  • I have so much pressure I'm just sitting on the toilet in tears right now. This cannot be normal?!!

@klkonwi I'm so sorry. That sounds awful. Maybe a call into the doc.... just to check? Especially if it has you in tears.

I had true bloody show two days ago..... And this pressure is horrible. But no contractions painful enough to go in and so I don't want to bother my doc. I just really wish I HAD bothered him earlier today..... If anything for some reassurance. This pressure is god awful...... I wish I knew what the hell is actually going on. If I'm going into labor soon or this is just regular torture.
I leak pee frequently during these run to the bathroom to sit during this pressure. I know it's not my water...... It's pee.

I do hope it's not "regular torture" and you don't have to go through this much longer! :(

  • Slept in after my bout of insomnia. Thank god! Now I have a constant ache and pressure on the lower half of my uterus. Like I did 2000 crunches yesterday. DH is fixing the hot tub today so I can float around and see if I can "RELAX" this baby out of me.

  • Miserable as usual and cranky from everyone asking if i feel any different..i just want to say screw off! I will let u know when something changes!! Ugh so irritating!

  • I am waddling and I just can't stop. I was able to fake a normal walk for awhile, but this bowling ball in my crotch and swollen legs made that impossible.

I'm also have trouble with bathroom issues. I'm all stopped up. Obviously, labor isn't near because isn't your body supposed to clear out beforehand?
  • Okay uterus...it is time to poop or get off the pot! These cramps suck, and have me on the verge of going crazy. The insomnia does not help. So please, let's make a deal, either just let me be and this baby bake or let's be productive!

@mellymar Yeah my family and friends keep saying I need to go in and get my cervix checked due to all the painful pressure..... I'm going in tomorrow night for induction so I want to just suffer through it......but I don't wAnt to either..... What the Frick.
This is awful. I even had my DH go get some pyridium (urinary relief for bladder spasms OTC) to see if maybe the pressure/pain was a UTI or spasms.......
@HayesRN13 or @dancegurl1118 what's your advice? ...... Be miserable or do I need to go in and get checked?

  • @klkonwi yeah I've been wondering if maybe I could be developing a uti as a result of not being able to completely empty my bladder because of pressure. OR if this is just a totally normal thing and I'm being a big ass wussy about it. Today is a little better, but I also haven't drank anywhere near the proper amount of water yet today, so it becomes a question of drink the water I'm supposed to or actually be comfortable when trying to pee? Despite myself, I just keep imagining a rock pinching a hose shut, and the image does not help my state of mind.

If I can find a bright side, maybe this pressure will help dilate. :-??

  • 39+5 went for a walk today and been using my exercise ball daily. They both bring about contractions but they never last more than a couple hours. Baby boy is just not wanting to leave his cozy waterbed yet. Hopefully soon!

Have any of y'all's contractions shot down upper thigh? I was brushing my teeth and one shot down and made me stop what I was doing...inner right thigh? So weird

    Edited: realized sciatic nerve pain.

  • Wide awake at 4:30 feeling guilty for going out of work earlier this week. I'm taking 12 weeks through a combination of disability and FMLA. I wanted to work up until delivery in order to have as much time as possible with baby. At 39+3 the doc thought it was best to stop working due to swelling and fatigue. I was 50% and 1cm for two weeks and she thought rest may help me go naturally. Now, almost a week later, I feel so guilty for taking this past week to myself and not having more time with LO. I know it's important for me to rested and that it was getting harder to work, but I could have powered through. Everyone tells me to relax and that I'll never have child free time to myself, but I can't help but think I made the wrong choice! I'm sure this is the first of many times I'll second guess myself as a momma...

  • @courtyowl427 don't feel bad at all. You need some time to yourself! Your life is about to change and while for the better your about to experience something beautiful but painful and you deserve some time to yourself.
  • Woke up at 430am with cramps and a full bladder. Went pee but still felt crampy. Went out to the living room so I didn't wake the husband and have been timing the contractions for almost an hour and they are about 8 mins apart and 50 secs long. Let's hope this continues!
  • Up half the night with the period - like cramps. Think I lost my mucus plug in parts, some of which was a little bloody, and I've been seeing pink when I wipe. The cramps continue but aren't consistent yet. Due tomorrow and had big fat nothing going on at my appointment Friday...hopefully we'll get stuff moving today. I need to force myself to move around but I'm having trouble getting out of bed. Boo.
