Daily Symptoms Check In June 8--all symptoms posts here!

Good morning! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. How is everyone feeling?

My MS is back pretty harsh (9+1) and I had to have crackers at 2am lol. Otherwise, still uncomfortable and emotional :)

GTKY: What is the strangest thing, so far, someone has said to you when you told them your were pregnant?

Mine was this weekend. I was asked if this was planned. Um, yes stranger who was listening to my conversation, me and my DH of 3 years have been planning this. Kthxbye. Even if it wasn't, who asks that kind of question? 8-|

Re: Daily Symptoms Check In June 8--all symptoms posts here!

  • My symptoms have been pretty quite for the last few days which has me irked but I'm just hoping that I'm lucky. I have a scan on Wednesday so I'll know whats up then. GTKY: When we told my MIL we were expecting she exclaimed "OH I hope it's a boy!", seriously? As if having a granddaughter would be a disappointment? I am not one for sex preference and it rubbed me the wrong way to say the least. She has several granddaughters already but also has a grandson so there was no excuse for that in my mind.

I haven't pooped in 3 days and obviously that's making me feel bloated. The nausea has been mostly gone for the last couple days but I hope I'm just lucky on that one

I'm 9 weeks and the nausea and vomiting are still here in full force. I'm praying and hoping it goes away soon. I've been pretty miserable.

GTKY: We've only told our parents. They are thrilled, but now they won't leave me alone. Everyday I get a text asking for a full report of how I'm feeling. It's thoughtful, but I DON'T FEEL WELL.... it'd be nice to report something different for a change.
  • This is my first pregnancy (7w3d) and I never expected that my MS would last ALL DAY. It's so bad. Eating makes me want to vomit and not eating makes me want to vomit. The only relief I have is from water with lemon and bananas. After that it's still lingering around.
I also feel really tired, lazy, and bloated, especially bloated after I eat (don't know if that's actually due to pregnancy or if it's all in my mind lol).
I'm also super emotional. Thanks hormones.
GTKY: My FIL was talking to me after we told him the news and he said that in his opinion it should be a boy. He says, "I'm old fashioned and think that the boy should come first and then the girl. But that's just me." For some reason this just irritated me. He said it in a way like he was going to be disappointed with us if we had a girl first. Hate to break it to him but I can't really push any buttons and make this thing a boy. Probably not that big of a deal but the "old fashioned" ways aren't really for me and my husband.
  • @kimber308 oh my gosh, my mother is doing that too!! I feel pregnant ma, but thanks for asking every hour

Im 7w 2d and havent had any morninh sickness yet and don't expect to sincei didn't have any with my first either. If I wait too long to eat I get fatigued and nauseous. My breasts are huge! And nipples are sore. My bloating has finally subsided so I'm thankful. I do have a tiny baby bump and have gained 3 lbs so far. I chalk it up to me being pregnant with twins. I'm happy and I tire easily but still am not sleeping well. I wake up every night for at least an hour.

My morning sickness is getting worse.  I'm throwing up multiple times a day every day.  Eating makes me sick.  Not eating makes me sick.  I feel weak and tired.  These next 5 weeks can't go fast enough.  I just want to get to 2nd Tri.

GTKY: No awkward questions yet.  We've only told 3 people so far.

I feel like I'm experiencing the exact same thing as you. Here's to hoping it gets better for both of us soon. :-/

OMG I feel so incredibly bloated after I eat that it's unreal! This is our third pregnancy (we have one son- second was MC) and I am exhausted at 6w3d and the bloating is something I did not experience with my first pregnancy. Also I feel like I already have a belly that should be my belly at 12w :-S but I am just happy to be blessed and praying for positive outcome this time. We have only told our parents bc of our loss earlier this year and they were excited. I really want to just shout it from the rooftops but trying to hold out til 12w but might not be able to if this belly keeps growing. Plus I'll be telling my boss soon since I work with X-ray in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
  • Feeling tired.  I've been taking like 2 hour naps every day, so I feel like I'm not getting a lot done around the house.  Not feeling sick, but I feel like I'm constantly hungry.  Oh, also super constipated despite drinking tons of water, eating fibrous foods and yogurt.  Blegh.

  • My ackward question or opinion I should say was that I am going to get super fat. Yeah, very nice thing to say to a pregnant woman and this was from a woman who is already overweight.

I started feeling better the end of this last week, but not good enough to make me worry!  I still randomly gag about something at least once a day and the boob soreness has gotten worse, but the all consuming exhaustion has let up a bit and my sex drive is picking up again (the SO is thanking his lucky stars!)

Strangest reaction was from a close friend.  She said "congrats! But for selfish reasons, oh no, not you too!"

  • Symptoms are pretty tame today, my boobs are really sore but MS has been at bay for a few days so my fingers are crossed that it won't come back.

GTKY: When we told my mom she kind of stood there for a few moments, asked if we were lying and then said, "What Happened?!"

We told everyone we werent going to start trying until after my sisters wedding in October, so this pregnancy wasn't exactly planned. But nonetheless, we're 25, married and have a house so I was pretty emotional that she was so concerned about the timing.

She did start getting excited a few moments later when it finally hit her that's she's gonna be a grandma again.
  • Still nauseous all day but haven't thrown up in almost a week! Still having weird dreams that I don't really remember. I have finally figured out something that allows me to sleep though. I'm sleeping laying across the foot of the bed. Sleeping in a weird spot has helped with insomnia in the past so I gave it a shot and have slept so much better the past 3 nights. I don't know why it works but I'll take it. Even with the better sleep, I'm still fatigued and short of breath though.

GTKY: We've only told 3 people so far so no weird reactions. I'm expecting some "Was it planned?" inquiries just because I was opposed to having kids for years. We're telling my parents and brother on Father's Day and my in-laws the following week.
  • @willashbaby my MIL said the same thing!! Except she doesn't have any granddaughters...yet. I have been taking fertility meds so having multiples is a huge possibility. I hope I have twin girls just for her sake.... (;

7w2d and nausea feeling has gone away the past few days. Not missing it at all. But constipation is still in force :/ but enjoying this pregnancy! Such a blessing (: first U/S is this Wednesday. Super excited.
  • I was a little worried this morning when I didn't feel sick right away. Haven't thrown up but lots of neasea. Took the dog for a walk after a light breakfast and now neasea is back full force. I'm worried because I'm almost to the week that my first baby measured when I lost it. So I was even more worried when I felt fine this morning that this won't be my rainbow baby.

Gtky: I haven't had any weird remarks yet...but maybe someday!
  • 7w3d. This is our first pregnancy but we've been trying for nearly 2 years so it's a huge blessing. I was complaining last week that other than sore boobs I didn't feel prego, but karma got me this week. I've been nauseous and haven't been able to eat anything. I want to call my mom for advice but she doesn't know yet. We plan on telling both parents this weekend.

Anything you ladies do to keep nausea at bay?

No weird questions yet - only my hubby knows
  • I've been feeling consistently queasy, but I hesitate to call it morning sickness, since it has yet to make me vom *knockonwood*. Eating carbs seems to help, but I can't spent 24/7 eating carbs or I will be the most constipated and fattest human!

This upcoming weekend I have an out of town wedding I have to fly to, and I'm nervous about getting on a plane feeling this way, I'm still hoping to keep my streak of keeping it down...

    GTKY: Haven't told anybody yet!

  • First baby. Morning sickness all day for 3 weeks. Tired all the time. Orange juice helps a lot and watermelon with a dash of salt. I'm hating anything sweet except ice cream. Constipated for 2-3 days in a row but then again eating food is tough with a very sensitive stomach. I cry before every meal because I'm starving but I'm nauseous. Husband is doing great soothing me at those times. Eating small meals every few hours helps. I have a full time desk job so bringing food with me everyday is necessary. Wish I could be home sleeping all week.

Haven't told anyone yet. 1st appointment tomorrow. <:-P
  • I've thrown up twice today, once taking my prenatal and the next time changing my sons diaper. What a day. :(
    6w5d
  • No MS this morning, kind of nauseated when I take my prenatal which is normal for me. My back pain is killer! Lower back and right at the tailbone! Does anyone else have this problem? 9 weeks 2 days.
My first appointment is in 10 days finally!

No one has really commented on anything weird. Went to Oklahoma this weekend and told the inlaws. They cried. It was the best reaction.

Oh my the bloat!! Towards the end of the night I feel like I should be waddling already. With my first I didn't start to show until after 20 weeks. Crazy how pregnancy is so different each time!
  • I've noticed I only have nausea if I eat something sweet or greasy the day before. The heartburn and bloating are the big kickers.

GTKY: people always ask if it was planned. A couple people just gave me a sad look and said I will have my hands full since DD is 12 months.
  • Extreme exhaustion is still all I have going on.

GTKY: We've only told our best friends so far so no strange comments yet.
  • Pretty nauseated but not sick to my stomach.  Just constantly feeling blah.  The only other symptom that I commented in an earlier post is that my upper stomach is getting really big and I can't suck it in.  In fact, it is quite uncomfortable, especially by the evening.

GTKY:  Also "was this planned?"  In their defense, DD was a very big shock so maybe that is why.  IDK why people need to ask that either!  I would never!

  • Our little guy is 14 months and I am 6w5d, I get the same reaction from people!
  • 6'4 today. My breasts are not as tender and don't appear quite as swollen. With my history of miscarriage, I would be freaking out, but nausea is starting to rear it's ugly face...Which is reassuring.
  • So far Ive been experiencing nausea and only wretch in the mornings - been trying to eat something before I get up which has helped but today the nausea has hit me big time and all day! I can't stand up without feeling like I'm going to throw up and there's so much to do between cooking dinner and cleaning - feeling very weepy too!
So hungry but don't want to eat.
  • This is our second pregnancy, first was a miscarriage. I am hating every second of the nausea and I somehow caught a head cold as well. I am feeling optimistic though since nausea is better then not being pregnant :-) I've been laying around a lot and missed work today because brushing my teeth made me nauseous and dizzy.

No one has said anything weird yet, but when I got annoyed with my husband about something completely valid (regardless of hormones) my SIL said "oh, just breathe, it's your hormones" lol I felt my "hormones" really starting to kick in then!
  • Worst nausea to date the last two days. Had to run to the bathroom between classes today (I'm a teacher) because I almost lost it. I haven't thrown up since I was a kid, so I'm fighting it like crazy. I HATE barfing. The worst part is that after I left the bathroom (after dry-heaving for five minutes), I came across two students who were about to fight. I was the only staff around, and threw myself in the middle without even thinking about it. Not the smartest move. Luckily I only got jostled around a bit, and no punches were thrown. It wasn't until afterwards (when I thought about how stupid that was) that the full impact of what could have happened hit me. I've been shaky and anxious ever since! DH was NOT happy when I told him about it. Whoops.

  • I threw up this morning for the first time. Made a 30 minute train journey and 15 minute bus journey and just made it in the door before I had to run to the toilet. Been felling very nauseous these last two days. I've been feeling hungry but not really wanting to eat anything for fear of being sick. I've been snacking on crackers, green apples seem to help. I made a 3 hour car journey as well and am so happy I didn't have to throw up. I just munched on crackers the whole way. Still feeling very tired.

First day I absolutely could not go to work due to morning sickness. Crying about it. Legitimately crying about how $h!tty I feel. Also realized I've been taking my prenatal incorrectly. Feel a little stupid. Read that 9th week is the worst for morning sickness....I hope this gets better. 8weeks4days.
  • Feeling ok dr prescribed me zofran but I don't want it :( I want to do this naturally!

Gtky: This older woman saw a pic of my s.o. And said ooooo I see why you're pregnant look at daddy
  • 8w1d my nausea seems to be under control. frequent urination throughout night (4 times at least) breasts are tender at touch. normal bloat, otherwise life is good! Can't wait to see baby again hopefully soon :)

So, I was totally under the impression that I was already experiencing the excess saliva, but I was wrong. Ladies, it's worse. I literally DROOLED on my desk today, like stringy little baby drool. I was only eating a cheeto, goodness. Now I'm all phlegmy and there's lots of extra cm today. Hoping I don't have another drool episode, but here's to our gummy bears making us just a little more gross every day :):)

  • First post ever!! Not quite sure I have all the acronyms down:)  First time prego and 6w 5 days

I have been lucky to not have any throwing up yet, but I seem to feel sick first thing in the morning and then late at night too- so sleeping has been very hard since I cannot fall asleep and lot awake feeling sick.  I wake up to pee several times and have bizarre dreams!  Also when I literally am eating I feel good, but right after I am done I get so sick like I ate WAY too much- and sometimes I only had a few bites.

Also the opposite of constipation....but everyone is different right?

When we told my FIL (father in law?) he immediately asked us due date and when we said late Jan he said "good, studies have shown that the concentration of NHL players born in Jan-Mar is higher than the general population since those born those first three months are the biggest since the years are divided at Dec 31, so they are usually the best athletes and go the farthest in their career.."  WTF!?  Not even sure its a boy....and neither my husband and I are even Hockey fans?  Sigh.

Mine so far was 8!!! Terrible! Week 9 was great. 10 so far has been worse then 9 but not as bad as 8. I will always remember 8 as the worst (hopefully)
