Life Is Not Fair

Okay ladies… This post may or may not blow up in my face, but I'm willing to take that chance. We need to stop the insipid drama that is going on in nearly every post. The fact is is that there are many personalities on this board and there is no way that we are all going to agree.

My dearly departed father always made sure to instill in me the fact that "Life is not fair sweetheart. Nobody ever said that life is fair. If you can count on one thing in this world, besides the fact that I will always love you, it is that life is inherently unfair."

So… In the spirit of life being unfair, I suggest that we all take a moment to get over ourselves.

This post is not directed at anybody in particular. In fact, quite the opposite. It is a post for everybody to take a pause and realize that no matter how bad things may seem, they could always get worse.

Now that we've gotten the doom and gloom out of the way, why don't we take a moment to appreciate what we have that is positive in this world? If you're not in the mood to do that, vent... Or you could always feel free to post a gif...

I know, I know… I am so mean and rude and unfair. That's exactly my point. Life is not fair. Can we all please accept this and stop the endless amounts of drama on this board? Not everybody is always going to agree with you. Just accept that as a fact of life.

I was having similar thoughts when feeling the increased tension on the board lately. This board and this website is centered around our ability to CREATE LIFE and the joys and sorrows that come with such a special task. It creates such a sour taste in my mouth when that thought is forgotten and overshadowed by such silly drama. @BostonBaby1 I appreciate your efforts to continue to provide support and answers to others despite your loss, especially because I am certain most of us would not have the strength to do so! And I doubly appreciate this post in particular! Life is not fair, but it definitely is precious... ain't nobody got time for all the dramz!

I had to take a break from my first bmb bc the drama is too much.... once we got further along, more familiar with each other and weeded the crazies out things settled down and we had a grand ol time. oh and then we moved to Facebook ha

Additionally, I wish people would stop deleting their posts when things don't go the way they want! Someone else may have had a similar question that instead of spreading the questions and answers to the entire board turns into a confusing half deleted post of people arguing with themselves. Does that make sense? Am I being silly?

PSA: I WON'T be offended or mad if you say I am being dumb lol even though I know most of y'all would never use those words!

Okay okay, I'll admit I was being kind of a brat lol but your right, we all have so much to be grateful for! And even though we all might bicker and complain at each other, when we are in need of true support you ladies really do rally together to make someone feel special. I admire that you always try to keep the peace, you are a very kind person.

Sweetheart, I know I already said that this post was not directed at anybody in particular but I think that we can all agree that you've had a particularly rough go at this pregnancy.

You should totally learn how to gif though… It will help make you feel better. And no, I am not a doctor or a God and no, I am not a doctor or a G-d. Just a middle-aged woman that thinks that gifs are like a little drops from the heaven above.

My positive is that my DH got a new job the week after we found out I was pregnant. I was freaking out bc I knew HG would happen again this pregnancy and our old insurance was terrible so I was concerned how we would make it. Our deductible went from $6500 down to $875!!! So even though being sick sucks I'm so so happy for his bump in pay and the new amazing insurance. I think this post was well needed!

Sharing positive news, despite my pain:

Started carpooling to work with my also pregnant (and only 4 days ahead of me!) Co worker and shaved nearly an hour off drive time AND doing some major bonding.

Preach it, sista. It needed to be said.

Agreed, we are in for the battle of a lifetime, bringing life into this world and making sure that person that we birth doesn't grow up to suck lol. We shouldn't be battling each other or coming on here looking for a fight. That completely defeats the purpose of a support board.

If someone quoted the OPs post then it can't really be deleted. The OP can delete or erase their post, but the quote can't be deleted by the OP.

Ok, I'm odd ball out here but I LOVE reading and lurking at the drama threads! It always catches me off guard how quickly it escalates and what becomes a hot topic. Maybe because im a grandma (42yo) here and have learned to keep my mouth shut and that you will never change anyone's mind, but I love it. I laugh and laugh at how seriously pissed people get! Reminds me of the old bump. And sometimes it's good to hear the " other side". some ladies on here, while I may not agree with their point of view are very articulate. And I love watching y'all put people in their place. I'm dark and twisty sometimes, it's my guilty pleasure.
