I made the mistake of talking about possible induction in front of MIL... My husband joked that if I end up with a c-section at least you get 2 extra weeks of paid disability.... (He gets a pass for trying to be funny)... And MIL immediately says "she doesn't want a c-section, babies are supposed to come naturally"... Ugh I obviously don't want major surgery but if that's the way it has to be then fine... Ugh she just irritates me to no end.
@amark11 yes, I posted about it a couple if times yesterday... Going in on Thursday to check progress and to discuss... Doctor is concerned that baby may be big and does not want me to go too far past EDD (DS was 9.3)... She really wants nature to take it's course but will be considering a possible indication once I hit 40 weeks...just another thing to google and worry about it :-/
I should have posted this last week but oh well. I went in for my 36 wk appt and at the end, the nurse (in training) gets ready to give me a TDAP booster and says "Are you ready for another indignity of pregnancy?"
I had so many things go through my mind, I didn't know how to respond. 1. This isn't a pediatrician's office, it's a gd shot in the arm. This isn't an indignity under any circumstances. 2. I just had my GBS swab and I would consider a Q-tip in the butt much more of an indignity. 3. DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHERE BABIES COME OUT OF??
I'm due June 12 (hoping for a VBAC). My mom texted me a couple days ago to first, ask what my due date was, and then she proceeded to tell me that I need to either have the baby early or wait until the 15th because she just booked a 4 day cruise in the Carribean from the 11-14.
Wtf lady. It's not that I was planning on having her in the delivery room or anything but there's a good chance I will end up with a repeat c and for as much as I love my mil, I was banking on having my mum around to break up her "smother-in-law-ness".
What grinds my gears the most is that, she's not going with my dad or anything. She's going with some random friend for her birthday, just the two of them (for a 29th birthday nonetheless). So freaking random and weird.
Andplusalso, it's averaging 25 Celsius here (77ish for you American ladies). Why the eff do you need to go south when it's beautiful here.
Maybe I just sound like a whiny brat, but I feel like my mom can be so selfish sometimes.
My mom literally calls me 7/8 times a day asking about my "symptoms" and if I feel anything or think today's the day. It's making the wait so much worse with the constant reminders from her... Just stop asking! I promise I will tell you if it's happening!

My doctor is also talking induction because of a fibroid. I was talking to my MIL about it, and she says, "well I'm thinking you'll go into labor, I'm choosing to think positive." It really annoyed me because I don't look at trying to prepare myself for being induced is a negative thing, nor is being induced if it's necessary. Totally agree with not what I planned, but if that's what had to happen, then that's what has to happen. I worry about this leading to c section too, but ultimately just want baby to arrive safely.
Ugh! I know my own mom would be driving me nuts, but I miss her beyond belief right now!
@mccall35 don't feel bad! My mom is doing the same thing! She booked a flight and trip to Seattle to visit a friend for June 27 through July something. And she is the relief nanny for my sister so she can't come when baby us born even...... So she probably won't meet the baby until July.... Which she thinks she can handle but reality is when he's born she's going to freak if she can't come right away .... That's just her personality. So I have zero clue why she booked that trip.
@ElRuby sorry I missed the reason - saw you had said it was being considered, but didn't catch why. Careful with Google! Will be thinking of you, and hoping it works out in a way so that you feel comfortable and empowered about the decision. Due date twins gotta stick together! Xo
I do love my MIL, but she also loves to talk about how she had NO drugs when she gave birth to DH. I want to be like fabulous...where's the trophy and the million dollars you got for that. Lol!
I'm all for all natural and praise you ladies that do it...but knowing me I'm going for the drugs.
I know how you feel. My MIL keeps going on about how she delivered all of her children without medication because she just felt like it made them sleepy and how I should do the same. I'm just over here like no thanks lady I know my pain tolerance and that will definitely be well above it so bring on the epidural.

@klkonwi I just saw your comment on the name thread so effing funny considering this lady is using her real name and would be putting herself in harm's way if we were a bunch of pregnant serial killers. PS How has that not been the plot of a movie yet?!
I just had a breakdown because or bouncer was torn in one spot and we have to return it. Ugh, it was the last thing we needed before Tuesday. Then DH starts having a panic attack over the co sleeper he bought. It slightly smells like smoke and we've tried everything to rid that awful smell. Nothings working. So we are both having some sort of battle with the stress of not feeling prepared for baby. Our house is a freak show right now.

Did anyone else notice this lady already made an identical thread that got zero responses... Take the hint
@MrsWiggleWaggle@Westypet I'm loving the gifs! Especially the vacuum/sharkcat/duck...how have I never seen that one before?! LOL! And the analogy that comes to mind watching the cat pushing the dog out the door is perfection =D>
Also, @devyns2nd have you tried washing the co-sleeper with white vinegar and baking soda? If you can't wash it spritzing with a diluted mixture may help. White vinegar is my go-to for tough/unpleasant smells.
DH and the roommate are playing guitar (and DH is singing), LO is loving it and its adorable/something ive always enjoyed, but im still generally upset with him [-(
also debating on if i should make brownies or not. last night i made banana chocolate chip muffins, a week ago it was chocolate chip cookies. im really craving/wanting some chocolate. and if i do make brownies.. do i make peanut butter brownies.. or regular with maybe some walnuts in them. hmmmmmm....
So this just happened. FI has it in his head that diarrhea will be my first sign of labor so he constantly asks about my poops.... I was just pooping and he came into the bathroom (he has never seen me poop before-just one boundary we don't cross) and asked me, is it soft?! To which I replied "get the hell out of here I'm pooping! And threw a roll of TP at his head.
@JessHeppell I vote peanut butter too! I'm so making brownies tomorrow...I'd make them tonight but it literally just took me about 10 minutes to get comfy. Maybe when I get up to pee in 5 minutes I'll head to the kitchen and make some. Lol.
yeah not sure why i feel like baking all the things right now. maybe a nesting type thing? or making sure i have a bunch of junk to eat once LO comes (if they survive that long)
@klkonwi I didn't click on the name post because I didn't really care what name she chose, but I had to go check out your comment. Hilarious! Loved it!
2. I just had my GBS swab and I would consider a Q-tip in the butt much more of an indignity.
Woah woah woah, was the GBS swab in the butt?? Cause if so, I either totally misunderstood or my OB didn't tell me.
And also, I'm green in the face with all these full moon babies. I wish I wish with all my heart. **as I look down at my super not dropped belly, a super comfy baby, and not even anything resembling a contraction**
Hi all! I'm new on the forums here and just wanted to post to say hi! I'm already laughing and enjoying reading through this thread. Switched over from baby center cause I felt like a change of scenery I guess... I've been taking more time to sit and read on my phone a Iot since I've had constant BH this week. This is my 2nd baby and I'm due June 25th. It's been going pretty well. I look forward to passing the time reading the posts and maybe chiming in here and there. Also, I'm not a serial killer haha.
Oooh I love the term stabby. Stabby sounds like I'm adding it to fat and jealous... As the perfect pregnancy symptom ! @mollyanne01@Mommaswizz
P.s. My sisters name is Molly Anne.
Welcome @JunB25 !!! Excited to have you. It's awesome you got the hint and posted where appropriate!!! Jump right in on the sarcasm train and start posting!!! For the record I'm not a serial killer either but it was fun to joke with her..... Lol
I'm actually really glad I asked the GBS swab question because a lot of ppl say they had the anal part done and some not. The more knowledge/experience the better I feel !!!!!
@klkonwi it's my standard response these days to the "how are you feeling," question. It effectively shuts the convo down so I don't have to tell them it feels like I have a lead weight tied to my Virginia or that I feel like all the swear words ever.
My FIL jokes that him and I should get a 2 for one deal at the hospital for pain. He has a herniated disc AND just had shoulder surgery. He knows I've been so miserable with headaches and migraines...... Bleh.

Where have you been my whole pregnancy? That just effectively summed up how I'm feeling. Next time someone asks me how I'm doing "I feel like all the swear words ever... And stabby... And fat and jealous"
This list is getting more amazing every day.
Thanks! You won't see my full name online where I can help it! I thought your comment was funny although I did vote on her kids' name. I personally don't want opinions on names-- even from my family

I just pushed up my sleeve and said no big deal.

@Sammy k what a weird nurse....
Hoping this full moon pans out for me tonight!
Did I miss the part where judgement/stupid comments were needed in this stage of your pregnancies?
Edited bc of gif fail.

And I've totally laid down and let her do all the chores since my bladder issues started. It feels great.
