Doctor prob will only call back tomorrow. But I have my generic sono tomorrow anyways. It's not a pulse. Seriously the bump needs to have the option for videos. You guys would be freaked out. I'm telling you. I'm ok boot science and I completely see why some of your are skeptical but at this point it's the only thing that makes sense. It has stopped now for about an hour. Did the same this the last few days. Then when I like down wiggle wiggle starts in no means is it like a kick I've seen those and felt them on my sister. It's like a flutter and pull. Funny enough when I eat I've notice it stops.
You asked for feedback. Just because someone questions if it's the baby or not, doesn't equal negativity. Lots of us are basing our "opinions" off of science. But no one is saying absolutely not.
A video would be cool to see in general as I would be curious to see what it could look like if a baby were visible on the outside at 12 weeks!
Anyone who has spent any amount of time here would know what kind of responses you are going to get for making a post like this.
I second what @kyleneum13 said. If you've never had a baby before, how do you know it's not the things others have suggested? This is my third child. I'm not saying you can't be feeling your baby moving, I remember distinctly feeling it at 14 and 13 weeks respectively. But there really isn't a way for you to be feeling it from the outside. I'm glad your doctor was nice to you about it.
When you actuallyfeel it, you'll know for sure and understand what we're talking about
I wouldn't say it's absolutely impossible you are feeling the baby but it's extremely unlikely you can actually see it moving, the baby cannot have the physical strength to move around and be visual for someone else or even your husband feeling it, it's not about being negative it's just the baby it's like a fly in a pond at this stage, it's got so much space in there. Its hard as a doctor to rule it out because there's no way to get inside your body and feel what you're feeling, in medicine we say 2 + 2 doesn't always equal 4 because symptoms are subjective to the patient. Signs like blood pressure, heart rate we can measure, things like pain, feeling, movement, we have to trust what the patient says and go with that.
Let me give you a tangible example to what this means. A patient has a stroke that leaves him in a coma, as a doctor I'm obligated to tell the family it's highly unlikely this person will ever wake up, is it impossible?? Not always, I can't rule it out but I can say it's highly unlikely. Your doctor was obligated not to disprove your feeling because she can't actually feel it herself, doesn't make it a fact though.

If your doctor said it's a possibility then forget what everyone else says. Don't let anyone bring you down during this exciting time!!! only you know what you're feeling
This is my second and I'm having uterine spasms like crazy. They are visible and very different from baby movement. But obviously I already know what that feels like.
Dont get offended OP. I understand how it's hard to read so many posts in disagreement, especially when you're good and hormonal! It's either the baby or not. Doesn't really matter either way. People, including doctors and Internet posters, can only speculate and that's what everyone is doing.
If your doctor said it's a possibility then forget what everyone else says. Don't let anyone bring you down during this exciting time!!! only you know what you're feeling
I don't think anyone is trying to bring her down, and it's true, only she can know what she's feeling. Most have said it's not impossible she might be feeling the baby but at this stage a baby does not have the physical strength for the movement to be visible from the outside, it's just too small, there's too much space around it. Baby is barely 2 inches long, that's less than the size of a finger. Can you imagine something so smell pushing through layers of her body so hard you can actually see it on the outside? There's just no way. She feeling it? That's another story, that could happen.
Baby would have to bounce around the uterus like a ball to even reach. It can stretch full force and won't reach enough to move her abdominal wall.

Sorry about the above post. That was me trying to use the search function to figure out some of these acronyms. I accidentally typed it in the reply space. That's an embarrassing first post! Still trying to figure out how to use this board If there's a way to delete I couldn't figure it out...

Haha @mnwilkey, you're so cute. The search function fans among us loved your first post!

Agreed! I would much rather see a post where someone is trying to use the search function then a post about how the search function does not work! LOL.
Hi ladies. I got my answer from my doctor and I'm finding this thread getting very negative which is why I was hesitant on positing. It's kinda disappointing that some women on the bump belittle others. I've seen it in other threads and has made reluctant to post some of my thoughts or feelings. If I had a YouTube account I would post, but I don't and as much as I would love to help the few all I have to say is trust your feelings keep an open mind and talk to your doctor. Be kind ladies I'm off this thread. Thanks again for taking the time
No, no. Just stop. No one belittled you at all. Some people kindly stated what else they thought it might be. If you're looking to post and have everyone agree with you this is not the place for you. Please don't start drama.

@BabyVAZ please come back and think about posting the video? We all want to know and now your thread is turning dramatic. Please let us see the movement? There are probably 500 women that are waiting to see and you just posted and run. It's not very considerate to those that have taken the time to write well thought out responses. Plus, I know that there are a lot of other mothers just like you that would like you to show the skeptics exactly what you're describing. I know I would greatly appreciate it.
This thread made me want to throw my phone. If people are so sensitive on the internet, how do they leave the house and actually interact with others? There was no belittling. People are skeptical because many of them have had many children. If you want to be validated, don't ask people for their opinions. Just post and say "Hi ladies, I'm looking to be 'yes'd to death! Please humor me!" You can't hear tone through text, but let's give each other the benefit of the doubt and enjoy the support.

FEELING and SEEING are two very different things. That's what we're discussing here
But, does it really matter to you all? I mean I was just congratulating her and I get two people quoting my comment? LOL.

They can't defend themselves after you said people on this post were bringing her down? Stop with this over sensitivity shit FFS!!! It's getting really old! No one was negative, no one belittled her and no one was bringing her down!! Just stop!
@AudriannaMaria I quoted you to clarify what you said. You did not just congratulate her, you stated other people were bringing her down and it was never my intention to bring her down and I personally don't think anyone else tried to bring her down for that matter. She asked for others opinions and people responded based on experience and knowledge. It does not affect me she thinks she saw her baby, I just gave my honest opinion. Could she feel her baby? Sure, it can totally happen and I can't question that, I'm not inside her to know but could she actually see the baby moving? Not a chance. Baby can't push through so many layers at this stage, it's just too small, too fragile. That shouldn't even be open for debate it does not poses the strength to do so.

@AudriannaMaria just to clarify, in case if you were unaware, @fiorip is also a physician. She was giving her position and her opinion based on her medical training. I think that it is more than appropriate, and I'm sure that you would agree, that a doctor would come on and state the practical training of physicians and why they would or would not be able to decipher such with certainty.
She was in no way negative, if you go back and reread her comments you will see that clearly for yourself. I'm sure that she was not quoting you to be adversarial in any way shape or form.
I honestly dont care. Haha. Congratulations again op, have a lovely evening ladies.
If you don't care, then why do you keep posting? Unnecessary drama! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and if you post ASKING for people's opinions you shouldn't get mad when people share them!!
They asked if I felt the baby moving at my appointment Friday at 11 weeks, so I would say it is possible. I can feel ovulation too, but I haven't felt anything specific yet.
In my last pregnancy (3rd) I felt the baby at 13 weeks and my SO could feel it in the outside at 15 weeks. This is my 4th pregnancy and I'm a lil over 11 weeks and sometimes I feel movement but idk if it's baby or....... lol so hard to know for sure sometimes
For one , every pregnancy is different . For two ladies are your forgetting the hormones surging through OP's body just like yours? Have you ever heard your husband say something and gotten upset and had him look at you like how did you come up with that? She isn't starting drama, she's emotional. She was really excited, and yes everyone was respectful but getting told your wrong by 40 people might make someone not hormonal upset let alone a pregnant woman. OP , I personally think it could be your baby !! Maybe not seeing it those might be muscles but flutters can happen early None the less congrats on your healthy jumping bean
If you can feel a single cell moving through your fallopian tubes, you better be able to feel your baby moving. In fact, you should have been feeling it all along.
OP asked for opinions and ideas on what else it could be. Both of my pregnancies I've had muscle spasms where there are these ripples over my abdomen and pelvic area. They feel similar to baby movement flutters and are visible from the outside (even look similar to my last pregnancy when you could see baby moving) but they are most definitely not baby. I know OP said it wasn't muscle spasms but these can present in so many different ways that it's hard to say that.
I do agree with others in that it's hard to believe it would be possible to see. At this point in pregnancy the top of the uterus can barely be felt above the pelvis. Forget all the tissue, no baby can be seen moving through bone. That's not to say the baby isn't being felt moving by OP but I doubt that's what is being seen or felt by her husband. Now this is my opinion. If OP wants validation, the next sono would be a good place to start. See if the movements on the sono match with the sensations.

@BostonBaby1 - I have Crohn's as well. No fun.
Edited because autocorrect is rarely ever correct.
