1. Seeing my friend from childhood with her 1st baby son 2. Shopping at Just Kids Stuff garage sale with her! 3. Lots of GREAT finds there for my soon to be son (Due June 5th) and then for my cousin that had her baby this past Sunday - she didn't have any much clothes for her so I shopped some. 4. Going to see my cousin to surprise her those neat clothes!
My moments were/are: 1.) Getting to see LO on an ultrasound today. She's so cute and she's doing really well in there! 2.) Getting to lie down for a nap right now. Yay!
My couch that we ordered in FEBRUARY is finally here!!!!!! And undamaged. And the recliners are kick ass right now on my hips. Even though I haven't slept in a day.... I could not be more excited. Also a friend came to my town to visit today! Now..... I need some sleep for the love of Pete.
I hung out outside in the sun until I stared to sweat and began to wonder if I was cooking my baby so I came back inside into the shade. But now - popsicles! :-bd
I finally got all of the kids closest cleaned out and organized today. Took out all of the winter clothes and put in all of the summer stuff. I made a list of daily cleaning things I want to get done before next Thursday (induction date.) Normally I would go on a cleaning rampage, but I'm trying to not over do it and send myself to the hospital any sooner. Crazy as it seems, and I know that babies have their own agenda, I just need him to stay put until next week. Life is crazy busy right now. Two of our kids play baseball, and we have games/practice 7 days a week.
On Tuesday I badly sprained my ankle (rocking the air cast over here!!) but after 2 days of icing and elevating I can finally put a bit of pressure on it!! I celebrated by baking a cake
-we have a service that comes to our office that does express manicures (It's seriously the highlight of my week). i made a joke to the lady that does my nails every week and told her I needed to get on amazon to order these amazing keratin gloves they use to make your hands soft. She goes "NO!! I have extra!!" she totally gave me a giant bag full of them. I was not expecting that at all. I'm spoiled being able to get this done in my office with such a sweet lady.
I woke up in an empty house and was able to flip on the lights and music without waking anyone else up. And I found out LO's head is down. I'm thinking about having ice cream for dinner, just because I don't have a toddler to feed!
Agreed. I miss it. I'm not sure if I'm allowed or not. When I went to the hospital at 31 weeks for my irritable uterus they told me I was on pelvic rest but didn't say for how long. Definitely asking tomorrow. Seriously can't make it till baby is here and then wait to heal.
It's our 10th wedding anniversary today!! I stopped by the bakery I used to work at before DS was born to pick up a dessert for tonight to celebrate and was offered my old job back, but as a contract employee so I can work flexible part time hours that work with my (and baby's) schedule. I'd mainly be doing wedding cakes and the more elaborate, fun decorating stuff so I was totally stoked. I probably wouldn't start back up until the late fall. The bakery is under new ownership too, which is even better bc my old boss was a passive aggressive lunatic. Super excited about the possibility!!
I got a pedicure today and that was a huge excitement! My feet actually feel good for once.
Also, we got our cable set up today! 5 days with no tv has been weird. I missed my HGTV. A bored fiancé is a productive fiancé though... So I'm a little sad that will be over!
Today was a really nice, surprise lazy day at home. I finally finished washing every single baby item we have! Last half day of work tomorrow, then maternity leave. BOOM!
I bought a night gown and a nice pj set from target (both in black to be hospital safe). So exciting because I am sick of sleeping in the same ratty t shirt!
I had a better day at work! I wasn't on my hands and knees monitoring someone! I'm about to get Wendy's and McDonald's for dinner (God bless my husband for doing this for me)! YAAAASSSSS all around
TTC: 1/2014

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
We're starting to clear out a guest bedroom and put together nursery furniture! I bought all the things in the land and now, since we're not showing our house over the next few days, we can change this room over! So happy. :-)
Little man (DS1) has been having a word explosion lately, saying new words every day. Today, I asked what else he wanted to eat and he said "cheeese!" for the first time, without me even mentioning it. It was so cute to see how proud he was of himself for saying it and being understood. He is so funny and adorable. I am cherishing these moments I have with him before baby arrives!
Woot, tomorrow (Friday) is my last day of commuting, which is a little over an hour each way! (Mind you not my last day working, but I'm psyched to not have to travel, like @mommaswizz!

AMEN! I don't mind working so much since it will keep my mind off of the minutes and hours till my girl is here but commuting is the worst! I'll be celebrating with you in spirit @hoodoll82 !! <:-P

Hope you and lo are ok! Everyone who's ever been hit by a ball knows the full pain that is!!
@queequeg09256@kherman14 thanks, they did stress test and bloodwork to make sure nothing had ruptured since I am RH negative but all tests came back great so they sent me home with just a sore tummy. I'll take it!
I baked raspberry and white chocolate cookies and they turned out awesome! I have coeliacs so I have to eat gluten free, but you'd never know with these And I have half a batch of cookie dough in the freezer so that I can have fresh baked cookies after the baby gets here.
I just posted in Daily Symptoms, but my water broke about an hour ago! So that qualifies as exciting. I guess I'm one of the 15% of women whose water breaks before going into labor, because I felt totally normal and just was getting up to pee. And for me, I did in fact hear and feel a "pop" - at first I thought it was a hiccup! But them when I stopped peeing, there was a gush of fluid continuing to pour out. I can now say I'm really glad I bought Depends as I'm trying to "relax and hang around the house" per the doctor!
