to come before next week.

    Had my NST and ultrasound today. LO passed with flying colors. I had about 4 contractions and they mentioned he is very low, which he has been for weeks now. The nurses mentioned I likely won't be back for a 42 week NST next week, but they've been saying he'll be here shortly at every appt. For whatever reason, LO is very content in there. I have my regular Dr apt for my 41 week check tomorrow. Hopefully she will let us set an induction date!

    @rsalata2015 hopefully he comes soon! I had my first membrane sweep today (40+1) and I'm hoping it helps him along soon.

    Had my 40+1 today and 80% effaced but still only 1.5cm for third week in a row. Baby now weighs approx 8 lbs according to the u/s. Was 6 lbs 5 oz at 36wk. I feel there is no way I'm carrying an 8lb kid- feel much smaller. Induction date set in a week 6/30. I'm now scared about having an 8.5 lbs baby! Disappointed now- mixed feelings.

    @rachelkaylene. I just want you to know I love your name. It's mine also. Today was my second membrane sweep. I swear she was up in there for four minutes. It didn't hurt just the knuckles digging into me was uncomfortable. The way it felt and sounded was like nails on a chalk board to me. That's the part that made me queasy. I haven't progressed since last week. Hopefully that long uncomfortable membrane sweep is effective. Good luck to all of you ladies being induced and going into labor!!!

    @slr1229 ultrasounds are usually over by up to a pound so don't worry too much about having an 8 pound baby. Try and stay positive, you'll have your miracle in your arms any day now :)

    @rsalata2015 awe yay! Always nice to find a fellow Rachel. I totally agree about the membrane sweep, not painful but when I felt his knuckle I squirmed a little. Really hoping this starts labor sometime soon. I want to avoid an induction though we agreed I wouldn't be induced unless I reached 42 weeks.
    Sending positive thoughts of labor your way in hopes your sweep gets your little one going.

    It drives me crazy that the nurses keep saying that I "won't be back" or "hopefully we won't see you"-because I am always back, haha. Here's hoping our babies will come before our 42 week appts, although I keep telling people he wants to be sensational by being part of the like, 2% of babies that come after 42 weeks.

    40 weeks today, i'm 2 cm 50% effaced. So at least im progressing ,and hopefully he comes before I get induced next week.

    @kmama2013 sending positive thoughts your way!! And way to go on the progression, I mean I know we really don't have control over it but it always makes me feel accomplished when I hear my body is progressing haha

    @rachelkaylene thanks! Yes I feel like ive accomplished something. With my first I was 1 cm until a few hours after I went into labor so 2 to me is definitely a good sign! Or I tell myself that it is :D

    I had my 40w3d appointment today, doctor said I'm almost 2 centimeters, he did a sweep, more aggressive than last week's lol then he sent me over to the hospital for a nst which went well, the nurse said it was a beautiful nst and that I have a very happy baby. Then she left to go call the doctor to see what he wants to do & they kept me, so currently I'm sitting in this uncomfortable bed that is hurting my ass lol on a saline drip waiting for them to give me cydotec
