I'm glad I'm not the only one frustrated with some of these posts. If they are real, I seriously feel sorry for their unborn children. Get a clue, read a book, or get a life. So stabby today.
Finally relocated to my moms as of yesterday for the duration/delivery/week after birth and upon arriving I see my step dad decided now is a good time to GUT THE BATHROOM AND COMPLETELY REDO IT! Dust and dirt everywhere, my room filled with paint and drop cloths and tools.. Piled up in front of the pack and play. Seriously guys? You don't think the pregnant lady would like a functional toilet and bath for her labor?

First day of maternity leave. 38 + 5. I'm bored. Trying to find a way to relax without just feeling like a slug. Think I might go for a manicure and pedicure, but that requires taking a shower and making an appointment! Plus I don't have any razors - how is that possible? Can't get a pedicure without shaving my legs. So I lay in bed. Hope this baby isn't late, I don't know what I'll do until then! Rethinking my leave plan.

Men. They just do not get it sometimes. I had to have a crying fit/complete breakdown to get DH to put together the baby gear, and was assigned SIL airport duty yesterday. And @mellymar had to deal with a random boys night party at her house last night. I wish there were something effective to say to these guys, like, "can you think about your timing, here?? Is this really a good idea??"

In other news - my sister sent me a box of some more baby stuff. I knew there was a baby carrier (baby Bjorn) and a diaper bag in there, but as I'm grunting and fumbling and slamming the box into the door as I'm maneuvering it inside (it WAS manageable, ladies, I was just trying to make as much fuss and noise as possible to annoy DH) I hear this random voice from somewhere. I look across the street thinking my neighbor is talking to me from over there... Nope. I get inside and shut the door and there is a creepy little child's voice singing coming from toy she must have packed inside the box. It was totally a moment I would associate with a haunted child's toy in a horror movie.
@Westypet nooo you ended up doing the airport run? I'd mark that down as a big iou in the ledger from FIL SIL and DH.
I stayed in bed for most of the day yesterday, and didn't have to entertain her, so it wasn't bad. I didn't put on clothes (wore pjs) to drive her to the airport at 5, and she did make a comment asking me if I "was going to put a bra on" to drive her to the airport. I was wearing a nursing sleeping bra. Sorry if I'm not upright enough for you! Other than that, she was sweet.
Her flight ended up being cancelled, so DH got her last night, she spent the night again, and we put her in a cab at 4AM this morning.

totally in the same place with this one. from what my sister said the hospital pretty mich provides everything, so all i would need to bring is entertainment, clothes and toiletries. so i have nothing packed cause im still using it all.
so after waking up, i just layed in bed. somehow for 6 hours without getting up once. crazy how your body acts when youre sad.
Sidenote: i might just make these for dinner.. cause im eating alone again, and im an adult right? would switch the marshmallows for pineapple though. never really liked marshmallows.

I'm pretty sure if my best friend was ever planning on having kids I just scared her out of it. I had my first contraction that I couldn't breath through while at her house today, poor girl was in tears and here I was trying to signal to her that I was alright.
Thank the lord we have threads like this one and the angry pregnant ladies thread. They feel like a safe zone from all the randoms. Also so happy for @devyns2nd congrats lady!

I know this one was real... Original use of Lysol as a douche/form of birth control. I can think of very few things more harmful than putting LYSOL IN YOUR VAGINA. This is why I am always skeptical of new products/why I don't take beauty advice from my grandmother.

Balls! I wish! Samurai is fuzzy enough to be a wookie, but he doesn't have the right coloring. Silt is all black and it would work, cause he's a cranky bastard, but he's gotten skinnier with old age and his coat is very slick so he wouldn't look like a wookie at all.

I got it....it doesn't get extremely hot here, but let me tell you how hot a house can get when it's in the upper 80s low 90s and there's no AC! This east coast girl can't take it!

When I lived there I felt the same way. It's usually manageable, but there's some times when is just ISN'T. Like here, not many places have AC. Its usually manageable, but right now, I'd like to have AC. Just a touch.
@mellymar Yea its not bad on most days....but the few times it has gotten "hot" I can't take it. My husband keeps telling me its because I'm pregnant and I'll probably be fine once it's all over, which he's probably right. I just really like AC. First world problems for sure.
@Zeuskay01 I know...... I feel sort of bad now !!! But she said she is going to bring it up to her doctor so that should help put some knowledge in her brain when the doctor says, no!

It's been about 20 degrees hotter than average in Seattle the past weeks, so it's not just you (of course the average is like 61 or something). At least it cools down at night, and it's not humid. I like it! The whole city goes through a mini freak out when it gets over 80 for a few days. No fans to be found in the stores, etc. My sister's down in Oregon, though, and it's been in the mid-90s where she is. That is too much. It's beautiful here today, though!
@Frogger5 I'm near Seattle so its the same over here! I'm glad I bought a couple fans because they seem hard to come by after this past week. I've absolutely loved the weather outside recently, it just makes it a little uncomfortable inside the house. I agree, Today is definitely beautiful day !!
I'm currently debating going to the pool. I want to swim. Well, I want to float - how heavenly would that be? Floating.... Just drifting.... But I'm afraid the whole world will look at me and I'll see it in their eyes - "omg that chick is HUGE! Get out of the way, when she gets in there will be a tsunami!" :-<
@mellymar People definitely did ask me questions and stare but I did not care. The children at the pool were loud and annoying like normal children is the only downside to going! I am going to choose to try and nap instead of going today I've decided!!!
