Team Green turned a very surprised Blue on Saturday, June 6, at 10:56 pm! Baby boy is named for my beloved grandfather who passed away in September, and DH is thrilled the family name now has an "heir", lol. My birth plan was to have a baby, and try for an unmedicated water birth. The baby part happened, and that's enough. Despite a not-easy birth, I am feeling so much better not being pregnant! And baby bliss is real - our cups runneth over, and my worries have faded, though now hyper focused on the little guy.
Looking forward to jumping back into the discussions in another day or two. Hope everyone is doing well! xo
Braydon James arrived 6/4 at 10:18am. He tipped the scales at 6lbs 13oz and 19" long. Labor and delivery was a piece of cake after a very successful induction. Only an hour of labor, and one push and this little guy joined his big brother and 5 older sisters.
Ramona Everly born June 2 at 6:25 pm. Water broke at 39 weeks 4 days at 5 am - one of many at the hospital (they blame the full moon). 1 hour of pushing and, all in all, a great birth experience. She was 7.5 pounds and 20 inches long. We are home now and she's breastfeeding like a pro ❤
Hi folks! I've been off the grid for a couple of weeks, my apologies. I was induced at 37+4 due to high blood pressure. We welcomed miss Jeanette Deborah on May 27 at 5:53pm. She weighed 6lbs, 10oz, 19 1/2 inches long.
Alice Louise was born today 6lbs 10oz. 38 weeks 2 days. Woke up at 1am with contractions 3 mins apart. Gave birth at 8:34am with two pushes. Placenta had ruptured 45% so there was hemorrhaging and blood in her lungs. Everything turned out fine though.
Zachary James was welcomed into the world on June 8 weighing 8lb 3oz, 20.5" long. He is the perfect completion to our family And joins his big brother and sister. His birth was the most stressful of my births!
Garren Declan was born 6/9 at 8:31am this morning. He was 8lbs 3 oz scheduled C-section everything went well except for my PTSD breakdown going in. So excited for our 4 year old to meet him
Cooper Philip born 6/8 at 5:07 pm, weighing 8lbs 4 oz and 20.75 in. Successful induction and labor but he got stuck on my tailbone during delivery and it was quite a marathon but he made it out amazingly without a c section. We are over the moon!
Miss Malani was born 6/9 at 11:41am at 37weeks via Csection due to hypertension and GD weighing at 6lbs 5oz Nursed like a champ but needs a little help with oxygen so currently in Nicu for observation. And yay they let me hold her skin to skin. Will post more pics after
"Baby L" was born this morning at 8:08am after a very long 23.5 hour induced labor. It was a very rough experience for baby and mom. We are both doing fine now. He is 8 pounds 7 ounces and 21 inches long. Working on breastfeeding, but he has a great latch already!
Our Norah Quinn was born today June 9th at 3:15 in the afternoon. She weighs 7 pounds 1.4 ounces and is 20.5 inches long with a full head of hair! My labor and delivery was quick and trouble-free; I only pushed for 45 minutes! I don't think reality has hit me yet, but I'm holding my beautiful baby and I'm just in awe. She is so perfect!
Piper Willow entered the world today at 2:40PM. She's a petite little thing weighing 5lbs 13oz and 18in long. We had a scheduled induction at 3am and was going great, but she didn't want to come out. Her heart rate was dropping when my contractions got too close. After a few hours of attempting to progress, we ended with a csection. LO is doing amazingly well and is such a good baby! Mommy is exhausted and really sore but overwhelmed with happiness and love :x I can't believe this day is finally here!
Colin was born on June 8th. I was scheduled to be induced on Thursday the 11th, but he had other plans. Came to the hospital at around 12:30 AM and he was born at 12:55 PM. Labor went fast but I pushed for an hour and a half. Colin's heart rate kept dropping. It ended up that the cord was wrapped around his neck. He's doing great, and we're headed home tomorrow. Love him so, so much!
Our twins made their big debut at 36 +2! I started timing contractions on Wed., Jun 3rd at 8 PM. I know the moms waiting to deliver are probably looking up L&D stories so here's a quick breakdown of how it happened for me:
8:30 PM - Contractions 30 seconds long, about 10 mins apart
11 PM - Contractions 6 mins apart
12 AM - Get to L&D, dilated to 4.5 cm
3 AM - Waddling around for a while dilates me to 5 cm, admitted. Wait for labor to progress
5 AM - Dilated to 6 cm, contractions start to come every 2 minutes, get epidural. Contractions COMPLETELY STOP
7 AM - Doc breaks twin A's water
9 AM - Still no contractions & still dilated to 6 cm, start pitocin. Increase dosage every half hour until I'm fully dilated
11 AM - Fully dilated, wheeled back to OR. Husband talks me through the craziest experience I've ever had
11:29 AM - Madeline June is born 6 lbs 1 oz 19" long
11:37 AM - John Hayden is born via breech vaginal presentation 6 lbs 9 oz 20" long
Johnny was jaundice & had really low blood sugar, but we're all home, happy & healthy now! Their (18 month old) big brother is so excited over their arrival & is generous with the hugs & kisses every chance he gets.
Colin James was born on June 9 (due date was June 15) following a scheduled induction due to high amount of amniotic fluid. My third son came into the world following a vaginal delivery topping the scales at 9lbs, 5oz and 21 1/4 inches. We are so thrilled to add another healthy boy to our family. Congratulations to all of the new mothers!
Blake was born 6/9 at 12:47pm; 8lbs 3oz and 21 inches long.
I went in for an induction at 41 weeks only to find out that he had unexpectedly flipped and was breech. The doctor scheduled a c-section for noon and everything was smooth sailing.
He is absolutely amazing and we are totally in love!
My girls are here! They arrived Monday at 37 weeks 5 days and are healthy and beautiful! I started feeling contractions at 10:30, they got crazy hard at about noon, and they girls were here before 3. It was so fast and picture perfect. Now we're just working on breastfeeding and sleeping haha
Edited to add: the dark haired beauty is Hannah Lynn (7lb3oz) and my blondie is Cecily Rose (6lb)
Claire Elia (6lb15oz) and Eli Kristian (6lb3oz) team green twins, arrived Monday, June 8 via C-section at 37w3d. All are doing well. Experiencing a love we never knew existed (and also an exhaustion we never knew existed).
Congrats to you other mamas, and good luck to those waiting! It'll be well worth the wait...
Spencer Clayton was born on 6/10/15 at 11:16 pm. 8.4 pounds and 23 inches long. Started induction at 7:30 pm Tuesday and decided to go in for a c-section on Wednesday at 10:30 pm because he just did not want to drop. Turns out his cord was wrapped around his neck twice! Mommy and baby are doing well. Must say the nurses and doctors at Good Samaritan in Downers Grove Illinois are AMAZING! I could not have had a better experience!
Noah Raymond arrived on 6/10/15 at 3:06pm weighing in at 8lbs 1oz and measuring 22in long and born with a full head of dark hair! After going in on Wednesday at 6am for a scheduled induction things progressed pretty quickly after the dr broke my water around noon (waited for 4 hours because antibiotics were given for GBS+). I only had to push for 20 minutes before he was here so I had a very easy labor and delivery! We are all doing well and we are so excited to have our little guy here with us ;;)
Izabella Antonella was born June 8th at 2.51pm weighing in at 6 lbs 13oz 19 inches long. She was born 39 weeks 5 days and my labor was fast 8 hours 15minutes of pushing.we got home last night .we are well
Aiden Kevin Syrus was born at 8:34 am 6/6/15. He was 2.48kg. I started feeling contractions earlier the day before but at 11:45pm on the Friday I was done with the pains but at the hospital was the worse. No pain meds nothing. I had to express my pain. Then at 8:34 he was here full head of hair and nursing like a champ. The whole hospital heard me bawling. Lol
River Daniel born 12 days early on May 25. 7 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches. I still hurt thinking about how the epidural didn't work and I had a second degree tear, but I see his face and he makes it all worth it.
Aurora Hope made her debut on June 5, 2015 at 11:58am. My water broke on her due date 6/3 and there was no sign of active labor besides a few bh contractions. After 36 hours of labor and 2 1/2 hours of pushing she was finally here. She is perfect and so worth it all!
Henry Merrill was born on June 10 at 2:41pm. Went to my 39 week appointment on June 8 and they found my fluid level was too low and send me straight over to be induced. Started at 5:00pm and 43 hours later took me in for a C-section. After my Ob said next one is straight for a C because my pelvis is too small. Hank was 8.9 lbs and 21 inches long. We have a few more days in the hospital and I have had some complications that have made going home ASAP not an option. Besides that Daddy is amazing and Hank is perfect.
Dominic Stephen born on his due date 6/11 @11:19am. 7lbs, 20.75". Contractions woke me up at 3am and at 1030a,suddenly went from 5 to 2 minutes apart. Was feeling the urge to push while walking inside the hospital! Someone rushed this screaming mommy up to L&D in a wheelchair and baby was here 60seconds/2 pushes later. It was insane, but Mommy and baby are doing well. What an amazing gift God has blessed us with!
Olivia Elsie Francis was born early Wednesday morning (June 10th) at 4:08am. I was 39 w and 5 days along. She was 7 lbs. 4 oz. and 21 inches long! I'll try to post some pix. My hubbs and i can't stop looking at her! We're in complete awe...
Stellan Frank was born at 6:00pm after 3 and a half hours of pitocin induced labor after dr broke my water, and 20 minutes of pushing. He's 22.5 inches and 9.02 pounds and I'm shocked to say I did it without pain meds. After much concern and deliberation about induction, I can say I'm glad I did it; he's such a big guy already and it was hard on us both getting out. We're both recovering well, working on boob time, he's just wiped! I didn't want an induction, but I did get the natural birth I wanted. My DH and I were straightforward with our doc and told her exactly what we wanted, which was unusual for me (pushover), but it was absolutely worth the hard talk and all of the pain.
ETA: correct spelling because the shakes are real and make me type poorly!

Labored about 12 hours but only about 4.5 at hospital from arrival at OB ER to delivery. It was definitely a whirlwind.
Henry is just precious and we are so in love he is feeding like a champ and has handled all he assessments with ease. Heading home tomorrow evening.
