I had some one walk up to me the other day and tell me. "I was not as big as you are with twins!" I said with a smile, oh I didn't know you had twins. then I hugged her and walked away.
I had someone look at my hand (didn't see a ring) and then asked if I knew who the father was......... Awesome
*jaw drop*
Yes. People are ridiculous. In retrospect I wish I would have been calm enough to be a smart ass... "Yup, but still working on figuring out who the mother is
My MIL told me at a family dinner where i filled a plate that I was a "fat ass" and was going to be "bigger than my husband when I deliver". 1. I weigh 130 and have only gained 7 lbs. 2. My husband is 6'0 and weighs 160. Instead of having a meltdown and not eating my food. I simply looked at her and said at least I'll lose mine after I have her.
A colleague asked me when I was due abd I told him August 25 and he looked at me all horrified and said : OMg you're so big already, my wife was nine month along and has never been as big !. Worst comment ever.
My co-worker in front of my whole office today told me by June I may need two seats. Ummmm excuse me? I am not even that big. I have gained 20lbs so far but geesh talk about making a girl feel horrible about her pregnant self. This co-worker than began to back track after the whole office told her she was rude. She said what you gain weight when you are pregnant that is what you are supposed to do. I am mortified.

Wow that's awful! I would have been so upset! Some people have no manners
I've been lucky to not have any fat comments yet, but the most irritating and offensive thing was when I told my boss I was pregnant....her response was "Was this a planned pregnancy?"
I'm 25, have been with my husband for a total of 8 years, and am financially stable so I'm pretty sure I'm in a good position to have a child. AND IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. But yes, I was on hormone replacement therapy for 6 months and charted my fertility to get pregnant so YES, it was very planned.
I was waiting to speak with a banker about opening a new account. The manager came over and started shooting the breeze with me and a few other customers. He asked me if baby is my first. I said, "No, we have a 21 month old girl." He then asked if I was having a boy or girl. I beamed, "another girl!" He got a sad look on his face and said, "awwww, I bet your husband is disappointed."
No, asshole my husband is actually thrilled it's another girl!!!!
My coworker asked last week if im ever going to start looking pregnant. ..i commented that i feel like i do. . Have a decent sized little bump even though i haven't gained much weight. . Her response was "well you just don't really look pregnant, more like the average American not really fit body"...umm thanks i think?
"Hey fatty", "any day now", and wow you're big, are my fave. A friend asked if this was planned.. Yeah! We're married for 4 years, I'm 32... Wtf! But the taxi driver made my day, said I look amazing pregnant.. And went and told me about his wife's birth and that it's amazing, made my day!
Not really an insult, more of a WTF, but someone I work with told me yesterday that his wife is joining him at an upcoming work conference because they're trying to make a baby. I was like....I do not need to know that you're trying or when your wife ovulates!! I feel like maybe they haven't been trying long, because it took us almost a year and I would have hated for people to know. Too much pressure! They must be in that phase where you assume it's all going to happen fast and perfectly.
I did have someone tell me they were scared to see DH as a father. I think she was trying to be funny, but I found it really weird! DH is so great with kids, I feel like he's going to be much more of a natural at this than I am!!! He's even going to be a SAHD, for cripes sake.
@JNOVA2015 it used to make me so mad when people, really just one family "friend" kept saying we should never have kids. Well, guess what! We did...so this is the first time I'll see her since finding out we are pregnant on vacation in a couple weeks... Let's see how it goes!
