@karlimeliss my sister was a nurse on a maternity floor as well and helped me so much with the trials and tribulations of breastfeeding (over the phone). I'm so thankful I have her. We didn't live in the same state at the time but we do now and I can't wait for her to be at my side this time :-) My husband was my saving grace with my first child. He just knew what angle and knew the timing of when to get my boy latched on. He really was my rock and had to remind me that me and my son were both learning. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, but I made it a year and I'm so thankful. And with my second baby he latched right on and we both were good as gold and I was able to give him breastmilk for a year as well :-)

  • Thank you to all that have shared and discussed you concerns, positive thoughts, difficulties, and previous experiences. I am generally impressed with the respectful sharing of this information, since many are passionate about the topic and many in our cultures have treated it as taboo. As a FTM, I am somewhat nervous and feel empowered to read the diverse perspectives and experiences.
