@klkonwi I didn't buy anything pump related in advance- going to wait and see what I need since it could all be so up in the air regarding bfing.
It's our last night in our apartment before baby (relocating tomorrow to mom's) and I don't think I'm going to sleep at all. To make matters worse I have to go get a NJ drivers license early tomorrow morning. Just what I want, my license picture for the next four years to be taken at 39+3... So attractive. :-B
But here's a question, when they ask my weight for my license what on earth should I say?! Pre preg was 155, now I'm pushing 200... But I don't want that on my license forever!
Question..... Did everyone go buy the fancy hands free pumping bra? I was planning on doing the cut the holes in the sports bra due to large boobs and not wanting to order on the internet to be disappointed that it's too small and suffocates me........ Lol Am I being dumb? Is this something I need to purchase?
This is completely preferential, but I found pumping both sides at the same time actually took longer and was more uncomfortable. Pumping goes a lot faster if you massage while you pump and sometimes there was one side of a book that had more milk than the other, so I was constantly adjusting the flange to make sure I got it all. If I just stuck two flanges on, they would suction but not get much milk, leading to sore nipples, unempty boobs, and eventually a plugged duct.
For me, it was faster to do one at a time so I never used the fancy bra. Those pictures of women pumping with the bra and working on the computer are total BS.
Side note: Looking at pics of your LO while pumping really does help letdown.
Ermagerd. The driver's license center should be considered a separate circle of hell. I'm going to miss my OB appointment three hours from now because of this shiz.
Do any other cat moms notice that their cats won't leave them alone lately? My Helen (who is normally very independent and sort of standoffish) will not leave my side. If I go in a room and she can't get to me, she freaks out. She is also letting me pet her, which never happens. I think she knows the baby is coming soon!
When my dog does this to me, I always assume I am going to have some sort of medical emergency too! So far nothing, which is good, but it freaks me out.
@serenamarr i'm in jersey and i'm pretty sure they didnt ask for weight. I might have moved out of this state immediately if they did lol
Oh they did. I wrote down my pre preg weight and I dare anyone to ask otherwise.
Wow!! I'm so surprised!! I went last august to get my license done after i got married and i totally don't remember. It's definitely not printed on the driver's license so that's good at least. lol
My FIL called to check if he could come by to pick up his grill and I was like "Great, come by, I have to run errands but I'm home for a bit now" so he comes over, sits on the couch and asks for a beer. He's a recovering alcoholic and I'm super NOT comfortable with him drinking but he's a grown man and I don't feel its my place to say no. An hour and a half and a couple of beers later he's still sitting on the couch and we're not really even talking. My apartment is covered in baby stuff and I have no idea where the remote is so we cant even have the TV on. He's also a big smoker and at one point he started coughing and his face turned all red and he wasn't breathing and was falling slowly to the floor and I was THIS close to calling 911 but then he started getting up on his own. oooooookaayyy, time for my husband to come home from work now!!!!!!!!!
ETA: he left and my husband never made it home on time and the last maybe 30 minutes was of me answering emails and us kind of sitting in silence. I hate being rude but I was just so uncomfortable.

I recently had to get a new license as well. When they asked how much I weighed I just told them that I was pregnant and proffered that they used the weight listed on my precious license. They were totally ok with that!
Hi all! Just wanted to get a comment in to say I've been enjoying laughing a learning what others are going through and reading some good advice. My bump app is being lame (although updated) so it keeps logging me out and I'm not able to "love it" and even comment sometimes. I've been demoted to Lurker by default ha! Anyway, I hope everyone's doing well while waiting for their Los and enjoying their new Los too! I'm still waiting and having crazy contractions and pains thay get like 2 mins apart for hours then nothing. Been a fun few days today has been good though!
I'm hoping that thread just dies. Told DH about it and he laughed and said "she's pregnant what does she expect her stomach to do? Get flabby instead?"
I swear tomorrow we should all just start our own individual symptom threads. It can be speshul unicorn snowflake day.
Mine will say: is it normal for me to be such an impatient mega beast with the lady obsessed with her darkening anal? HELP!!!
I've been annoyed with just about everything today...logging on and seeing all these random posters and see the same topics that get discussed over and over and over and OVER again is really driving me crazy. I think I'll have to log off and come back with higher hopes for tomorrow.
....and that is for all the people asking the same questions.
Boom...Ready for my induction in five hours!!! Ill sleep one day right? At least I'm shaved and lotioned and painted and semi prepared. Part of me wants to back out because I've done this before and I'm realizing no matter what I'm about to do it again...I mean the pain. I totally can't wait to see my sweet boy!!!
P.s. Also, my 11-month old learned to walk in the last week, and she's nuts! She's so fast and has a new sass/attitude about her. I can't leave her alone for a minute. Sooo, I just spent an hour reading all 270-something posts in this thread!
@house86 and @devyns2nd good luck ladies !! So happy to hear birth announcements....now if my little girl would make an appearance that'd be greaaaatttt !
